Nigerians are suffering so much hardship, hunger and insecurity in the current president Tinubu's government.

It was and is still the turn of the South East to produce Nigeria's next president according to a lot of Nigerians who believe in equity including governor Samuel Ortom, Afenifere, PANDEF and the Middle Belt Forum etc and no right thinking person will throw away what belongs to them after years of cries of marginalization;
2. HE Peter Obi was generally seen as the best candidate among the others with integrity, credibility, competence and capacity according to president Olusegun Obasanjo and others.
3. Prior to 2023, the Igbo people of the Southeast had been voting for outsiders like president Olusegun Obasanjo (even when dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu contested), late president Umar Musa Yaradua, former president Goodluck Jonathan and former vice president Atiku Abubakar.

When it was said to be the turn of the North in 2015, close to 90 - 99% of voters in Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Borno, Yobe, Niger, Adamawa, Bauchi and Gombe states voted enmasse for former president Muhammadu Buhari.
I didn't hear or read anyone accusing them of bigotry or voting along tribal lines.
