He's not the first person to start it neither will he be the last.[/s]

Chris Ngige should be our next SFG. He deserves it!
I heard the SGF was zoned to ANPP of which onu was chairman. If Ngige gets it though, then that will be good

just for those who are wondering who professor anwuka is, he us an in-law to rochas, his son is married to rochas's daughter...Familiocracy that's the type of government we have in imo...one begin to wonder if there's no qualified stalwart from apc in imo...but don't shout yet, wait till you see the nominees for our ministerial slot.
imo has indeed gone to the dogs

Prof. A.G. Anwuka, the former VC of Imo state University is an Inlaw of Rochas and he is presently the Secretary to the Imo State Government. I think he should just remain in that position. He isn't ripe enough to have the federal appointment.

Ogbonnaya Onu is qualified for the job but I think he should remain one of the party leader just like Bisi Akande or he gets a ministerial post.

Chris Ngige is my preferred choice. Though he is from Anambra state, where Buhari didn't get good votes,I still support his candidature as the SGF.
mallam Rochas is really running a government of family members

80% of Lagos streets names are in Yoruba names or na Chukwugekwu una dey see angry grin

What's d title of kings in Lagos? Oba or Obi/Igwe

Lagos State house of assembly from 1960 ti date, how many Igbos names are there.

How many of our markets sound like Uhulu or Ugulu market

What is our choice of Language in Lagos? Yorubas I presumed

How do our Obas and Baales dress? Full Yoruba attire

What are the names of Senator representing Lagos state? Adekunle sound like Igbo name abiii

The names of Ministerial nominees from Lagos are always what? Ibo or Yorubas
But there are non yorubas holding elective offices in Lagos, how come? better go and think of developing your mud village called state you come from in the south west instead of claiming lagos where you have no stake.

I recall you once complained that you were never promoted to the position of a General?

I was not promoted, even to the position of a full Colonel. Maybe because I am a Yoruba man, I can say this boldly anywhere. Look at what happened to late Benjamin Adekunle, for example. Who fought the civil war more than Adekunle? But, he was neglected, Why? The exception was Akinrinade that managed to become the Chief of Army Staff. Ariyo was driven away, someone just placed a letter on his table that he was retired; he never saw the person. What offence did he commit? Just because he was Yoruba; so many Yorubas, like that, were neglected. Nothing was given to us. It is very terrible.

The force is dominated by the north and they want to continue to enjoy the largesse of the military. They claim that Yorubas have many engineers, lawyers, doctors and other professionals hence we should not wrest the military from the Northerners. We are still angry with how we were treated; we just bottled it up.

yorubas are a friendly people. we dont like fighting wars. we are a peaceful people for the most part and just want to live and let live. however you will be in for a shock if you mistake our jovial nature for weakness because when it comes down to battle, the oduduwa nation is world reknowned. our ancestry goes all the way back to the canaanites and we were the pharoahs in ancient egypt. do you see the sphinx in egypt ? does that look like a yoruba woman or not ? from ancient egypt we moved south and settled in west africa. we have a rich tradition and are warriors, but most of all ? we like to live and let live, until we are tried
No, its cowardice. The wannabe general who gave his own embellished account of the war has many frustrations, he is very bitter but in his words, he just had to bottle it up. Its not called friendly, its called cowardice or slave mentality

the yorubas are skilled in the art of psychological warfare. intelligence. now keep in mind this is 1967 and most were still somewhat primitive in their thinking at that time. what benjamin adekunle the master of psychological warfare did was buy a goat. and ordered one of his men to buy paint and brush. then he named the goat ojukwu and painted the name ojukwu on the goat. and petted the goat everyday as a way of psychologically placing ojukwu in an inferior pet animal like level and this way he saw the victory as already won because his opponent is a pet goat. do you see the mastery of psychological warfare in what the black scorpion did ? that gallant brave man was way ahead of his time in psychological warfare and intelligence. a true yoruba hero

I found this comment interesting..

dmercy141983:
*OTHERS GOVERNORS SHOULD GO FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE TOTURIAL FROM OBIANO*

GOV WILLIE OBIANO SUCCEEDING WHERE OTHERS ARE FAILING IN SALARY PAYMENT

Why Have Anambra And Lagos Been Finding It Easy To Pay Salaries And The Other 34 States Finding It Difficult To Do The Same?
In a phone conversation with my mum this evening, she told me Anambra Civil servants received April alert today and the Governor, Obiano is up to date with payment of salaries and leave allowances. he is not owing civil servants any thing according to my Mum who stays in Onitsha Anambra state with my dad

In a season and era where Osun, Benue, Ekiti, Rivers, Plataue And A host of other states are owing their civil servants and some of us on social media are defending them while blaming everything and anything on their behalf, hearing the news from Anambra gives a cause to cheer and demonstrated what is possible when a leader that thinks smart is in charge

It is not news that the revenue allocation shared among states have drastically reduced

O yes! it was in the news this morning that March allocation has further dropped to compare to what was shared in February, meaning that most state Governors would not pay salaries and fulfill their commitments next month before handover

Anambra state is not even among the top 10 revenue receiving states in Nigeria but yet Rivers that is among the top earners is owing their workers and Anambra is not owing

What Governor Willie Obiano is doing in Anambra state is simple: He blocked all the loopholes, aggressively increased his IGR to meet his wage bill of the state

Anambra IGR under Peter Obi was 500 Million Naira but today, it stands at 2 Billion Naira with ambitious plan to make it 10 Billion in the next two years

That is what good governance is all about and what Nigerian states need at this era, Oil prices is at the lowest peak

Nigeria wont make progress with our continue relaince on Oil sales and sharing of oil revenue

We have been moving in circle since 1966 when unitary government that depends on Lagos was introduced by late Ironsi and looking back from that year till now, not much progress have been made because we have refused to think and also Oil has turned to a curse rather than a blessing to us

It is undisputable that Nigeria experienced the best governance so far in our history from 1960 to 1966 when regions were independent from the center, there was no sharing of oil rents, the leaders in the region were smart enough and the progress they made were unrivaled and the structures they built then still stands true today of the eloquent visionary leadership that was in place then

I'm of the opinion that chronic debtors like Rauf Aregbesola and Governor Susuwam should please visit Obiano and ask him how he managed to achieve such feat which is commendable in this perilous time and what Obiano I know would tell them is this: He put on his thinking cap to aggressively increased his IGR which covered his wage bill while using Abuja allocation to do other things like building of schools and hospitals

As it stands now, Lagos and Anambra are the only two states that are up to date with paying of salaries and the Governors doing what their people elected them to do, .the other 34 states are blaming Abuja and fall in oil prices for their woes forgetting that what is happening to them is self inflicted and nothing more

Our Governors are the biggest danger and threat to our democracy but that should be a topic for another day
