customized13: forget about the budget which will not change the rusted roof of your building, ogun doesn't generate more igr than most eastern states, as a matter of fact ogun is infrastructurally very backward (this is where I was born).
Good night. guy we shall not forget the budget. You people should do some research before engaging people like omonnakoda instead of allowing him to stick a pointless point. omonnakoda said ogun budget is 210 billion. Why not also remind him osun state budget for 2014 is 216 billion why that of 2013 is 234 billion and yet omonnakoda claims ogun is more industrialized than osun state. Its south west voodoo economics at play! I challenge omonnakoda to mention 5 companies in osun state. |

The thing don tire me walahi, even the 3 malls every year work is going on but we are yet to see a completed one, am losing my patience on this government to be sincere you are a hypocrite. if there anywhere you should have lost patience its with Peter obi that started the project at the tail end of his 8 wasted years administration. The governor is even stretching his goodwill by continuing with the project. |

Are u blind to that same way u are blind to see that imo state does not have roads? look chino since you have refused to let imo state be because of your issues with abagworo, I will also not let Peter obi be so next time I launch my tirade on Adaobi, don't think I will be pacified by your emotions. I have told you abagworo is ikwerre, if you want to attack him use his origin not imo state. Or you don't have pictures of Ph slums? You say you are from uga, a town next to akokwa in imo state and you keep talking nonsense about state. |

Abagworo: There is no port as the dredging was blocked by usual suspects. Stop believing in fairy tales. We all still import through Lagos and Onne ports which is even for limited type of goods. Yar'adua started the project and would have taken it more seriously than Jonathan. the same usual suspects you want us to vote? I don't know why you like to contribute to igbo affairs. You feel your Rivers state is el dorado. Why don't you just focus on your rivers state and leave us alone. Rivers state is not a SE state and we prefer Lagos to Rivers state fyi. This is how you are deceiving imo people by claiming to be among them. We don't use onne port, we don't use Ph airport so fvck off! |

asha80: not sure if that news is recent at least I know work has been going on that market for some months now...airport in oba?where is the space? The news is recent, today's news on Sun. I guess the contract was just signed weekend. Yes. when mbadinuju started the market he also intended to build an international airport along with the market. Infact the airport was the first project Andy Ubah awarded during his stint as governor so the land is already mapped out there. |

Anambra signs N100bn agreement for international market The Anambra State Government has signed an agreement with a private market developer, Burkam Group Nigeria Limited, to build, operate and transfer, a N100 billion ultra-modern international market at Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state. The market, which was started in 1999 under the administration of the former governor of the state, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, but suffered some hitches, is expected to commence operation in March, this year, with about 1,300 of expected 20,000 shops already built. Speaking shortly before signing the contract, which will last for 15 years, the Anambra State Commissioner for Commerce and Industries, Mr. Ifeatu Olejeme, who represented Governor Willie Obiano, said the state government was backing the project hundred per cent. He said the market was in line with one of the governor’s four pillars of development, trade and commerce, to improve the opportunities of traders and the people of the state. Olejeme said the market, situated on the Onitsha- Owerri Expressway, when completed, would have all the facilities of a modern and international market such as fire service, convenience, parking lots, canteen, baking services, nursery and primary schools for nursing mothers among other basic infrastructure. He said the establishment of the market would help redistribute wealth among the communities in the state, and transform the immediate environment as their land and other things would appreciate. The commissioner promised that the state government would do the fencing of the market and the ring roads to show its commitment to the success of the project. The Chairman and managing director of Burkam Group Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Hassan Burkar, said with this agreement, the company would work 18 hours daily to meet the March 2015 deadline, as suring that he would not fail the stakeholders of the market. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=103926 |
