So the Politics section is only made for political parties? Are the issues raised not issues of politics, what is ethnic about the poor or anti poor policies of a governor? you better avoid dabbling into issues you know nothing about.
Politics › Re: Amaechi’s Life Under Threat As CP Suddenly Redeploys Escort Commander To The Gov by FreeGlobe(f): 6:56am On Sep 06, 2013
welcome development. Atleast while Amaechi may be afraid of his security, the cp too should be afraid of Amaechi staging a sinister move by either putting himself in harms way or else in order to further blackmail the cp.

Mods, whoever moved this thread at the speed of light to the ethnic section should explain to us what is ethnic about this thread:
Ohanaeze decries imposition of multiple
taxation on traders in Lagos
https://www.nairaland.com/1427591/ohanaeze-decries-imposition-multiple-taxation

What is ethnic about Ohaneze cautioning Fashola on his anti poor policies? You APC goons must allow your leaders to face scrutiny like you do for others. smh at the level of inferiority complex displayed here

Cheap lies. Peter Obi voted massively with 90k+ votes? Ngige 60k+ out of a million + registered voters even with Peter Obi dragging a frail Ojukwu to be able to rally support. Civil servants in Anambra totally detest Peter Obi, go carry out a research

and yet Ngige is more popular and pulls more crowds than Peter Obi anywhere in Anambra state? its a fact that Ngige's 2 years is far better than Obi's 8. Ngige's roads has outlived Peter Obi's poor standard roads, teachers all rally behind him and so on
Politics › Re: Osun Leads In Nigeria’s School Enrolment by FreeGlobe(f): 7:55pm On Sep 05, 2013
farochron: Why not keep your mouth shut. Are you from Osun State. Those of us from the southwest know who is doing what in the Southwest. As half Lagosian and Osun I think I give more kudos to Osun than Lagos. To whom much is given much is expected. If he gets little and he's turning out much then he should be honoured. Aregbesola has faired well in Education and Agriculture. At least he's focused on how to develop the state for the future.
Based on Wikipedia info? fool

slimghost: I can't trade words with a kid like you! But please face your hopeless state. Peter Obi is good for us and we appreciate his good works.
yes you lack facts to do so and same goes for you here:
shut your dirty mouth, I'm not here to argue who is Anambra or not. I'm here to drum it to your thick skull that Peter Obi is a fraud and the worse gov Anambra has produced, he has turned Anambra to one big village, no feel of government presence in the entire state. wasted 8 years

Antivirus92: who are those anambra civil servants complaining? Is it the same civil service that my father and mother are into? I fear u, u can go to any extent to display ur hatred for anambra and her people.
The real Anambra civil servants now fasting and praying for improved remuneration, the Anambra NLC

Antivirus92: my beloved state is not and will never be a hopeless like urs. Bet ur useless life, apga will win again in anambra. And their first agenda will be to distribute free rat-poison to people like u.
Thrash. You and your masters will be greatly disgraced come November. Anyway you are another destitute claiming Anambra, Every Anambra person knows Peter Obi is a fraud

Antivirus92: look at this bush man. They posted u to anambra from that ur termite-hill state and ur reward to them is to bash anambra. How much do perm-secs and commissioners earn monthly in ur state?
Under Peter Obi, Anambra civil servants are the least paid in the country. Perm Secs earn 150k. what a fraud!

slimghost: See this clown oo! Your mother and father are from Anambra and yet you are not from Anambra. cheesy cheesy Like i said earlier, face your hopeless state and leave Anambra alone. Peter Obi truly renovated most schools in my state, so stop spewing shameful lies here.
If repainting one classroom block in a school and maybe building public toilet is what you call renovation then you must be a bigger fool than I thought. I can't keep telling you how much more Anambra I am than you a destitute (ala bu otu). You know what, why not stop me from commenting on Anambra issues if you can. You are right though for saying Peter Obi has turned Anambra to a hopeless state.
Politics › Re: Anambra To Employ 5,000 Teachers by FreeGlobe(f): 6:11pm On Sep 05, 2013
slimghost: When Anambra issues are discussed, you should just STFU and face your state. Leave Anambra matters to Anambrarians and FYI, yes Peter Obi renovated most of the schools in Anambra State.
stfu you 'I must be Anambra Peter Obi sycophants'. Both my father and mother are both Anambra born and bred so I wonder who should speak on Anambra issues between us. Peter Obi is a fraud, go kill yourself son.

The AMAECHI saga caused by JONATHAN is an IMPEACHABLE OFFENCE! kiss
How is Jonathan a threat to peace in Nigeria? Don't be circuitous so we can help up back up your claim with the constitution and do you have any proofs that GEJ is responsible for amaechi's woes.

manny4life: I thought election was in November, exactly two months away (aka 8 weeks) and that's how he wants to infuse N15billion? Gov. Obi should gradually bow out because this is nothing short of a mischievous stunt, he wants to create chaos and thrown Anambra into commotion. Abt 8 weeks left before a new winner emerges, this is a time to commission all your mega projects, yet you're just beginning? Abeg, who is deceiving who?
Peter Obi and Mega projects in one sentence? cheesy cheesy cheesy
unless you mean his mall in Abuja and a gang of his beer factories
Politics › Re: Anambra To Employ 5,000 Teachers by FreeGlobe(f): 12:44pm On Sep 05, 2013
Antivirus92: It pains me that most anambra people judge their state from what they hear from outsiders. It's a pity. Peter obi has worked really hard. If all the governors we have been having or will be having can match his achievements, then in no distant time. Anambra will be a paradise.
nonsense. Peter Obi has turned Anambra to one big village. Ngige's 2 years is far better than the 8 years of the kleptomaniac Peter Obi who has done more (with state funds) for his private business than governance of the state.
Politics › Jonathan's Impeachable Offence by FreeGlobe(op): 12:40pm On Sep 05, 2013
I would like any of the APC goons to tell me the constitutional impeachable offence GEJ has committed since they have been running from thread to thread saying how apc will team up with the new pdp to impeach Mr. president or is just the grand and perpetual slavery of the owners and members of APC in dancing to the tunes of their Hausa/Fulani masters and offering their backs for there masters to ride to Aso rock? Any answers?

really, what an interesting sharing of events. What a plan from Peter Obi in 8 years and lets hope those schools were only renovated in your village and that's if you are from Anambra

For Ifeanyi Uba of the LP, his antecedents
betray him. These antecedents are his
inglorious records effectuated as a result of his
implication in the subsidy scam and sundry
matters like his alleged swindling of Cosmas
Maduka. In addition, he has the air of a typical
Igbo businessman who believes albeit
ignorantly that his money can get him anything
he wants. This is the popular view of some
Anambra people in certain quarters about
Ifeanyi Uba. According to them Ifeanyi Uba
will “sell Anambra state” if given the chance.
For Willie Obiano of APGA, his assumed
political defect is his supposed inexperience
and Peter Obi’s unimpressive nudging. Peter
Obi’s overt endorsement and support of Willie
Obiano reminds some Anambra people of the
evil epoch of god-fatherism in the state. Willie
Obiano is Peter Obi’s boy whose game will be
to protect Peter Obi’s interests. This is the
common perception which some Anambra
people have of the candidate. And this portent
they would like to preclude.
For Tony Nwoye whose party the PDP is locked
in a kerfuffle, it is his personality. Perhaps,
unkindly stereotyping him, Tony Nwoye is
perceived as a gangster whose first duty would
be to feather his own nest. The Anambra
people who share this view are critical of the
candidate for the reason that he may continue
and perpetuate the PDP’s reign of impunity,
corruption and exploitation at the centre in
the state. These are the pot-pourri of
divergent views about the candidates that can
be picked up in the streets of Anambra.
Finally, the assertions that have been made in
this piece are from an analysis and assessment
of the views, perceptions and thinking of
everyday Anambra people who form the
majority of the electorate in the state. In all,
the pulse of the Anambra people in view of the
forthcoming gubernatorial election is weak, if
not dead.

Politics › Anambra 2014 – The Pulse Of The Anambra People by FreeGlobe(op): 4:24pm On Sep 04, 2013
The Anambra people have had enough. Their
ostensible avidity regarding the politics of the
formidable state in the southeast of Nigeria,
Anambra has reached breaking point, and has
waned to nadir. They have witnessed the state
segue dramatically from bad to worse. They
have always been given a raw deal by their
state governments. They have been deceived,
bruised, starved, brutalized and tortured
mentally with political chicanery, lies, hoaxes
and false hopes. In tandem with that, they
have experienced an array of political
hooliganism, banditry and piracy. They have
never had it good. It has always been a
tortuous existence and political experience for
the Anambra people. All their state
governments- the past ones and the present
one have mastered ways to screw them in the
most delicate orifices.
Anambra state without a doubt can be said to
be one of the states in Nigeria with
infinitesimal state government emblem of
development. The state capital, Awka is a
sprawling igloo, a microcosm of the
ramshackle dome that is the state.
As a matter of fact, the Anambra people have
never depended on their state governments.
They have always using dexterity, ingenuity,
self-effort and mental craftsmanship developed
their various sections of interest in the state
the little way that they can. They have always
contributed monumentally to the
developmental crafting of the state. For
example, it is a fact that most families in
Anambra state do not depend on the state
government for portable water supply. They
dig bore-holes in their homes to cater for
their water needs. In fact, the Anambra people
have always been progressive in driving
development their own way. And to say the
least, there is minimal positive government
impact on their lives.
It is within the remit of these claims, that the
pulse of the Anambra people should be
checked. It is glaring to a wary observer that
the relationship between the people of
Anambra state and their state government
today is one of dissonance. The people of the
state have been in an abusive marriage in
which the frequency of rape is alarming. And
that has occasioned them to develop a strong
repugnance for their state government.
Again, the discordant situation is one of bad
divorce. The Anambra people are by a wide
margin of universal calibration detached from
their state government. It is therefore not
surprising, the growing indifference of the
Anambra people towards the gubernatorial
election billed to take place on November 16,
2013. To them it is a “lose-lose” situation. It is
a Scylla and Charbydis. They have always had it
bad.
The stature of the candidates for the election
and their motley of perceived deficiencies or
weaknesses deepen the Anambra people’s
apathy and disinterestedness. It is not
uncommon to hear Onitsha market traders call
them “Ndi Oshi” (thieves) who are in an
enterprise of primitive accumulation. They
want more, and are propelled by atavistic
greed. This is the common utterance of traders
who constitute the majority in the class of
commoners in Anambra state.
Inter alia, all the candidates seem to suffer
different assumed political defects which in the
eyes of some Anambra people are not
negligible or irrelevant to warrant sweeping
them under the carpet. Dr Chris Ngige’s
unfortunate political defect is his political
party, the APC which a good number of
Anambra people have construed to be a
locomotive for driving the Yoruba/Hausa
interests. This conception of the APC by some
Anambra people is ossified by the alleged
deportation of some Igbo “beggars” to
Anambra state by the Lagos state government
weeks ago. The APC is the chink in Ngige’s
armour the way it seems.
