Politics › Anambra Guber: APC Vs APGA? by FreeGlobe(op): 2:12pm On Aug 30, 2013
Since some paid agents of Peter obi on nairaland wants to hinge their campaign on on Ethnicity now we ask who/which is more Yoruba?

Chris Ngige
Party: APC
Title: Onwa

or

Willy Obiano
Party: APGA
Title: Otunmba Atayase of Ilemeso- Ekiti in Ekiti
State

cheesy cheesy
Anambra People shine your eyes. while we may not have forgiven Ngige (and if the election ends up being between them which I highly doubt), we must vote development and progress. Our biggest enemy here is Peter Obi

DerideGull: It is unfortunate some people think the state of affluence will determine the movement of people, thus, to stay home or explore. If such crass illogicality is remotely true, citizens of USA will not leave the shores of Old Glory to seek relevance somewhere else.
Americans would rather remain in their country than move elsewhere except expatriates or those going on vacay/Tourism. As a matter of fact most Americans think other continents are still in the stone age, Even Canada which is close by is greatly despised by Americans so I don't get you.

alexchiny: you hardly find any Anambrarian on Nairaland supporting Ngige! That should tell your slow arse something my guy.
As if lies could save you. You have been the only one jumping from thread to thread shouting APGA. I can't blame you, your gig is up.

alexchiny: And Edo state state is now "heaven" i guess.
far better governed than Anambra. Fashola is a Yoruba, Ngige is Igbo and has not denied his igboness like the igbokwes. Its like asking for another Theordore Orji in Abia because we want to soothe our egos. We will encourage more deportations in the future, Our people needs governors whose performance will make them not have the need to go to Lagos to search for 'better life'.
Politics › Re: Anambra 2013: Say No To Handing Over Anambra State To Fidelity Bank by FreeGlobe(f): 1:19pm On Aug 30, 2013
Peter Obi is a traitor, Peter Obi deports igbos too to Ebonyi just like the fool in Abia who sacks fellow igbos. We don't want Anambra to remain a pariah state while Peter Obi's business interest are progressing. Anambra has not recorded any massive project under Peter Obi for the past 8 years because the monies have remained as financial base for Fidelity Bank. Let's just pray other credible candidates emerge like Soludo or Ngige (whose party and party owners I detest and can't stand by the way) will have a field day. The civil servants are 100% against Peter Obi and I can guarantee you that Anambra people will choose the deportation saga over Peter Obi's continued entrapment of the state in his bank when the campaign propaganda starts to heat up.

You have been jumping from thread to thread shouting APGA this and that, nobody cares. The earlier the you accept APGA will not win, the better for you. Anambra people will not vote APGA!

You just called people Senseless and emotional wrecks!! and you are telling me what to say? what an irony. Anyway both you and other paid Obi's sycophants constitute less than 1% of Anambra voters who would vote out Obi and his stooge. wait till the campaign starts to heat up. Peter Obi has grounded Anambra for 8 years. We need fresh air.

Y will Ngige be recycling himself in Political Positions in Anambra State.
We need Newcomers not Oldies !
So you would prefer an Anambra State under Peter Obi's pockets or an Ngige tenure. Don't tell us you are foolish
Laughable...You mean all your elites that cut their teeth in Lagos, no? Keep living in denial! I don't even want to make the thread a tribal warfare...however, the jealousy most of you exude when it comes to Lagos is sickening. You abuse it and want the worst for it, yet you want to lay claim to the same city like your collective lives depend on it - confused lot!

How about get all your folks out of the city and see if won't prosper than it's now? Comparing Detroit to Lagos - two different cities with nothing in common shows how much of a twerp and rustic person you're.

I doubt you were educated beyond secondary sch level, and if you're, it must have been one of those mushrooms unis in the middle of nowhere.
My brother why do you resort to insults now that you have lost the argument. You are becoming too emotional and uncivil for my liking. I only consider the issues and facts. If you can focus on that then we can talk. cool
Politics › Re: Lagos Ranked 4th World’s Worst City by FreeGlobe(f): 6:42am On Aug 30, 2013
it shows you don't understand the basics of how strategic location for commerce and economics, and historical factors would always make certain cities attracts more investors than others. Even if Lagos is decentralised (something I hope happens soon to decongest the city), it would only rid the city off scroungers and attract a new wave of investors from diaspora. Hence why despite the decentralisation of everything in the UK, London is still the premier city in the UK. Same for New York city in America.

Lagos was Lagos before Nigeria, and the glory will nevermore depart it - that's a fact.

Also you keep citing your pseudo-livable cities, however, how come nobody wants to live in those cities? Heck, most of the people from there troop to Lagos - why?
You seem to be as dumb as a stone. Most igbo elites live in Enugu and Abuja. The ones who stay and have houses in Lagos are those that have business interests there because of the monopoly of opportunities now being addressed. There is nothing strategic about the Location of Lagos and historical facts that will make it not to go to sleep (Apologies Ohaneze Ndigbo) when igbos depart to access other favourable opportunities. Detroit was once a rich and bubbling city in America, today they are filing for bankruptcy thanks to the advent of Japanese cars and other factors. .
You're not making sense at all. If Abuja was considered a city worth mentioning, I'm sure it would have made the list. Abuja is just Abuja, a glorified pensioners' town.
if you like call Abuja a glorified whatever its still a million times better than the world biggest slum called Lagos. I have stayed in both places and should know. Heck both calabar and Enugu are even more liveable cities than Lagos, people just go to Lagos to make money and with the ongoing decentralization efforts of Lagos via new international airports and seaports, Lagos may become a ghost slum village in the future like Ibadan.

Only the foolish ones think they are more Anambra than anyone. No one has time for such ttivial talks. lets face the issues. Is it too much to ask for what peter obi did in 8 years other than the usual rural invisible thrash talk by these jobless sycophants. Peter obi is a fraud. Kill yourself if you like all you paid agents, I just placed a call home and the tone is Peter Obi and his gang must not win. Its only Nov 16 everybody will see the outcome

The Peter Obi sycophant who the Peter obi so called development is singularly visible to has come to troll the thread. There is no difference between Peter obi and Theodore orji in governance only that Peter obi is a crook and hires jobless sycophants to spread his propaganda while he loots. Lets see how Peter Obi/apga will win. whether its the civil servants he has dealt wickedly on that will vote him.

Politics › Re: Anambra Guber: Tukur’s Letter To Jega Stirs Controversy by FreeGlobe(op): 9:35pm On Aug 29, 2013
I have often repeated it that Anambra elections is a banana Peel that must be avoided by all PDP chairmen. Many PDP chairmen lost their jobs to Anambra elections while trying to get their share of the cake. Bamanga Turkur may be towing that path soon after surviving all his sack moves. After collecting huge bribes from the other illegal camp, he feels he can mess with Uba brothers, let watch as the drama unfolds. shameless old man.
Politics › Anambra Guber: Tukur’s Letter To Jega Stirs Controversy by FreeGlobe(op): 9:30pm On Aug 29, 2013
A letter from the national chairman of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Bamanga
Tukur, to the chairman of the Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof
Attahiru Jega, appears to have stirred a fresh
controversy as it concerns the party’s
governorship primary in Anambra State.
Tukur’s letter, dated May 8, 2013, is an
introductory correspondence to INEC notifying
the commission of certain changes the PDP
had effected and contains Ejike Oguebego as
the Anambra State chairman of the party.
Meanwhile, the governorship primary of the
PDP in Anambra State had produced two
candidates, Andy Uba and Tony Nwoye, in two
separate exercises conducted by two factions.
While Uba emerged victorious at the primary
conducted by the INEC-backed Oguebego-led
faction, Nwoye was elected by the Ken
Emeakayi-led faction that has the support of
the national leadership of the PDP. The Tukur-
led National Working Committee (NWC) of the
party has already confirmed Nwoye as the
governorship candidate of the PDP.
But Tukur’s letter, entitled ‘Forwarding New
Developments in the Composition of National
Executive Committee (NEC) of Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) reads as follows:
“In view of some important developments that
led to changes in the executive officers of our
party, I write to forward to you the list of our
National Executive Committee (NEC) members,
as attached, for your kind perusal and
guidance.”
The letter, personally signed by Tukur ,
LEADERSHIP gathered, was part of the evidence
Oguebego provided as proof before the Federal
High Court in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, when
he approached the court to stop the Emeakayi
faction of the PDP from presenting Nwoye as
the governorship candidate of the party.
I want to see the letter – Tukur’ aide
But Tukur’s media assistant, Oliva Opala, when
asked about his principal’s response, said it
was difficult for him to comment on the said
letter since he did not have the opportunity to
see the document.
He said, “For now, all I can tell you is that I
cannot make a categorical statement or
comment on that because the document you
are talking about is not in my possession,
neither is it available for me to sight; if only
you can do us a favour by bringing the letter
to us so that we can know whether or not such
a correspondence emanated from the national
chairman of the PDP”.
Court orders INEC, PDP to accept Andy Uba
Meanwhile, the Federal High Court in Port
Harcourt has ordered both the PDP and INEC
to disregard the results of the ward and state
congresses conducted by the Emeakayi-led
faction of the party, and directed INEC and
PDP to accept the candidacy of Dr Andy Uba.
In the suit instituted by Oguebego and Gilbert
Okoye (as plaintiffs) in which they listed the
PDP and INEC as first and second defendants
respectively, Justice Hyeladzira Nganjiwa
ordered as follows:
“That the 1st and 2nd Defendants (PDP and
INEC) are to accept the results that emerged
from plaintiffs’ ward and state congresses,
pending the hearing and determination of the
Motion on Notice for Interlocutory Injunction
to set aside the interim order
“That the 1st and 2nd Defendants are hereby
restrained from accepting the wards and state
congresses results from Ken Emeakayi-led PDP
Executive from Anambra State pending the
hearing and determination of the motion for
interlocutory injunction and the motion to set
aside the interim order made on the August 6,
2013.”
The case has been adjourned till Friday for
ruling on the earlier order the court made on
August 6, 2013.
Uba shuns PDP as Nwoye gets certificate of
return
The national leadership of the PDP yesterday
handed its certificate of return for the
Anambra governorship election to Nwoye just
as Senator Uba did not appear before the
party as ordered on Tuesday.
Ubah was invited alongside his brother - Chris,
Oguebego, Chief Benji Udeozor, Mrs. Tonia
Nwankwu, but none of them showed up for
the parley.
Speaking with journalists after receiving the
certificate of return from the national
chairman of the party, Nwoye described his
emergence as an act of God.
He, further, said that INEC cannot stop him
from contesting the election, noting that “it is
the national chairman of the party and
secretary that present a party’s candidate for
an election. Once a party presents a candidate,
INEC cannot object to it.”

ngige's legacy is still there for all to see. nobody in his right senses will ever accuse ngige of non-performance in office. ngige also never deported other igbo from anambra state. lets keep focus please.
the only "crime" ngige committed was to keep mute over the deportation issue
that can never equate peter obis hijacking of our political vehicle for his selfish aims.

if ngige cannot qualify for a cup of palm wine in igboland, then peter obi and his crony cannot even be given mere handshake in the igbo nation, talk less of sharing palm wine!
igbo people met and consulted to unite under APGA and a certain candidate; peter obi thrashed all that and imposed his crony. today we have no political base in nigeria.

Ngige may have been blacklisted due to the deportation saga but if we are to choose between Ngige and Peter Obi/his stooge then Anambra must embrace Ngige with open arms. While we can overlook the deportation saga and build up our states, we cannot overlook the imprisonment of Anambra funds, future and development in Fidelity bank for a continued 4 years, the deportation will continue if we do so. At this point the worst candidate for this election is better than the Obi's stooge and fraudster/cultist Tony Nwoye.
