Politics › Re: Gov Peter Obi Is A Total Failure And A Disgrace Says by FreeGlobe(f): 9:30am On Sep 14, 2013
asha 80: if that is the case(as per him supporting uba andy before) then i am rest assured the kind of igwe he is.
it seems like you hate Andy Uba more than the devil himself and I don't know why, maybe personal since its nothing we know of publicly but Andy Ubah will be a million times better governor than Peter obi any day. He is currently a Senator and not doing badly, he is the best performing Senator in Anambra. The igwe is right, that is why Peter obi is trying to save face by building the agulu lake hotel at the tail end of his tenure. He was busy building his sabmiller and stuffing cash in his fidelity bank all through

simpleseyi: Yorubas were the main opposition during Obasanjo's rule . It seems you were not born then because there are many toddlers on Nairaland; if not you will remember that Tinubu fought Obasanjo to a stand still, you should also recall that Yorubas lead several protests against the Obasanjo's unfortunate government. We did not want Obasanjo then and we never voted for him. Obasanjo got to power through South-East, South-South and North's vote. Yorubas voted for Chief Olu Falae, Obasanjo even lost in the polling booth opposite his house. We did not want Obasanjo then because we knew that he was/is a nonentity just as Jonathan and Dame Sheppopotamus are another set of nonentities.
You people are just deluding yourselves in the name of deceiving others. Fact is yorubas are tribalistically deceitful. The yorubas massively voted Obasanjo in his 2nd tenure after earlier rejecting him for Olu Falae during his first outing the same way they didn't vote Abiola initially but are now taking credit for his failed bid. While Igbos were drumming against obasanjo's third therm bid with the north (thanks to Atiku and Ken Nnamani), the yorubas again were loudly silent. what a people.

Controversy: Who is Igwe Agulu to start with? Nwanne, Anambra has grow pass the politics of igwe and chiefs, give that Igwe 1 million tomorrow he ll say another thing. We need progressive mind, we have outgrown the politics of road taring, we need industries Obi have set the tone with sabmilar and others
what are the others? Sabmiller, a beer factory owned by Peter obi? You see nothing wrong with a governor losing support right in his town?

jbaur24: Government house, Governors lodge and House of Assembly. The site has been mapped out at the newly established Greenwood City- Awka
Yeah, this would help in centralizing governance and giving awka a facelift considering govt machinery is scattered over the place, the present govt house is an eyesore with governors lodge in far away amawbia. Peter Obi knew these things are needful but now waking up at the tail end of his dormant administration, I hope he completes payments for all these contracts and not litter the state with abandoned projects

Politics › Re: The Fashola Vs Akpabio Thread. by FreeGlobe(f): 6:21am On Sep 14, 2013
rooftech: this is madness, how on earth can dreams from cokeland be converted to reality, how can any sane person compare fashola to akpabio.who does not know the later is a product of media hype.the ambulance in the pics was bought by the previous regime.there is no hospital owned by state government in uyo federal constituency, the pychiatric school does not exist again as it had been deaccredited.aks with less than 5mil people have collected over, 2trillion in both federal allocation and internally generated funds. in education sector its a disaster the five oldest secondary schools are nothing to write home about.most of the schools are universal basic education and local govt joint account projects.
The only media hype product I see here is Fashola who has done nothing except commissioning private sector projects and ppp's and taking credit for them. Fashola is easily the worst performing governor in Nigeria without being able to account for what he has done with the states over 30 billion naira monthly IGR. Comparing Akpabio who is building akwa ibom from scratch to Fashola is like comparing the difference between heaven and earth. Fashola is a fraud.

software man: This is the most bare faced lie . Yorubas criticised Obasanjo more than any other tribe in nigeria. This is easily verifiable, but then that is only useful for anyone interested in the truth.
You can't deceive us Mr man. Yorubas only only hated obasanjo because he was not their choice initially. falae was their choice. How many times did yorubas criticize obj's performance the way they are doing GEJ even though Jonathan has performed better. last I checked yoruba sons including FFK and Okupe were Obj's praise singers. As worse as Tinubu's tenure was why don't yorubas criticize him? bigoted tribe

If Obi can deliver that 3 arms zone then he may have left a lasting legacy and I mean a standard 3 arms zone and massive 3 arms zone and not the usual Peter obi 1 naira projects

jenbost: I am not from south west but it is very important to know that the people are highly sophisticated. their ideology is good for our nascent democracy. GEF would not have been the president without the support of this tribe but he disappointed them in the area of good governance and that's why they are against him. if the president change overleaf, Yoruba will be the first to sing his praise song.
Absolute nonsense, all the yorubas championing anti Jonathan campaign are totally corrupt and failed leaders. If they are sincere as you said why did they keep shut during obasanjo's 8 years

Comparing Fashola and Akpabio is like comparing the distance between heaven and earth. Fashola is a fraud. Remove private sector projects and ppp's commissioned by Fashola and Raji Fashola is Nigeria's worst governor. smh

Politics › Dokubo, Fasehun, Uwazurike, Al-mustapha, Others Meet In Anambra by FreeGlobe(op):
Leaders of major ethnic militia group across the country yesterday met in Awka, Anambra State
capital.
Those who met included the leaders of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujaheed Asari-Dokubo; Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazurike, and the leader Yoruba ethnic militia, Odua Peoples Congress (OPC), Chief Fred Fasehun.
Also at the meeting were the former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha and Abacha’s first son, Mohammed.
Though the venue and details of the proceedings in the meeting were not disclosed to newsmen, the group later stormed the palace of the traditional ruler of the Nri Kingdom, His Majesty Eze Obidiegwu Onyesoh (Nrienwelana II) in Anaocha Local Government
Area.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Al-Mustapha told the traditional ruler that they were committed to strengthening the country’s democracy, building social bridges across the country and promoting peace, harmony, peace and security.
He pledged that they are charting an new course that will erase all manner of disaffection that has afflicted the nation.
According to Mustapha, “We understand the need, at this point in time on the journey of our democratic history, to build a bridge that will be seen to create passage for our younger generation across Nigeria for peace, harmony
and security.
“We shall be meeting, all of us for the first time in Nigeria, where in all the six (geo-political) zones and the leaders of all the associations, youth bodies and movements will come together to chart a course that will support, promote peace, unity and harmony, where disaffection will be a thing of the past.
“We are committed to this Your Majesty. We listen to you with keen interest, with respect; we guarantee and we assure you that you advice is the rail line that our train is moving on”, Al-Mustapha pledged.
While welcoming his guests, Eze Onyesoh pleaded for forgiveness and reconciliation among all aggrieved components of the nation.
The traditional ruler stated that it was clear that many leaders of ethnic nationalities had been rough-handled by the federal authorities because of their crusade for emancipation and fair treatment of their people. He, however, said that for the country to move forward, both the federal government and the leaders of the various ethnic nationalities should embrace forgiveness and reconciliation.”
He particularly urged the various militia groups to emulate the non-violent approach adopted by the Uwazurike-led MASSOB in carrying out their agitations, saying it was the same non-violent approach that most world renowned emancipators like Nelson Mandela, Mahatma
Ghandi, etc, employed.

Yorubas should speak for themselves but as long as igbo 45% votes in Lagos is concerned NO MORE MUSLIM LAGOS governor!! and we are still negotiating APC's continued running of Lagos, since we learnt its FG's compensation to Tinubu the yoruba leader.
