what remarkable thing has been achieved in Lagos since FG left? bunch of ingrates
Politics › Re: Only Lagos Can Survive Without Oil – Fashola by FreeGlobe(f): 9:21am On Jan 20, 2013
Hardfact: Bros, aribisala0 has got a lot of truth in what in he's saying, unlike what the likes of Eko ile are claiming. The location of Lagos which is strategic was one of the major/primary catalysts, and upon it the colonial masters kickstarted Lagos' success, other factors like Fed Cap status later came and added to that. That's not hard to see.
what of Abuja? that's what he asked. Lagos was moving like another Ibadan before FG and oil money came.

Politics › Re: Fashola: Lagos Attained 89% Budget Performance In 2012 by FreeGlobe(f): 8:24am On Jan 20, 2013
geeez: Which your tracking? On which excel sheet or which software do you use? What information do you have? Do you even know what budget tracking means? This is the height of idiotism and retardation. Someone that cant put his life on track or manage a hundred thousand bucks wants to measure the performance of a multibillion Naira budget. Better go track your non-performing heebo governors and stop taking antiretrovirals for the Yoruba man's HIV.
I don't need to track my 'non-performing heebo governors' because they don't give me a hard time dishing out false stories everyday. If you can't tell me how fashola tracked his budget performance why do you want me to disclose mine. Anyway you are the dullard that compared running a state to companies. Keep growing fat on Fashola lies and schizophrenia
Politics › Re: Fashola: Lagos Attained 89% Budget Performance In 2012 by FreeGlobe(f): 7:53am On Jan 20, 2013
Another day another Fashola gaffe. You can tell that to the marines or your ACN minions. Fashola is ill educated. Always opening his mouth to say what he can't back up with facts. somebody get this man a publicist. Am tired of a governor talking like an illiterate. where did he get the 89% budget performance figure from? is it from Tinubu's account? where are the government owned projects from the Capital expenditure? Nonsense
Goodluck Agbaya Jonathan in collaboration with the Governors of the Niger-Delta states have been in the fore-front of impoverishing the people of this oil-rich region.

The visionless leadership of the Niger-Delta governors and leaders both at state and federal level has been the bane of the development of the region.
I thought you are Niger Deltan or is Delta state not Niger Delta again. You are a fraud.

I believe the monies are shared in one way or the other with the people with the politicians pocketing the lion share.I used to stay in PH and there almost everybody depends on funds coming from govt house in form or the other especially during odili's time! Ikwerre people are particularly lazy and only interested in sharing money and exchanging lands.

Eko Ile: This is the usual scenario. You see, it's our future and destiny to keep moving forward and progressing and your future and destiny is to keep chasing us around with your pessimism, anger, sorry and sadness because the hell hole you came from is descending 50 years back. This is what sad people like you do.
but you stated the metro rail was initiated in the 70s. And you still want me to share optimism. lol. More like you and your propaganda life. Once again, please leave Lagos alone and talk about your backward state also managed by Tinubu.
Politics › Re: Is Lagos State Overrated By Lagosians? by FreeGlobe(f): 8:04am On Jan 19, 2013
Eko Ile: According to village olodo..

I wonder what was going on in your village when Lagosians were dabbling into metro rails..

Don't tell me, I know. The only mode of transportation in your village was pammy bicycle... lmao.

You people don suffer I swear..
I hope they complete the metro rail finally one day in year 2070. I don't know there will be a lot of struggling to do as you stated. Pele o. The Lord is your strength. Tell Fashola to take heart. Heck, Tinubu is doing business. cheesy
Politics › Re: Is Lagos State Overrated By Lagosians? by FreeGlobe(f): 7:53am On Jan 19, 2013
Eko Ile: You are wrong. Lagos was booming as the industrial heart of Nigeria before independence and before your federal government made it the federal capital. Your federal government did not build our industrial estates, in fact they dragged us back and slow down our progress.

The metro rail we are struggling to finish now in 2013 was conceived and initiated by Lagosians in the 70s, your federal government derailed it because of tribalism and jealousy. The people of Lagos state lost $77 million dollars because of your useless federal government.

But guess what, we didn't give up, without your useless federal government and your yeye oil money, it's finally here.
shiiiiiitt!!! Lies on Lies. Thrash worthy!
Politics › Re: Is Lagos State Overrated By Lagosians? by FreeGlobe(f): 7:49am On Jan 19, 2013
Eko Ile: Ode, what's there not to be proud of in Ibadan? I'm proud of Ibadan, I love Ibadan and Ibadan remains the home of the first skyscraper in Nigeria, the first modern stadium in Africa. That's a lot to be proud of, unlike you with no sense of belonging..

Now, what part of your stone age hell hole are you proud of? I know you are very shamed to talk about your miserable and backward kidnapping kingdom, but your obsession with other people's joy and happiness is not going to make your sadness and sorrow go away, when you wake up tomorrow, it's still going to be the same miserable stone age village...

Suxs to be you and your miserable life and future..
not when you are obsessed and possesed with Lagos. Not when you live a daily life trying to fuel the Fashola propaganda here. I know how painful it is to always see your thief fashola propaganda get deflated these days. Leave Lagos alone and face the primitive, virgin cave you came from. I hope the Ibadan first stadium in Africa is still in existence today and the two storey sky scraper has not been marked for demolition. That's enough to be proud for. grin
Politics › Re: Is Lagos State Overrated By Lagosians? by FreeGlobe(f): 7:22am On Jan 19, 2013
Eko Ile: Your own problem is self hate. You have no place to call your own, talk less to be proud of. Is it not funny that you have so much to say about other people, but nothing to say about the backward bore hole commissioning hell hole you came from? The only viable economy you and your people know and are used to is the kidnapping economy...smh..

Like I said, I feel your pain.. ndo.
Are you from Lagos? Why is every Yoruba man trying to claim Lagos that belongs to every Nigerian? Why are you not proud of Awolowo ingenuity in Ibadan. cheesy Atleast where I come from we have produced industrial hubs and internationally acclaimed commercial cities without a single FG intervention, without sabotaging all oil companies to build offices where they don't operate. Leave Lagos alone, claim your cave state. Sorry!

When will you quit this your tales by moonlight stories. You are saying that FG derailed Lagos rail because of tribalism and jealousy while the whole Lagos was built on Yoruba tribalism. Thank God you admit you are struggling with your everlasting rail project which adds to the fact that Lagos is not independent, Lagos needs handouts from FG for projects. We have seen the Ibadan you built on your own.. Lol. Is it some genius that you were developing Lagos well before FG took over while the South West capital Ibadan is a big mess. lol.
Politics › Re: Is Lagos State Overrated By Lagosians? by FreeGlobe(f): 1:50am On Jan 19, 2013
Afam4eva: It actually depends on what you term development to be. Lagos beats Abuja using a lot of the indices.
I really don't get you. What is your own definition of development? Lagos is just more populated that's all and that's because a lot of people can't afford Abuja. I bet with that your indices Lagos will be more developed than New York. Lol. Abuja and Lagos are no match in development, Lagos is a slum.
Lagos State is a WELL-MANAGED State... That's no speculation.

Whether it's number 1, 2 , 3 or 4 is debatable.

Can I say the same for Delta State (Led by the Certified Thief - Uduaghan)? No!!
well managed by Tinubu? This ACN handbag when will you get tired with famzing ACN. And the worst is when you lie you are from Delta. You Yoruba boy. or are you itsekiri. Take Delta out of your mouth and face your SW states.

Afam4eva: Lagos is by far the most developed city in Nigeria, so there's no exaggeration there. maybe you're talking about the Fashola hype.
Lagos is not more developed than Abuja. Get your facts right
Politics › Re: Only Lagos Can Survive Without Oil – Fashola by FreeGlobe(f): 4:59pm On Jan 18, 2013
AjanleKoko: Haba. You have missed out something here.
Are there functioning international airports also in those states? Were those states holding a significant federal presence post-independence?

I don't know if the ports in Calabar and Delta are even functioning. But the Onne terminal is used only by the oil companies, because the tariffs are very expensive, compared to Apapa and Tin Can. Why would MTN ship telecom equipment to Onne when it can do it far more easily and cheaper in Lagos?
its the same thing am saying. The FG has not invested as much in those ports as it has done in Lagos. This adds to the high costs there. The international airport too was FG project. Am saying if FG invests in Calabar for instance as it has done in Lagos, Lagos will become redundant because traders in the east will prefer the calabar port for proximity. All am saying in essence is Lagos = fg
Politics › Re: Only Lagos Can Survive Without Oil – Fashola by FreeGlobe(f): 4:42pm On Jan 18, 2013
Wallie: The primary reason Lagos is what it is today is due to its strategic location. Even if Lagos never became the capital, it would still be a bustling state, albeit a less developed one. Here’s why:

1. Businesses need access to goods. (They get it through the ports in Lagos.)

2. The businesses even if located a 1000 miles inland from Lagos will need an office or storage facility in Lagos. – (Commercial real estate goes up in price due to demand creating wealth. Transportation sector also takes off because the goods have to be delivered somewhere)

3. The businesses will need tax paying workers. – (People flock to Lagos because of availability of jobs creating more demand for real estate and more importantly, other consumables)

4. Resellers in other areas without access to the ports need goods at a cheaper price. (It will be cheaper to buy the goods in Lagos at wholesale because you can cut out the middleman and perhaps save on transportation costs. More people flocking to Lagos)

5. Lagos now has gluttony of able bodied workers which will result in more companies opening offices in Lagos because that’s where the skill and pulse of the market is.

6. A virtuous circle of development is bound to result unless the government of the state inhibits it or fail to harness it.
amazing your posts was centred on ports. Do you realize there are ports facilities in calabar, rivers and Delta and considerating the fact that 80 percent of ports users in the country are easterners, if all the ports were given a level playing field, the Lagos port will not be functional and the other factors you listed will not be.

babapupa: I still don't know how the federal governemt develop Lagos. They saw a developed place labeled it their federal capital. The only only federal presence with all their stay in Lagos was 2 crumbling bridges that they are too useless to maintain , their pot hole riddled roads that they are also to useless to maintain and the crumbling and sinking national theater..

So, is this what you people mean when you say oil money developed Lagos..? what a load of rubbish...
so who 'developed' Lagos? Don't even mention cocoa in your response

emmatok: Just shut it.
Was oil use to develop the Western region.NO
Lagos has been before Nigeria Almagamation.

Ibadan was once the best city in Nigeria, but it was destroy and abandoned by military regimes.

Do you know the sorry state of Lagos before Fashola came in.
lol.. which western region is developed? hahahahahahahahahahaha *falls off seat*
Politics › Re: Only Lagos Can Survive Without Oil – Fashola by FreeGlobe(f): 3:39pm On Jan 18, 2013
Afam4eva: So, why didn't the same western Region develop Ado-Ekiti and Ijebu-Ode to be as developed as Ikeji? My point is, the stage had already been set by the federal government, so even if Lagos mainland had been given to the Somalia government, it would have still been developed. Those places are an offshoot of the Island and that's why they're not as developed or as planned as the Island.
You should rather have asked him about ibadan. People forget Ibadan was the capital of the western region and not Lagos. what is Ibadan today? This pretty much answers the question. For these Yoruba folks to now claim Lagos as their handwork is hilarious. Lagos was built on oil money, runs on oil money and will collaspe without it. let fashola keep talking like a drunk.
