Tomorrow, the city of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, will go agog as the  Chief Executive Officer of Exquisito confectioneries, Adeola Layade, holds the first ever bread exhibition fair in the history of Nigeria.
The fair, tagged “THE BREAD CONNOISSEURS”, will host bread and its bakers from all over the world, in the Oshuntokun area of Bodija, Ibadan.
Layade said the purpose of the bread festival is to make bread eating in the country more interesting, considering it is a staple food in Nigeria, and to promote the country’s tourism industry to the world.
“Bread cuts across all tribe, culture and religion. The fair is organised to show the different variety of bread, to make bread eating more interesting, promote healthy bread, and to create ideas and innovation for the bread industry which means more job opportunities, among others,” she said, while explaining why she organised the huge event.
Alayande said the N2.5 million fair will be opened freely to all participants in the exhibition, saying that the purpose of the exhibition “is also to brand Nigeria.”
