If a man can't help his wife when she is preg who else can he help? Na wa oooooo, but in some case if the man is so busy as a result of the nature of his profession, then they should employ a helper, and i think the man should bear the cost, coz it's his primary duty helping her in that condition, |

I don't see anything wrong in it, as long as the man permit, why not also ask if it's right for a married to roll out. |

frosbel: Is it Peckham, or Brixton or should we say Hull, that despite their poor reputation boast of better infrastructure and ammenities than the best parts of Abuja.
Abeg we all love our country so lets like you said ' not over flog this issue ' but lets have mutual respect for both NINs and NIDs.
Bragging about ones status in the midst of abject misery and poverty is not a positive to be congratulated on, rather is depicts the sorry state of Nigeria as a country. Exactly n na the same ppl dey see wo be local champion. From 5yrds of lace for 100k, ibo traders who hangtheir pants on their weist to making mad money. ya all can see what kind of problems most of em got. May God help Nigeria. |

BlueDiva: @frosbel,
Have you seen pics of UK slums? Don't over flog it, each side has its problems.
In all seriousness, what some of these aboki that have tons of tankers make in a day. . .left to be imagined. Is it the cattle owners, the textile woman at Teduosho (some women buy 5yrds of lace for 100k)? Even those Ibo traders that put their trousers on their waist.
Some people with little education make mad money in Naija. Far more than some of us will dream of. MY God, i don't need mad money. |

In Chevron, you have what they call Airport Asst. Their job is to book your flight and help you carry luggage and other small logistics. They give the positions to white boys and pay them hell. That is neo-colonialism, what are people will easily do and do better.

ol'boy relax, just like BlueDiva said each to his own. I know both sides of the debate, yes Nigeria offers me certain opportunities that I won't get in the Uk, Ireland or mainland Europe. I spend more time in Nigeria now, yes I deal with all the ills that Nigeria offers but when Nigerians living in far of countries start screaming only about bad roads, nepa etc you know something is up. BlueDiva: My advice,
If your village sponsored you abroad, stay put. If you went through Libya and other land route, stay put. If your father sold his house to send you out, stay put. If you borrowed money to travel, stay put. If you went as an asylum seeker, stay put. If you won the visa lottery, stay put. If you have no decent education stay put. If marriage took you there, stay pu
All others, come home.!!! Blind noise. |

honeric01: so you guys want me to come and boast of what i have done to people around me or to my environment abi? well sorry to disappoint 3 of you, i am not ready to do that (i did that not quite long on one of these Nigerian Division thread). I practised what i preach because i am not here insulting those abroad and those at home, i am only being neutral here and giving advises to whoever needs it. you don't have to be abroad to become sucessful (though you have more opp overthere) but everyone can't be rich or be comfortable because we still have poor folks all over uk/us and other developed countries. what you need is to believe in your God, work on your self, use your brain, carry people along, ask question, have an open mind and if you're destined to be rich or comfortable, it will surely happen.'
I don't have time for useless debate about who's jealous or who's not jealous, about who lives the best life and who doesn't, you don't know me, you don't feed me, whatever happens to your life does not in any way affect me vice versa so why should i be jealous of an imaginary being?
Now, let me throw back your questions to 3 of you, what have you done to Nigeria and Nigerians? (not your family members oo).
I am where i am now by God's grace only and not by what the government provided for me or what anyone provided for me and i know those around me who are comfortable today are due to God's grace and their hardwork.
If you are not hardworking, no matter where you're, you'd remain poor and starve except you are expecting the government of wherever you are to feed you (handout for those abroad and nothing for those at home). U 're not here for stupid debates, but at the same time u trying to raise up a very sensitive topic from this one, all your arugements are so baseless. and hence for i 'll ignore you m,i know ppl like you. |

I'm proud i took that bold steps at that tender age penetrating these immigrations that looked like the eyes of the neddle, to be here, today, i'm proud to be a German citizen and still partly a Nigerian. My family members and i also enjoys one of the best healthcare in the world if not the best, i don't need a to have a 10 duplex in VI or a bulletproof jeep or a keeping 4 cell phones i cant operate in my pockests, or disturbing my neighbours with the noise of my generating set to know i got a first class life. the foundations of my property an social security are strong( Prove me wrong if u doubt me) ppls in Naija are so proud to have a generating set . So taking a bold step leaving that place where the hope of those without the proper connections is as good as death does not make me a coward but a warrior. I visted some embassies in Lagos, the queup is like waiting in the gates of heaven, what u even see at the airport speaks for itself. so seeing an opportunity and making a proper use of it is now beeing a coward. i guess thats the jealousy we 're still talking about. |

Ujujoan: The poster asked a question! You guys said it was because we were jealous! And while I tried to think about how that made any sense, someone said she earned more than our parents! I dont consider that an insult because I earn more than my parents, but I thought you guys need to realize that we are not all paupers down here!
I sleep with my eyes wide open at night, I fear for my life, but I dont want to beleive that you guys dont know that crime exists everywhere! The high rate is peculiar to Nigeria, but that's not just my responsibility to correct, it's yours too. And if you think living abroad exepmts you of that, then you must be joking!
More than any other person, I know our country is in dire need of reforms, and I understand the level of rot in the economy. But I'm not taking the coward's way out like you guys did and I think that's something to be proud of!
But if your take home is very robust, and u 're not jealous, its not a reason defending the other millions who actually are, u can easily see that even on this thread. so what are we talking about? |

Ujujoan: Oh, I thought we were all paupers down here!
But not even 1% of the Naija population gets 1% of what these experts are getting. don't only consider the lilttle good fraction of it. what do you call a developing country as you said? Few ppl extremenly rich while the other over 90% lives on less than 1$ a day? and u said they 're all developing? |

Chrisbenogor: Are very simple ni, because they feel that after washing dead bodies and getting paid peanuts they are all better than the people here in naija. They all carry this complex that only them can see the problems of Nigeria the rest of us here are dumb and should pick up guns and fight so that they can come back and retire after we have laboured for them. They are there for fat salaries and dont me their companies dont take care of their trip expences during their regular home visits. who wouldn't like working in Nigeria on a robust salary? |
