The Independent National Electoral Commission (lNEC) on Monday lifted the ban on political parties not to campaign after it postponed the election by one week.

INEC, at the end of its management meeting in Abuja said all campaigns for the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections would end on Thursday.

A statement issued by INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voters Education Committee, Festus Okoye said media organisations were also free to receive adverts, news stories, broadcast materials and the rest till midnight of Thursday.

Okoye said the decision to lift the ban on campaign was arrived at after intensive consultations with political parties
