If I should ask what exactly are you studying right now in university? Microbiology, aquacultures and fisheries, or computer science?
Olatemmanuel01:
I've started this process already before receiving admission, so I've spent a lot of money for me to say I want to have a change of plan which is to opt in for a master program, thereby having to forfeit all my initial payment and most importantly my plans.
I just received admission this year and i am studying aquacultures and fisheries. can i relate it to microbiology which i intend to go study in US?
Wont it look somehow to the consular seeing i am studying a different course here and I want to go study another course oversee?

Try asking your school for an extension. Give them a good reason why. Then ask God for His favor and mercy. Nothing is impossible with Him.

Hey, I can assure I have seen people get their visa approved between 2019-2021 for visas to study in the US with your situation and that of the original posts. I wouldn't really focus what people are saying can't happen for you. Just make sure you've prepared every documents and the answers you'd give. Then God will handle the rest. You're not the first in this situation neither will you be the last.

Are you booking for an interview before the I-20 arrives or will you wait for the I-20 first? Congrats on the additional funding.
Oluh:
Yes thanks! I’m actually to send my financial statement together with my passport for my is-20 to be sent. It’s actually so messed up because my passport expired and it might be up to a week before I get a new one because of NIN issues. I hope I meet up on time. Is-20 takes more than one week to be delivered. That scares me too.

Well I had no idea what I wanted to major in. It definitely had nothing to do with my grades( Had lots of As and a couple of Bs) I'm just currently unsure of what exactly I want to spend the four years of my college studying. My reason for undeclared was to explore my options. I just want to find the right words to explain it to the VO.
However I do have a course in mind, don't want to restrict myself until I'm sure.
chigozieduru:
Hmm curious why did you apply for an uncleared major in the first place? You are the best person to know what the benefit of a particular course would be and why you selected it. What would the course do for you in the long run? If you were given liberal arts and science because of grade/academic deficit from high school you can explain to the VO and mention that once you fulfill the school's requirement you'd be able to declare a major. The course structure and contents should be on the school website so peruse that.
