Happy new year guys! Last time I was here, I had a failed cycle after using embryo glue, intralipids, acupuncture and all. I rested a little because we needed to recuperate from the millions that went down. Also travelling back and forth from the US was a struggle. Taking several days off work, and losing both time and money. We decided to try surrogacy. Grabbo hospital Abuja advised we look for a surrogacy agency. We did and went with Chris World surrogacy (someone here introduced me to them). To the glory of God…I am a mother of twin girls who are 1 year old now ( 1st try…2 surrogates = negative , 2nd try …. 2 surrogates positive). One of our surrogates lost her pregnancy after 4/5 weeks ( she was carrying one). The twins stayed, though they came early but are very healthy. This year, we are back to Grabbo for gender selection for a boy. Myself and two surrogates as advised by the agency. Testing is in a few days. Hoping for the best. IVF has no best hospital, you would have to pray, do research and ultimately do what works for you. Baby dust to us all. Plus the agency is affordable. Gender selection was not affordable and I promised not to do it again (about 12 million Naira for two donors). If you are like me and cannot afford to travel back and forth, you may consider surrogacy. My girls have their US passport valid for 5 years. The agency gave us all we needed for the embassy, also Grabbo hospital gave us all we needed too. All documents was accepted at the US consulate in Abuja one time. That’s why we have the liver to try again. So help me God.

I hope this info sets someone free or helps someone make a decision. Parental order is arranged by agency. I just watched a video on tiktok with a lady going back and forth to court to get parental order. I did not go through a single stress for that.

Depending on the clinic you are using. For Primecare I noticed they have better results with frozen embies. The clinic I used frozen never worked for me even with surrogate so it depends.

It may mean you have some bacterial infection. The ++++ (plus signs) means that those medication can be used the kill the bacteria…..The Lab might also need to refer you to a hospital/doctor for prescription.

Glad he said a bit better as it’s on individual basis and every woman,s journey is different.

For women that had say hyper stimulation,heavy bleeding after collection or such complications the body needs some days to recover hence some Drs would suggest frozen.

A minus is that in FET there is the posibility your eggs might not survive the thawing process.

I understand too well the headache of travelling across continents and tickets as i had most of my treatments in Nigeria but weight the sacrifice and the reward involved it’s worth it…Hopes this helps and good luck.

Hi everyone, I am about to go for my 3rd IVF. I was told by the doctor that frozen embryo transfer is a bit better than fresh transfer. I am so confused right now because I don’t want to travel to Nigeria two times in two months. The journey is far and the tickets are so expensive. I feel stressed thinking about going twice with three weeks interval. Does anyone know anything about frozen embryo transfer? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

I don’t know how to start a new post so I am replying my initial post. So I did my blood test today (day 10/11) and it was negative. Although I had done a urine test on day 6 or so which was negative also. Well I don’t know o….doctor says there is nothing more she can do in addition. Says we should continue trying and praying. I can be coming to naija every 3 months o. I feel like I live here already. I Wana use this September to think. I used donor egg btw. Wish the rest of us baby dust…..God’s best guys.

He was really nice. I’m just getting the intralipid drip right now. I pray it works. I did, prednisone, estradiol, embryo glue, acupuncture, intralipids. I will add aspirin and cyclogest (injection and supp. tonight. I want to make sure I try all within my capacity. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and openness. I will be back in two weeks with bfp. Amen!!!!!
