Technology MarketBlame African Government When You See These Ingenuity Daily And Nothing Happens by Frican(op): 12:54pm On Nov 02, 2015
I read this thread and saw the videos of a few Africans doing great. Funny enough, they get little attention or mention afterwards. Should Africans be blamed for non performance or our leaders? If na Africa from oyinbo land then we go fill the media with praises, what of Africans in Africa?

This site may have a plan, suggest to them how we can grow.

"It brings to mind the question of how Africa will evolve without serious investments in where her strength lies-her people. We in Africa wants to hear from you on how best to encourage our home made and in the long run become major contributors in the world economy by exporting made in Africa."~ http://weinafrica.com/2015/11/video-ingenuity-by-africans-and-the-quest-to-know-how-governments-of-african-countries-can-encourage-ingenuity-by-their-own/

CultureMy Tribe ~nonso Nwankwo... Please Share Your Opinion About Ur Tribe Too.. by Frican(op): 8:44am On Sep 06, 2015
This is specifically written by a Nigeria regarding the major 3 tribes... It is very hilarious that I decided to share... What our tribe says about us and the rest of the people within the same nation makes people even wonder is Nigeria is truly a country. I will post bits of these and want you to share your. Read all precise here:
http://weinafrica.com/2015/09/my-tribe-by-nonso-nwankwo/

CAUTION: This is a prose

"I love my brothers, oh yes, I will appoint all my brothers for they are the most competent, trusted, agile minds available. Why should that even bother you, after all we are one Nigeria, does it matter who leads; doesn’t Eze Sylvester Dimunah and Oba Akiolu pray to Allah, a religion that is ascribed to my kinsmen."~Ist Tribe

"Call me scared all you want, the rat has nothing on me. I bite you while you sleep and blow the breeze to help you sleep even better. I might scream, and make the loudest noise, but ejowo ejowo, I don’t want to make any trouble."~2nd Tribe

"Haven’t you heard them say, anywhere you go and you don’t find my tribe, you should never remain there. Didn’t you read in history books that my tribe sold ice to the Eskimos"~3rd Tribe.

Oya what does your tribe do?
PoliticsRe: 100 Days In Office As Nigerian President, What Can Nigeria Boast Of? by Frican(op): 8:26am On Sep 06, 2015
hinwazaka:
PMB's first 100 days has been monumental. Below are a few of his iconic achievements.

* Imposition and hijacking of INEC
* Decimation and reduction of the staff of the DSS
* Nepotism, bigotry and favouritism is now a criteria for appointments and recruitment into the nation's public institutes
* Flagrant abuse and disregard for processes and due procedure
* Massive corruption being peddled by perm secs and civil servants
* Consistent assassination attempts on political big wigs
* Economic decline and decrease in foreign investment
* A maligned and miscalculated security plan
* lack of policy direction
Among numerous other achievements, the country looks headed for recession and a large budget deficit. Happy 100 days.

Politics100 Days In Office As Nigerian President, What Can Nigeria Boast Of? by Frican(op): 1:38pm On Sep 04, 2015
Today I share the thoughts of a Nigerian lawyer who believes that assets declaration is a way to divert people's attention from achievements. As we know, The Nigerian President will this week celebrate his 100 days in office. There has been, however, mixed reactions regarding this as Nigerians reflect on the promises made and how far the government is from its fulfillment. The Economist also, having looked at this declared the president as #SLOWCOACH. embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

After several months of call by the populace to prompt the president’s public declaration of assets, as one of the promises, he finally declared it.

“Declaration of Assets: Last night, I was greeted by the news of what seems like a public declaration of assets by Mr President and his Vice; which however, appears to me to be no more than a clear attempt to tweak the discourse @ ‪#‎100days‬ in office. for more of his thoughts kindly follow the link: http://weinafrica.com/2015/09/100-days-in-office-as-nigerian-president-what-can-nigeria-boast-of/ ...

Former president Thabo Mbeki, while addressing an interactive gathering held by the Homecoming Revolution in Johannesburg, said that Africa’s dream will be difficult to realize if her skilled professionals continue to leave the continent for pastures abroad.

”The number of skilled people and professionals our continent has lost over the decades is truly frightening. Since 1990, Africa lost 20,000 academic professionals who left their countries [and] 10 percent of highly skilled information technology and finance professionals have also left the continent in recent years,”

Prior to Obama's Visit to Kenya, CNN embarked on what is best described as campaign of calumny. The real essence was to deter Obama from visiting his country of ORIGIN. Recently, after several calls or reactions, CNN apologized.

In his reaction, the president, Uhuru Kenyatu, had this to say:

You mischaracterized Kenya. You also angered Government&Kenyans with the ‘hotbed story’ #UhuruTellsCNN, EVP and MD Tonny Maddox @cnni #KOT.

We don’t expect to be showered with praise,we accept honest criticism. That is how we grow #UhuruTellsCNN EVP&MD Tonny Maddox @cnni #KOT.

Technology MarketWhat We Failed To Discuss After Nigerian Civil War Presents Our Tech Setbacks by Frican(op): 5:11pm On Aug 06, 2015
"The colonialists had claimed that it would take Nigeria about five hundred years to learn the technology and the complexity of the oil industry. The Biafran’s learnt to refine the crude within the period of the fight. Today, we still export our crude abroad to be refined. Why this consumerism mind-set? This consumerism mind-set is not usual to Nigeria alone, it is the norm in most African states. We don’t have faith and trust in most things that are indigenously made. Why?"

"On 1 September 1969, Col. Gadaffi led a group of young Libyan military officers against King Idris I in a bloodless coup d’état . Colonel Gaddafi inherited one of the poorest nations in Africa, however, by the time he was assassinated, Gaddafi had turned Libya into Africa’s wealthiest nation. Perhaps, Gaddafi’s greatest crime was his desire to make Africa truly independent."~ Attah Chukwuma

Recently, there was a call from the concerned asking CNN to apologize over her statement describing East Africa as a 'hotbed of terror'.

http://weinafrica.com/2015/07/cnn-called-to-apologize-for-calling-east-africa-a-hotbed-of-terror/

But that is not about East Africa alone. It is about Africa. we agree that Africa is currently passing through a difficult time in her history, we can blame the leaders for it, we can decide to look a little beyond that.

Have you read how Europe underdeveloped Africa? How come they usually like what they project and anything that posses threat to them is wanted for elimination? Think of Gadaffi etc.

You saw how Nigerian election also went? Don't get me wrong, I like Buhari too and pray for him to succeed but did you see the fast play in outing Jonathan by both the western media and their president. Don't also get me wrong, Jonathan has his flaws too but my point is; US quickly passed a vote of confidence on Buhari after election, invited him to US and made him a home. When Buhari came back, for failure to accept Gay rights as it is rumoured, US who had promised to assist Nigeria started backing out and have sent the first message which is refusal to sale arms.

In the link provided, CNN is gradually telling the world how bad Africa is, when a trace of terrorism is found anywhere in the west, they are first to report it and keeps on the news. If same happens in any part of Africa, it is in Africa. Africa has, to them, become a country... mtcheew, our news media has also keyed into this and we r always branded negatively. THIS IS AFFECTING THE PSYCHE OF US ALL.

As Obama visits Kenya, there are many things that have been learned... among the many contained in this link are:

Barak Obama’s father was an economist for the Kenyan government, his clash with then-President Jomo Kenyatta, father with Uhuru Kenyatta-current Kenyan President, over tribal divisions and allegations of corruption. Subsequently, Obama snr. was ultimately relieved of his duty by the president, sending him into a tailspin of financial problems and heavy drinking.
On Friday both presidents met for the first time as Presidents.

http://weinafrica.com/2015/07/obama-in-kenya-what-we-have-learned/

And many more

In my view, Great people that existed at same time, had a lot of things in relation. Physically or otherwise. I am beginning to think that a lot are preplanned as a way to get someone hurt so much as to decide for a change or encouraged.

When next you treat me, a friend of yours, be careful cos u might end up a local government council boss in Naija and I a president of America.
