Infolenka:Exactly! Why's the DJ playing their music, especially as things are currently? |
safarigirl:I think she dragged his hand there. I bet if you met Ricky in person you might give him a flying kick. He seems to upset you for some reason. |
safarigirl:How na? You said BBnaija is a major hunting ground for Nollywood talent, and i explained to you why that's not correct. Don't bite my head off abeg. |
safarigirl:Lol, even Prince Nelson stated that most Nollywood directors try as much as they can to avoid using BBnaija housemates except when they're buzzing which usually lasts 1-2 years, which is why the likes of Tboss, Erica, Lambo, Tolani, & Lilo got acting roles, but for how long? Imagine putting Neche in a movie if not for anything other than buzz value? Neche that might faint out of anxiety if she hears "Action!" from the movie director! Oh i forgot 2 ex-housemates who broke into Nollywood and stayed for long - Gideon and the late Rico Swavey. |
safarigirl:Lol, BBnaija, talent pool for WHO? The only true Nollywood success stories from BBnaija are Tobi, Bisola, Bambam and Venita, with Frank from Ebuka's season. Hermes also gave a good showing in Slum King, but he's not there yet. Then Joe Abdallah is doing really well behind the scenes. The rest just got into 1 or 2 movies or cameos. |
safarigirl:Lol, being born ugly isn't anybody's fault, but being ugly on the inside is totally self-inflicted. Nomy can see a cosmetic surgeon and a dentist to fix her horrible features, but is she willing to see a therapist to fix her uglier personality? |
Ibukzy:You no go dey one place abi? |
safarigirl:Lol, bias for who and against who? Tram is a streamer, whatever he does is calculated for views, albeit mischievous. He's possibly the only intentional actor in the house apart from Yusuf and Chuka . When did Neche suddenly become an AMVCA award winner capable of cooking up highlights on cue? Even Nomy, as rancid as she is, is living her reality. That's what reality TV should be, realistic. |
safarigirl:Shifting the goalpost & not so subliminal jabs ? That's intellectually dishonest o, but it's on you. Your not reading what i typed after is just your estrogen overpowering your logic i guess. So it's not about the money, it's about longer staying time in the house abi? Let's go there. For some people, 2 weeks of exposure is all they need. This is apart from the reasons why viewers like a particular housemate. It could simply be based on having a fine face, the way you dress, hope you handle relationships in the house, people seeing themselves in the housemate,or even speaking intelligently. But then again, you come across as a professional critic, a rather faceless version of Godessa, and i can't blame you for that, afterall no be me pay your DStv subscription. But you need to dial down on your expectations. I bet if a camera followed you 24hours a day as a reality TV show based on your daily living, we would not get that many highlights, because that's real life, NOT a movie. And YET, the show would might still get many followers. |
Geezeem:Well, Tram should modify it, because at this point he risks being blanked by the girls, and some of the guys are getting irritated by his antics. He might get a whooping if he's not careful. |
Estellie:Read what I typed slowly dear - in real life, drama happens. My issue is with instigating drama, acting a fool, or even shipping for viewing pleasure, let me not mention the irritating trend of watching cameras and acting. Neche's rant was legitimate, albeit childish, and was NOT for highlights. It's something she would probably do outside of the house as well. |
safarigirl:Examples abound, and you obviously didn't watch the very first BBnaija. Again, not everyone is here for the money. Ebuka's set was made up of very random Nigerians, mostly fresh graduates and students. Ebuka himself just finished NYSC and was just up for anything new, same as Gideon that just finished Biochemistry from Unizik. Maureen was a young worker. Katung had also just graduated. Sandra, Helen , Yinka, Ichemeta & the late Franca were still students. The late Joe was an air host. Frank was a stage actor and dancer. After the show, only Ebuka (the least likely) , Gideon , & Frank, went into showbiz. Katung briefly went into filmmaking before going corporate. Mind you, almost all of them got endorsement deals o, Ebuka, Maureen & Joe being prominent here. Allysyn from Level Up made it clear she wanted to go back to the quiet life of mainly modelling and wasn't really interested in fame. For some it's fame, for some it's ticking off a bucket list, for some it's just trying out something new, for others it's personal brand visibility, for others it's also an exercise in keeping busy while standing a chance to get 160m you didn't work for, minus sponsored tasks and gifts from fans o. Neche has an athleisure brand. Orders will definitely go up. A wider range of quality male attention will come her way, both simps, guys wey wan nack, and guys wey wan marry am. Tons of gifts will come from fans, shippers and even female ex-housemates wey wan famz am or recruit am for corporate O.S business. So i don't get this new craze of expecting housemates to act a fool for the viewing pleasure of faceless armchair analysts that have turned gbas gbos & drama to their dopamine addiction. |
tioluwalasee:Nomy isn't equipped for a brat like Tram. She's a legitimately ugly girl, on the inside and outside. Tram didn't even lean into her heavily, someone like me would have used words that will burn her heart till she sheds tears out of sheer pain. She should go home ASAP abeg. |
safarigirl:Not everyone is desperate to win 160m that was never theirs in the first place. Some people want nothing to do with the spotlight or any involvement in entertainment. They might simply want to be here for the experience. It also helps to not make a bum of yourself for 2 months ago 2 weeks because you want to entertain, then years later if you speak online one funny character will troll you with videos or pictures of what you did in the house. This is still a social experiment and the display of CONTROLLED REALITY which isn't always exciting or full of gbas gbos, forget that BBnaija thrives on instigated drama. |
Amya:Nomy just showed that she either came to Lagos as an adult, or she grew up in a low-cost area of Lagos. Maryland/Ilupeju/Anthony is Ikeja axis, legit old money. Infact, Tram stays there because his family owns property there, Yahoo boys avoid that place, same as working class people earning below 1m. Lekki axis is more of new money, only Ikoyi & VI, and Marina can truly compete with the Ikeja axis. Tram is a Mama-Thank-You last born, and Nomy is a very serious wannabe that probably believes in social climbing and hanging with the 'right' people, hence her otimkpu forced friendship with Neche and Temi. Girls like that also specialize in cvck-blocking for their more attractive girlfriends, especially when they feel that the guy no reach. She would have met her true match in Sheggz, name dropping and bragging for choke! They will earn the first strikes of the season. |
fitzmayowa:Gang chasing him ke, how? You mean outside the house? |
safarigirl:If Neche wears a short wig, fixes a light chin beard and mustache, and talks with a sluggish, deeper cadence, you'll think it's Barry. Which is why i find the whole thing weird. Maybe Neche has noticed it too. Lol, yellow people are still black people o, we come in many varieties, especially among Igbo & some Akwa/Cross people. When i was in the East, i saw really exotic human beings - naturally blonde girls, people with grey/greenish eyes, people with brown eyes, biracial-looking people, people that look like Arabs, all full-blooded Igbos, many of whom still lived in the village. From Phyno to Ozo to Nina to Angela Okorie to Tekno to Pat Utomi that retd General Okorie-Afia(former NYSC boss). We sometimes kinda treat them somehow and e no too make sense, which is why Mercedes smartly tried to kill the melanin argument between Bells & Neche that was getting intense, it was like Neche felt her blackness was being questioned, and Bells senselessly acting like she's more black. |
safarigirl:It happens to the best of us. Sensible men however walk away, weak men start fights & risk getting regulated for it. Women on the other hand seek to first despise each other and naturally hate to share their stuff, which includes their men. I personally don't like it when women overreact when they suspect other women are involved with their men. They know the men love them, they know they're the No. 1s, yet they get irritated with sidechicks that are just temporary distractions and flavours of the week. This is another area i think Dessa also shines. She actually wants Araga to explore with other women and then come back to her, she's not unreasonably possessive. |
safarigirl:Oh, my bad. You know both of them personally? So they're actually not good till today, wow! And yes, they're usually coached bts to try and create highlights during the reunion show. I know this because i personally spoke with someone in that NLG season. Because they were deemed generally boring, the production team/crew were warning then that it was their last shot at popularity, so they better give in their best effort to make the reunion show watchable. That explains the nonsense Mensan and Denari did during their season's reunion show. |
fitzmayowa:Lol, and you believe Araga? |
Beorn:Why is nobody mentioning the fact that Barry and Neche have a very spooky resemblance? Minus skin tone, watch their noses, chin, their body frames and when they smile. If i was Barry, i can cuddle and peck, but i would rather wait till after the show to be sure before I do wetin fit carry me go alusi! |
safarigirl:Pipe no too dey abundant like before o, which is why many of you females are buying up every intimacy gadget in sight. Apart from Tram & maybe Chuka, watch how none of the guys this year have no real stories about flexing or living in financial stability. In Tinubu's Nigeria, many men are on survival mode. The 40k you'll spend on Uber money to bring the babe wey wan nack you can be used to buy units or raw foodstuff or fuel for your gen or car. Even hookup don reduce. Plus, you think Bells gets that many DMs and cat-calls outside the house? |
safarigirl:Neche is beautiful and a legit golden-skinned nepo baby, but she's really just a good wife material. Chiamaka is earthy, smoky, mysterious, and she has the weird ability to just naturally ooze off sexual energy. Her personality get as e be, but she's undeniably hot. Araga is obviously not the first guy that has bought her fight. If she truly wants to mess with Barry's mental health, it would be too easy. |
Godessa must be feeling like one queen of seduction knowing that she has 2 of the fresh boys of the season in her hands. |
safarigirl:My name isn't "many of you on this thread", i didn't even have any opinion of him apart from noting that the ship with Dessa would give him highlights. Na you alone know wetin Cassi and Ricky do you. And kai, Sooj? Isn't that the guy that had the compulsive binge eating disorder that had to manufacture a fake fight with Topher for reunion highlights? You sef! |
safarigirl:And you can say "All these burly guys" because you have fighting experience? Buff guys that look intimidating typically get tired easily and can't fight, BUT many buff guys can actually also fight. Kiss Daniel's bouncer is a kickboxer, Bobby Lashley is a very good fighter, Kiddwaya got very beefy in All Stars, but he's a martial artist. Never say Never. What if Araga just has a Bruce Lee physique and loud voice with some basic street-fighting experience? Chiamaka na kuku smooth criminal, if anything happens to Araga's stay in the house, she'll be down for a day or two before moving on. No time! |
safarigirl:Lol, what in the false equivalence?! Nobody has been killed, but I'm not sticking around to have a first, and neither are the show's promoters. In BBA, Nando almost knifed Elikem. DKB & Zainab had a violent altercation. Roki & Maina same thing. Now we come to BBnaija. Cee-C & Tobi was dangerously close to violent. Biggie had to commend Tobi for his very high restraint. Ike & Seyi in Pepper Dem could have gone bad if Frodd didn't intervene. Pere & Whitemoney could have turned really ugly. Mercy and Tacha could have resulted in serious injuries. Deks would have pounded Sheggz to a pulp. What if Rooboy had lost it and rendered Zita unconscious? What if Kaybobo decided to let loose on Mensan? What if Bright Morgan had gotten close enough to KK to use that bottle? What if Kuture decided to really put hands on Faith? I don't know what part of you thinks human conflict is an impossibility in a monitored environment. What stopped Araga from quietly telling Cassi to cut it out instead of yelling because he wants a woman to think he's hard? Then Cassi reciprocates, it gets messy, he gets disqualified, and he'll go home to watch Dessa get pumped by some other dude on national TV (remember Seidou/Talia on BBA as well as Bella/Koyin/KK?). Smart men avoid & de-escalate issues when they're still at 0 before they get to 100. For someone who talks a very big game about logic, how come this is lost on you? |
bentenny:She curved him still. Tram needs brushing sha |
safarigirl:Even in his shouting match with Chiamaka, he was still quite restrained, let's be honest. He was just raising his voice more. With a guy, it's not a shouting matter. It's a quiet process of sizing each other up and planning what to do if it pops off. Meanwhile, i agree with you on the Neche situation. His being shy isn't the issue, his jabbing Ricky constantly and living vicariously through Barry is. |
safarigirl:Never say never. As a woman, you can sit back and act like a court side audience member at a WWE match. For the guy, it's a dangerous gamble that might take his head, hence why smart men pick their fights carefully & don't go buying people's battles anyhow. I get that it's chivalrous to defend a woman's honour, but at what cost? And don't think Biggie's House is 100% foolproof. A crazy person might snap and do damage before bouncers and policemen flood the house. |
akinsto4ever:If Neche, Godessa or Sheba talk dat kain tin, i fit believe small. But KAMSY the funky teletubby? Nah! |
Clement1111:Leave girls o. He's annoying, he's this , he's that, they don't send him, WHY are they still wasting energy talking about someone that they don't rate in any way? That's why Ricky has calmly become the most popular male housemate of this season by simply keeping quiet and maintaining nonchalance. |
