~Bluetooth: Funny What has homosexuality go to do with being educated ? Education teaches moral;an acceptable standard for societal ethics and ever since,i'm yet to find an aspect of formal education that recognizes homosexuality as a normal societal culture.: it has always been about freedom. If I may ask Where did you go to school? and what was your major in college? |

Beaf: Go check the list of Nigeria's living legends, of the 20, 4 are from the old Bendel. There are a dozens of others from Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa etc, but a tribalist fool like you wouldn't know that. Just imagine that, no matter where you come from, the SS generates the money you live on. So do a lil thinking, how can anybody fight us and win? You do know that crude oil is highly flammable, right? One bomb and y'all are toast! Nigeria living legend eh? You not gonna fight a war with a brain like that of Enahoro ( The most illustrious individual to ever come out of that creek)? would you? All we need do is pay Biafrans additional 20 pounds, and they will take care of your rebellious arse. You do know what happened between Iraq and Kuwait in the 1990s right? |

Odunnu: Same reason that'l make an ibo gurl go to OAU. Very faulty logic An Ibo girls goes to OAU because she wants to go to the best school in country. But why would a Yoruba girl leave the SW, where the 3 best universities in the country are situated, and go for inferior education? |

Beaf: That is the same thing the Arabs thought about Israel, but you can ask about the 7 day war. POC: It was a 6 day war That said, the SS has not, till today, produced a single smart person well known in Nigeria. How can a bunch of below average Nigerians effectively fight a war with little or no equipment, not to talk about the dearth of human and military power evident in the SS |

pro01: Lol. We wouldn't expect Tinubu or any present or ex public official to openly declare the companies they own or promote, would we? We all know what 'fronts' are, and our politicians and policical class use these fronts (local and foreign) to full effect. The Chagoury family are especially legendary in this regard, and have put their money-magic skills to 'good' use for many Nigerians in the ruling class. . .since the Abacha days.
But that's a topic for another day, lets not derail the present thread. Your argument falls apart right there. the Chagoury family are known to be fronts for the Abacha family, not for Tinubu Tinubu owns ABC, very well known. But to claim that the Chagoury group work for him is just laughable. |

Abagworo: You should liberate yourself from tribalism and regionalism and see clearly that Buhari is miles ahead of GEJ.Ask your father what Buhari did to corrupt leaders within few days of being in power and compare with Jonathans 4 years. Also check the impact of Buhari lead PTF on every Nigerian.Buhari's records are his campaign.
Next years election will be rigged by PDP but there will be crisis that might lead to a coup. It is you who should free your mind Stop reading tribalism and ethnocentricism into everything I dont like GEJ However, he is a better candidate, in totality, looking at his personal achievement of course, than those from the North. Anyone can fight corruption using the institution of the Military to intimidate and brutalize people. The methods used by Buhari are no more acceptable in this age and time. Those were the same method, albeit selectively, used by OBJ that were and are still widely condemned. GEJ believes in the power and autonomy of the court, a concept alien to every fiber of Buhari's make-up |

~Bluetooth: There are many things you can't understand.does homosexuality seems right to you in the first instance ? It doesnt matter if itz right or not? They ought to be tolerated in the society and they should be accorded the same right as every other person. I speak Yoruba, so do you, and I dont think it is right that some people speak languages that are different from me. Irrespective of how I feel about other people, I still think that people who speak different languages from me should be allowed the same right as myself. Just because your religion has impressed it upon you to think that homosexuality is bad, it does not mean it is wrong. Education, I have come to accept, frees mind. In your situation, your education doesnt seem to have done you any good. And that is very unfortunate. You should know by now that the concept of right and wrong is not as clear cut. what may seem wrong today could be regarded as right tomorrow and vice versa. It is up to you and i to look at things with open mind, humbly allowing things to reveal themselves to us, rather that accepting religious dogmas willy-nilly. The same church and her divine book once made us believe that we are at the center of the universe, thanks to Galileo, we now know better. It is my hope that in the not so distant future, you would come back to your senses and accept people as they are, not as you think they ought to be. |

SEFAGO: Who told you I am an atheist? Heading to church tomorrow man. Going to check out the ladies bro. Nothing is better than hot women praising the lord Where did I assume you were? Simple question: Who is your favorite non-believer, other than Dawkins Mensa he?. . . Me thinks not! |
Politics › Re: We Should Decriminalise Homosexuality In Nigeria by fstrangest: 8:46am On Jan 02, 2011 |
SEFAGO: Well the issue is that for most agnostics- its impossible to prove the existence of God, but its also impossible to prove his non-existence itself. However, the atheist would follow the same logical flow, that is there is a God then he cannot be benevolent since there is so much crap going on in the world. However, a malevolent God is contrary, and quite scary infact, so it would be better if God does not exist.
That is operating under the assumption of course that the actions of a supreme being can be understood by insignificant creatures like us. However, one would have to argue itself for the motives of that supreme being "creating the world" or if the world itself is that supreme being e.t.c
I really love God arguments since they are complex and lots of fun to engage in, so sad though not many people to argue this with on NL.
LOL, are you still jealous Who is your favorite atheist/ book? Other than Dawkins! |
