Elusive001:
Southern what? We will support the north against Tinubu.

Where was your delusional "southern solidarity" when you guys joined the north against GEJ?

Delusion is real

PoliticsAnd Nasiru El'rufai Threatens Tinubu With Jonathan's Fate. by FSU(op): 12:37am On Jan 21
Nasiru El’Rufai is both an angry and an arrogant man. The combination of these two attributes makes him blockheadedly delusional.
There is this video of Nasiru threatening Tinubu, in which he compared what happened to Jonathan in 2024 to what would happen to Tinubu in 2027.

Now, I do not like Tinubu and hope he is kicked out and thrown into jail after 2027 for corruption, nepotism, and incompetence. grin grin grin But Nasiru is absolutely in no position to threaten Tinubu with the fate of Jonathan.

For one, Jonathan is from a smaller, albeit oil-empowered, ethnic group in Nigeria. Jonathan did not challenge his loss by any means possible presumably because the population odds were against him. The entire North, South-West and even parts of his own South-South supported Buhari. In contrast, Tinubu is from one of the big three ethnic groups. I believe that at this point, 99% of Yorubas will support Tinubu. I believe that as the incumbent Tinubu has bribed his way enough in the South-South, South-East, and North, including among Muslims to garner enough votes that could make him president using all means possible, including rigging, voter intimidation, disenfranchisement, and tampering with digital ballot counting and transfer systems.

Secondly, Tinubu is a thug and has enough thugs in his payroll to match Nasiru's and make Nigeria ungovernable.

Thirdly, and importantly, Nasiru should be reminded that 2027 is the turn of the South. So instead of him running around and throwing tantrums and riling with anger, he should be talking to Atiku to relinquish any interest in contesting the presidency in 2027 and support Peter Obi. Only a southern contest with an Obi-type co-contestant can remove Tinubu from power in 2027. And I said ‘’can’’, not ‘’will’’. It’s a toss between them.

I have come to accept that the preponderance of Nigerians are too poor to think rationally, such that bribing them with pittance is very easy to sway their votes.
PoliticsThe Obi Vs Atiku Quagmire Is So Deep That You Need a PhD in Politics to Unravel by FSU(op): 7:30pm On Jan 17
The Obi vs Atiku quagmire is so deep that you need a PhD in politics to unravel it😃😃

If Obi is the candidate vs Tinubu and he (Obi) wins, Tinubu will more easily be able to rig the system because of three reasons: (1) Obi is a pacifist and will only try to recover his mandate through the courts. Unfortunately, the judges are in Tinubu's pockets (2) The SE is not a forceful region at the national level. I don't see them shutting down the country or even the SE because of rigged election and (3) northern supporters of Obi will not stick their necks out for him for too long and would soon be persuaded by their Imams and political leaders to stand down any protests.

If Atiku is the candidate vs Tinubu, he will lose because 2027 is the turn of the South. Most southerners would rather vote for Tinubu than for Atiku, and Tinubu also has a large northern base due to the APC spread. Atiku can try to instigate the North to make the country ungovernable if he felt outrigged by Tinubu, but that would not work well because Atiku is not from the North West, which is the political hotbed of the North.

Either way, Tinubu appears to be holding the long end of the stick.

If 2027 was the turn of the North, I would readily have given my blessing for Obi to step down for Atiku as his VP, after a solid gentleman's agreement that Obi will become president after Atiku. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me fathom Atiku (a Fulani) taking over just 4 years after another Fulani (Buhari) messed up the country so bad and left us with an even bigger messer-upper called Tinubu.

Nigeria is in a bind and Yoruba tribalism is not helping matters.
PoliticsPhoto Of Tinubu Commissioning The New Expressway To Lagos by FSU(op): 8:31pm On Jun 03, 2025
Tinubu commissioned the new Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway last week. The road is supposed to be about 700 km long. He commissioned only 30 km of a 700 km road, which is less than 4.5% of the road's length. I thought I knew the meaning of the phrase "to commission a project" until Tinubu successfully commissioned an uncompleted project. Well I don't blame Tinubu. The blame is on the opposition, the press, and the masses.
