Politics / Re: How Well Is AFDB Being Managed? by FSU: 6:07pm On Sep 18, 2019
AAEEI:
I am involved in several projects funded by the government of the Netherlands (NL), the US government, and AFDB (AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK) in African countries, including Nigeria, as well as in Asia. I was recently in a meeting where projects implementation progress was being discussed, and the participants (80% white/non African people) do not have great words for AFDB, due to seeming breach of contract in not releasing funds already approved for project execution. They are threatening to pull out.

In the photo below, color code = level of implementation based on donor release of funds. Green is well funded and progressing and meeting the project objectives. Yellow is on the way to achieving the project objectives. Red is under-performing.

TAAT is in red - which in this case means no funding yet from the donor after considerable period of time after project approval. Incidentally, AFDB also happens to be the only African donor on the plate. As an African, I felt a little ashamed that Africans seem not to be able to get things right, even when the issue at stake is for them. Which brings me to the question of how well AFDB is being managed.

NB: TAAT is the much touted Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation of AFDB, which in the case of Nigeria started with GEJ and continuing with Buhari. The current AFDB-approved TAAT funding for NWA is $7 million (USD); I am directly involved in a project component budgeted at $1.8 M.

NWA = North and West Africa

Isn't AfDB headed by a Nigerian? Nigerian (lazy) factor at play?

Nigerians may be crying racism, racism (by White people) all over the place; evidences like this demonstrate that Nigeria is highly ethnically (intra-racially) segregated. This is not just govt politics. It is people's tribal socio-politics as well.

Business / Politics- How Many Major SE Markets Have "Odu Yoruba"? by FSU: 2:19pm On Sep 14, 2019
Odu Yoruba = "Yoruba section" in Igbo language.
I have seen odu Yoruba in Enugu Main Market and Ariaria Market, Aba.

Can you name other SE markets with Odu Yoruba?

This thread was created to increase awareness that there are Yorubas in SE markets, as opposed to the baseless claims being made online that Igbos don't rent shops to Yorubas. Of course, that applies to Hausa as well.

That being said, I would like to know why Nigerians tend to segregate themselves into ethnic cocoons when they reside in other parts of Nigeria. We have Sabon Gari in the North for southerners; we have Ama Hausa and Odu Yoruba in the East for northerners and westerners, respectively; Festac and Amuwo Odofin area in the West (Lagos) for Easterners; and of course, Sabo in the West for Northerners.

Northern states should better start registering Easterners.

Nothing wrong with that; they can register anybody in their states. Easterners don't kill people in the North like you murderers do in the South and also in the North. So, nothing to worry about registering them.

Read the responses from people in previous pages. Don't just jump into a discussion from nowhere. Someone posted that as a President the man manages a budget of $5.9B or so. If (note if) that amount is not the total, then his boss could be managing a higher amount which could bring the total budget or revenue or whatever you call it close to $13 B

Coward!, hiding in a dark bedroom without electricity.
You will die a coward. I and many well meaning Nigerians and true Biafrrians are forever grateful for those Nigerians who protested against south African xenophobia, in anyway,. They vented their anger and the president of Nigeria was woken up from the sleep he was since 2015.
Guy hide in shame, those uys made sent a message that was loud, necessary sound, focused fruitful

It is wrong to loot. Like he said there are multiple ways to protest. In the US you will be in jail for looting regardless of the reason. Lekwa ''Onye True Biafrans''. True Igbos like us will not seize an opportunity to become criminals. Obu ndi di ka gi na ele ogwu na South.

Only Yoruba people have the right to deal with Tinubu

Tinubu is not in any federal or government office

You guys should not really be talking about attacking other tribes politicians and leaders considering the events that led to the Civil War unless you are planning to have another civil war

Ojukwu and NNAMDI things.

Anyways, there's a saying choose your enemies wisely, also translates to choose your opponent wisely, this should be common sense. Your assault on public officers is against the law or even any other citizen and no citizen alike.
Yorubas are fighting but not the same battle as Igbos.

You are fighting Nigeria, we are fighting for a better Nigeria.

Kindly inform me on this, I might not know, so kindly help to update my history if you please! While you have to agree with me that there is no debate on how ojukwu ran away, also of how NNAMDI is still on the run.

Igbos fought and withdrew tactically on two occasions, as you can see. Yoruba never fought and likely will never do so. Sowore was still talking until he was arrested - he never protested for one minute, let alone face the Nigerian military like Ojukwu and Kanu did for years and years. Sowore will likely die in jail like Abiola, seeing as no single Yoruba leader is asking for his release. Y'all are busy doing owambe, while your house burns. That is the reason I support IPOB assaulting only Igbo leaders. We want you to fight for once in y'all's lives.

Can IPOB assault somebody like Tinubu in Germany?

They can, because all Nigerian leaders should be fair game for angry Nigerian. But they should not, for tribal reasons. It all boils down to the fact that Nigeria is not a country, but a forceful aggregation of different nationalities.
Politics / Re: Can IPOB Assault A ''Tinubu'' in Germany? by FSU: 7:00pm On Aug 20, 2019
Germannig:

Nigeria is a highly tribalized society. As such, IPOB may be seen as having no ''cultural right'' to assault or harass a corrupt Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani or other non-Igbo corrupt politicians. The ethnic perception of the events leading to the Biafra war, in which corrupt leaders of other ethnic groups were rounded up by Nigerians mainly of Igbo extraction, MUST not be repeated by IPOB. For the public assault on Nigerian politicians visiting foreign countries to be effective, each ethnic group must only deal with their own thieves. Imagine IPOB attacking Tinubu in Germany? That will be Biafra War 2.0 accusation from the Yorubas.

I concur
