nagoma: What about the new brewery at Aba?That is a federal project right? |
afam4eva: The Irony of it all is that despite the deplorable leadership that we've had in Nigeria, the few people who have shown us that things can go well in the federal level are mostly Igbos eg Dora Akunyili(Nafdac), Chukwuma Soludo(CBN), Oby Ezekwesilli, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala etc.Add Ngige and Nnaji to that list and also Rochas Rocha's nationally-spread humanitarian service(including free scholarships for students in SW, North and SE) plus the experience he is gaining governing a stubborn state like Imo makes him qualified to lead Nigeria where less qualified persons (Yaradua, Jonathan, etc have led) As for SW, only Fasola comes to mind. North ![]() ?? |
Aderostock: Role models: Fashola, fayemi, gbajabiamila etc, ok?Can you name the achievements of Fayemi and Gbajamiala. What has been their contribution to Nigerian nation building, not talking about local politics and contributions. Do you even know who Gbajamiala is? Please do some googling, the guy was convicted in the US and he ran back to Naija to become a Yoruba leader. |
Onlytruth: No, we are talking about QUALIFIED candidate. As if they have qualified candidates than the SE Why don't we have the names of qualified SW and N candidates? |
Fact is that an Igbo president for Nigeria can only be delayed. It cannot be denied (that is, if Nigeria remains one). It is a matter of time. I will prefer to sit back for now (short term) and watch Nigeria implode or be run rudderlessly like it has been over the past 50 years by the North and to a lesser extent the SW. |
Arsenate: Sorry! You are not united and that's all. It has nothing to do with u being democratic. Y'all are too greedy and don't really like each other. No one wants to step down for the other. That has always being the bane of the igbo.In 2003, Olusegun Obasanjo, Sarah Jubril, Abayomi Ferreira, Gani Fawehinmi, Moji Obasanjo, Tunji Braitwaite (spelling?) and Olapade Agoro, all Yorubas, contested against each other. In 2007, Yaradua, Buhari, Bafarawa, Habu Fari and Atiku, all Fulani, contested against each other. Why should people step down for others? What is the purpose of an election if not to pick the best from the lot? Anyways, you Yoruba and Hausa are doomed with your feudalism, where one man sits down and decides who leads with no contest for any position. Shame. |
jadakiss213: Quit stalking me dude..fact remains no Ibo man will become president anytime soon.(2035 is the earliest.u can hang for all I care..You are not worth my shoe lace let alone stalking you. You are the one who first responded to my post. Ordinarily, I do not respond to posts from half-baked urchins such as yourself. |
afam4eva: I also align with your school of thought. I just hope Igbos will vote in the best candidate irrespective of tribal affiliation. But that person must have the interest of Igbos at heart. That is the way to go. The presidency has not guaranteed automatic development for any region. But of course not for some incompetent, highly corrupt Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani to be handed the presidency without a contest. Somehow, I do support what Orji said about people voting for their own: something that the SW and North have been doing already, anyways. Per Nigeria's electoral laws, if I am correct, you need to win votes from each zone to be a president. So it is possible that there will be a stalemate that will require sitting on a round table to iron out. People underate Igbo population to their own peril. Igbo vote in SW put GEJ there in Aso Rock. Yorubas did not vote for him. Such stalemate will be more advantageous for the Igbo if we support GEJ to finish his second term. So we know that in 2019, it is a 3-way fight between SE/SS and SW and North. If we support SS again, I do not see why they will not support us in 2019. |
I am an Igbo man and I approve this message (my personal opinion) |
asemota2012: Any of you (including the so called Uzor- Kalu)who still believes that it is only three ethnic tribe that make up and exists in Nigeria should better open his/her two eyes very very well before you find yourself rots in fools paradise. The fact that Jonathan from a group different from the three ethnic groups you have in mind makes nonsense of your post above BTW, IBB, Gowon, Abubakir and now GEJ are all from so-called minority groups. |
jadakiss213: Come to think of it,an Orji Kalu that barely escaped kirikiri, ruled a state for 8yrs and left it as a big trash bin, couldn't even win an ordinary senate seat is the one leading the clamour for ibo presidency 2015? Smh..This guy should just sit down and quietly enjoy his loot..Yeah! Like Obasanjo came out of Kirikiri to lead And like Tinubu, a US ex-convict who also barely escaped Kirikiri is ACN leader angling to become president |
jadakiss213: Stop twistin facts!,Nigeria only had 2(two) speakers btwn 2007 and 2011..U need to raise valid points when u argue if ure aint just st'pid..can't see an Ibo man becoming Nigeria's president in the nearest future #for obvious reasons. You must not be a smart person. Infact, you are a dummy. 5 Senate presidents (SP) in 8 years = one SP per 1.6 years 2 speakers in 4 years (let's allow your claim for a second) = 1 speaker per two year What is the difference between 2 years and 1.6 years? Like I said, were it not for Yaradua's death, it would have been a harvest of speakers. The signs were already there with Bankole under serious impeachment threat. |
hm! |
jadakiss213: Guy,ure so daft...2 speakers in 4 years(2007 to 2011) compared to 6 senate presidents in 8 years..can u see how united u guys are..the truth remains ur leaders will always sell out.that has been shown over and over again..2 years, you incorrigible nincompoop Yaradua came in in 2007 and became incapacitated in 2009 In that time we had two Yoruba speakers and Bankole was to be impeached and replaced by Yoruba before Jonathan took over and the political balancing equation changed. It would have been a basket of Yoruba speakers of Yaradua did not die. |
sneak3: Am sure if Nigeria decides to zone presidency to south east for 2015 we would have over 5000 igbos wanting to be president. That is the best thing to do to pick the best out of the lot. As long as only one of them will be the president and the replacing VP is not Igbo. We are not like you who is dictated to by Obas and Asiwajus and Emirs, who will nominate only one person and close the door against others. We are democratic and not feudal like Yoruba and the North |
OYINBOGOJU: OkadigboThese are not Igbo role modes, except for Nnamani who remains the best senate president in recent times and who has comported himself well since leaving office. Soludo, Nnaji, Nnamani, Ezekwesili, Okonjo Iweala are a few of the Igbo role models. I can go on and on. Please who is the Yoruba role model? Tinubu? Obasanjo? Bankole? Etteh? Who? |
OYINBOGOJU: Afam4eva represent IGBO mentality on this forumNot before we have stopped ACN from infecting the nation with US-convicted criminals like Tinubu and his closeted thief-thief boy boy Fasola |
A Nigerian president of Igbo extraction is not the Igbo problem especially in 2015 Instead, Igbos should continue to work for state equality and even development of the country. The greatest cause of less federal development in Igboland than in other places is the fact that we have less number of states, so losing billions in regional allocation annually. We still have Enugu Airport, R. Niger bridge and Aba inland port to talk about, among other deserving federal projects Igbo should be fighting for voting rights for diaspora Nigerians. This will give strong voting power to the huge Igbo population outside the country. Jonathan should complete his term in 2015 and then things will unfold in 2019. Ask yourselves what has the North gained from ruling Nigeria all these years? They are still the poorest Nigerians What did the SW gain under Obsanjo? They are next in the poverty line in Nigeria. What is the SS gaining under Jonathan? Nothing tangible. What will an Igbo president do for Igbos? Even if Igbos were to produce the presidency, it is not with folks like Kalu. Not when Soludo, Nnaji, Nnamani, Ezekwesili, Okonjo Iweala and other top-notch Igbos are there. |
Okadigbo Enwerem Nwagbara Anyim Nnamani 5 Senate presidents for 8 years 8/5 = 1.6 Patricia Etteh Bankole Dimeji 2 House Speakers for 2 years 2/2 = 1 What is the earth-shaking difference between 1 and 1.6? Keep in mind Okadigbo was specifically removed by a Yoruba man, Obasanjo, and that Yoruba lost the current speakership under Jonathan because ACN and SW PDP could not agree. |
Toktee: You are too myopic and timid to understandWhat system does Yoruba control? Even when Obasanjo was president what did the yoruba contribute in making him the president? Did Falae the ''true'' Yoruba candidate voted for by Yorubas win? You control the system, yet Abiola was denied his presidency? You are very laughable. |
Toktee: How many senate president do we have in 8yrs under igbo? How many House speakers did we have during Yaradua's tenure (just 2 years) under Yoruba? |
Toktee: I cannot insult you on a social network,my advice for you is that you should go back to school,ok the people you mention above were yorubas and that same year a yoruba man won the election...,is+that the reason why the entire esterners contest in 2003 but loose, igbo people have a bad motive on why they want to b there, and they will never be thereAgain: You are an i.d.i.o.t. In 2003, Olusegun Obasanjo, Sarah Jubril, Abayomi Ferreira, Gani Fawehinmi, Moji Obasanjo, Tunji Braitwaite (spelling?) and Olapade Agoro, all Yorubas, contested against each other. Pray tell, what motive does a Yoruba have to rule? Obasanjo ruled for 8 years, what did he achieve? |
Babaji111: MUST?! Then who will take care of our palmwines and akpu? Abeg, once bitten twice shy. 2015 is forWhat system do you control? |
In 2007, Yaradua, Buhari, Bafarawa, Habu Fari and Atiku, all Fulani, contested against each other. Only in Nigeria (especially amongst the Yorobbers) do people see such political contest of kinsman against kinsman as a problem. This is one reason Yoruba don't ever vote for people of other ethnicities. They prefer a Yoruba monkey to an Igbo/hausa/Ijaw human being. |
Toktee: When obasanjo and olu falae were contesting hw many yorubas were there apart frm the two above, but evry igbo man want to be president,in 2003,ekweme,rochas,ojukwu,ike uwanckukwu, and the host of others all wanted to made it to aso rock, untill igbo are united and speak one voice, they cannot enter aso rockYou are an i.d.i.o.t. In 2003, Olusegun Obasanjo, Sarah Jubril, Abayomi Ferreira, Gani Fawehinmi, Moji Obasanjo, Tunji Braitwaite (spelling?) and Olapade Agoro, all Yorubas, contested against each other. This happened when Obasanjo's presidency was in trouble from Atiku, a northerner. |
acidtalk: You want me to tell you your own history again? This is one of the stupidest analysis I have read here on a stupid website. How are Igbos worse than Yorobbers? Who battled Awo for the premiership of the SW with support from the North? Ladoke Akintola Who declared that Awo did not win the election (when there seems to be evidence that he did), thereby handing the presidency to a northerner? A Yoruba man Who stopped Abiola from becoming president? Yoruba Obas who went to Abacha, sold their brother and collected brown envelopes Who is stopping Mimiko from completing his term? ACN, another Yoruba group Who stopped Yoruba PDP from producing the Speaker of the House last year? Yoruba ACN Who killed Bola Ige, Funso Williams, Daramola and other Yoruba politicians? Fellow Yoruba, with Tinubu being culpable in the case of Funso Who Killed Fela's mother? Obasanjo Who insulted Obasanjo in Public? Fayose Which president seized federal funds belonging to Lagos State? Obasanjo Which Governor fought a minister in public? Gbenga Daniel vs. Iyabo Obasanjo? If a Yoruba was a CBN Governor, Erastus Akingbola by far the most corrupt Bank CEO produced in Nigeria would be walking free today. That is why you were surprised that Savanna Bank (an Igbo owned Bank) that was involved in shady practices was not left to continue doing business as usual by an Igbo CBN head (Soludo) One Igbo man may work against his rival to take a position (selfish, yes) but not expected as it happens world over. But Yorobbers work against each other as groups (more deadly strategy) ACN working against PDP and vice versa Oyo (instigated by Akintola) hating Ijebu (Awolowo group) like shytte. Today, ACN does not see eye to eye with HID Awolowo and her group. Still surprised Tinubu has not sent his thugs to kill the old woman Can you remind us what wetie, wetie was all about? Can you remind is what the Yoruba wars, Kiriji, of the last centuries were all about? Why do Yoruba of different groups have different tribal marks on their faces? How many times did we change House speakership during Yaradua's time (2 years) when Yorubas were in charge as speakers? Patricia Etteh versus Bankole? |
Another of the 100s of evidence to show that kidnapping occurs everywhere in Nigeria. This one is in Yoruba land. |
