I like to think of it as God's mercies/favour plus due diligence on my part in actually doing what is required, more than luck.
Being a single woman without a means of livelihood or source of income hurts more than it helps, because wetin married men go wan do you eehhnn.
I think God sees that and just makes a way out for me. No one receives anything unless God gives it from heaven (I think that's in the book of John) and I would rather choose a path He can bless, which is applying and interviewing, than paying a bribe and cutting corners or spreading my legs.

I understand you, there are pre-marital counselors (Christians) who are well rounded and don't counsel ONLY from a biblical perspective.The Bible is the core foundation for them, but they also bring their practical/real life experiences to the table.

I have heard that when counselors at the Family Worship Center, Abuja counsel intending couples it is intense, interactive, engaging and so insightful, that some couples end up breaking off their engagement, because they realize how incompatible they are during the process.

If you ask me, those counselors do a great job of rescuing two incompatible people from a lifetime of pain and misery.

But some people will disagree on the basis that if people want to marry we should just give them our blessings and let them carry on with it, after all marriage (of any kind) is better than no marriage at all.
