----for your information, Muslims don't bury corpses in mat or coffin! what you see there is a carrier that we use to lift the dead body to the graveyard. And because the carrier is made from flat metal, or sometimes the carrier is made from dry bamboo tree and the mat is placed under the carrier before the body is taken to the grave.
