Dauphine: Not just PEI, even people in Brampton. But as I observed Indians are the ones protesting and asking for extended stay. And I totally agree with you, there are no guarantees Nigerians do not typically protest, but many Nigerian students in Canada are now seeking asylum due to the lack of a clear route to permanent residency and their inability to pay the high tuition fees |

Honora24: You are right. It’s not compulsory to share. I only shared because timelines shared by others were a big source of encouragement to me and I was only looking to encourage others. Certainly, sharing information is not obligatory, but it is morally reprehensible to spread fabricated tales of success that favor deceitful visa agents and disadvantage innocent applicants. You clearly stated that your application was "can plus," and we all understand English. Additionally, I work in the oil and gas company sector too and the company never guarantee anyone's return unless it is an official assignment for visa application. they only issue a letter of identification that includes one's work and position. Nevertheless, people on social media should be vigilant about the veracity of the information they believe. This is because I have observed an agent using a screenshot of your testimony today to falsely encourage their clients with a purported recent success story of obtaining a Canadian visa without travel history and after a U.S. visa denial, even though many have been rejected. |

ednut1: the sudden increase in approval rates for visitors visa last year seemed to coincide with the closure of roxham road crossing from USA to Canada. They knew what they were doing.
There are people benefiting from the asylum claims industry like hotels, lawyers ( who charge as much as 1k dollars to fill form) , charities etc. these people are highly connected with government and politicians. 😁 The lawyer said the same thing. But in the end, the asylum seeker is left at the mercy of the lawyer and the court system after hearing fails because appeals are paid out of pocket. As a result, the majority will be deported since very few applications will be approved, especially with the upcoming reforms likely proposing a faster deportation process with the federal election ahead. |

NuCypher: Sadly, there are people who had the exact same profile as that applicant, with all the travel history, a lot of dollar pof and marriage ties, but who still went to Canada to claim asylum. It's terrible. I saw a couple last week who were doing very well in Nigeria with the wife working at Glo earning well, but who still claimed asylum on landing. There was one too working at 7up. These are the people who have made getting a Canadian visit visa hard for people like this applicant. The VOs don't believe Nigerians anymore. You are right because an old classmate I recently reconnected with, who is now a lawyer in Canada, told me that the recent surge in refusal rates for visitor visas has been attributed to the persistent abuse of this stream by individuals. It is concerning to note that as many as 8 out of 10 Nigerians who obtain a visitor visa end up making fake asylum claims as homosexuals, which understandably results in a high refusal rate. This trend has also created complexities in the asylum process and contributed to an increase in rejections at asylum case hearings and surely Canada planning some reform soon to his asylum process just like UK, Ireland and Germany |

Eriokanmi: Good morning everyone. Please if you submitted your application last November or earlier and you've not heard from the IRCC till now, kindly send them a mail, asking for your application's update. My technician who will be travelling with me for a training just received his PPR this morning. I wish all those waiting best of luck and divine favour in the sight of VOs handling their apps.
By the way,DIY is the best way. I've read a moniker's message, which looks like a scam to me. I needn't respond because some peeps have done that already. STOP PATRONISING AGENTS!!! The main issue is that 99% of Nigerians who use an agent initially intend to misuse their tourist visa by overstaying or seeking asylum or thinking it easy to settle in Canada with a tourist visa . This is simply the reality and fact of the matter. I cannot comprehend why a rational person would pay over 3 million just to apply for a visa to visit a location. |
