Hello everyone, guess y'all are doing great? At first this is my statement "I don't think I'd involve myself in importation stuff cos it's an insecure business". Now this is my statement "importation is a nice way to have that extra income". It's now something I do nearly every week. I'm not an e-book kinda guy as MOST of those e-book sellers doesn't practice what they preach but the pioneers of this thread El matteo, surveycash, chemashie n the rest, made me see things in a different way. I've been following this thread right from time, long before I signed up here. Thanks to y'all for all your contributions There are some things I've noticed and feel I should drop here for the benefit of some persons, if not everyone. Lest I forget; pls, I'm still a learner but whatever I drop here are things that I've done and they worked but I stand to be corrected, if you feel I'm wrong in any way, only if you know better. (1) When making a search for a particular product, it's the "keyword" that matters. Often times, they make suggestions for you when you're typing but in a case where they didn't suggest exactly what you're looking for. Just type the keyword. You don't need to speak big grammar to search for anything, you're not publishing a book. Just write **wristwatch men freeshipping** or **jewelry sets DHL freeshippinng** or **cheap powerbank 1200mah** and you'd see the results. (2) Some persons don't know about deals and sales on aliexpress. Prices of some products are slashed by 10%, 20%, 50% or more, thereby making it cheaper for someone to purchase. Last weekend, there was a deal on aliexpress and I saw some watches that was sold originally for $60, was slashed by 50% and some other products, by 65%. When goods like theses are bought in low prices, your rate of income would increase. You could easily buy some items which you could not buy normally because "deal" or "sales" is on. That's an advantage to a business minded person You can also find out if deals and sales is currently on by typing "deals" or "sales" on the search bar (Please you could type them differently or together but without the inverted comma). You'd get results of the products that's on deals/sales (3) Do you know that some products on aliexpress are tagged buy 1, get 1 free? I've seen and bought some stuffs on aliexpress like that, especially wristwatches. Though they'd be kinda expensive to some persons but it's worth it. There are some other cheaper products you could have in that buy 1 get 1 free category. Some are buy 2, get 1 free, some others are buy 3, get 1 free, some also are buy 1, get 2 free and so on. Type in the search bar just the keyword "wristwatch buy 1 get 1 free" and you'd see a lot of results. Just place the product u want in place of wristwatch like "necklace buy 1 get 2 free" or "jewelry sets buy 1 get one free" and so on and forth. That's all for now but in the course of buying from aliexpress and other shopping sites, I'd keep dropping some new findings here. The market is big enough to accommodate all of us, so passing out info won't hurt. Oooops! I've written a lot in just a single post. I'm very sorry. Do have a nice time |
Cashkhiid: THANKS PLS IS IT TRUE THAT ANY ITEM WITH BATTERY CANNOT BE SHIPPED EXCEPT THROUGH THE USE OF CVM?Some still ship, while some don't. Bought a powerbank 3days ago and was shipped via singapore post yesterday. It all depends on the shipping company the seller's using and like someone rightly said, you could convince your seller to use the ones dat still ships but often times, they rarely agree. |
maxibrainz: so sellers on aliexpress still ship power banks through all this free shiping methods, maybe am not meeting the right ones because all that i met told me the dont ship power banks through all those free shiping methods to Nigeria, maybe i didnt search well can you help me the link of that seller my email is maxibrainz55@gmail.com tanxLink sent to your mail already. Have a nice time |
maxibrainz: so sellers on aliexpress still ship power banks through all this free shiping methods, maybe am not meeting the right ones because all that i met told me the dont ship power banks through all those free shiping methods to Nigeria, maybe i didnt search well can you help me the link of that seller my email is maxibrainz55@gmail.com tanxlike I said, I've not bought powerbank on aliex or alibaba, this my first time. Don't have experience in that field and can't guarantee what the seller would sell to you, mine's still on the way, haven't gotten it yet to know if it's actually what I demanded for (12000mah). But it would be my pleasure to send you the link if you insist. Right now, I'm on mobile, let me see if I could send it to you right away but if it doesn't work, I'd send it to your mail box unfailingly dis evening. Hope that's ok? |
It's 105 dollars on that page with free shipping. So, what's the difference?
The difference is choice. Until a better(cheaper) offer is gotten on aliex or alibaba, I think I prefer buying it here, if not for anything but to save myself the stress, since there isn't any much difference. My opinion |
maxibrainz: which shiping method did you useFree shipping (Singapore post). Checked the product last night and noticed that the seller had already shipped it, she told me she'd do that on monday but did it earlier than promised. All to my advantage |
9free: Watch all DsTV channels......A friend of mine bought something like this and it works wella. He said he recharges 100 naira per month. He bought it from a dealer for 20k(installation included). I didn't really take it seriously cos I felt it would be blocked anytime soon but up till dis moment, it's still working well. |
Asked for assistance here about powerbanks, but no one replied. Maybe you guys were busy. Had to take d bull by d horn to do some personal research on powerbanks. saw a supplier, chatted with her concisely and told her I've bought some previously from a seller bt they didn't meet expectation, that's exactly the reason I'm searching for another seller. She assured me that her product is exactly what I'm looking for (12000mah). Told her that I'd make a single order which will serve as a sample and she said no problem. I still didn't pay d price I saw on her page, told her to reduce it, we agreed on a price, she changed it on her page and I made payment. The stuff is on processing. She said she'd ship my stuff on monday. If she gives me anything lesser than what I demanded for, it doesn't matter(all na experience), but if it's d real tin, I'd definitely go for a bulk purchase. I got some customers waiting for it. Please, don't always wait for people to send you links, go get the experience yourself, you might get a better offer from a reputable seller and don't forget that those people you're demanding links from, were once like you. |

Hello everyone. Some friends demanded for powerbanks 12000mah. Did some search on aliex n alibaba, saw some but you know when it comes to things like powerbanks, a seller could give you something different from what you paid for, a lower spec. Infact, d main issue is that I've not imported powerbanks before but I've used it quite a numbr of times Pls, does anyone have a link of a reputable seller on aliexpress or alibaba that I could get the main spec (12000mah) powerbanks from and which means of shipping is advisable especially now dat stuffs with battery usually get some issues with shipping? Thx in anticipation |
Knew money would be involved at the tale end. Stop sounding like you're doing Nigerians a favour, you're only helping yourself. @Nairalanders, kindly go through "do it yourself importation" thread, season 1 and 2, as all you need to know about mini importation has already been dealt with and you'd be so glad u did. It's alsolutely free |
dollarlander: But why can't he stop the oil bunkering in the NDelta. I think he is involved.Quite a funny comment. |
debbleopto: see your wisdom (ignorance ) . you don't know what is called CGPA. Jonathan is already scoring 29% in 100 - 300 level. it will affect his final CGPA.Mr intellectual of CGPA, go ahead and explain to me what it means. Would have talked more about what you brought up now but I don't want to indulge in a conversation with someone that thinks all there is to life is insults. Incase of next time, try to make your points without calling someone names. A billion tins is ringing in my head right now to pass accross to you but I won't. As Insult is always my last resort. Pls stay away |

TAILAS01: Oya educate us...list his achievements...Scroll back, you'd see quite a number of achievements some persons have dropped already. He doesn't have to state them again and even if he does, sentiments won't make you see it. There's no intelligence in comparing GEJ who has been in power for just 3yrs and OBJ who ruled for 8yrs (2 tenures). Pls lets not be in a hurry to judge, when GEJ is done with his tenures, which probably would end by 2019, then you guys can start the comparation debate (I bet you won't have the Guts to do that cos d difference will b crystal clear in favour of GEJ). Keep up d good work Pres. GEJ. |
Tonjeola1: VISA DEBT CARDThought as much. Would let u know when I'm done with it. Thanks for your prompt reply. Do hv a nice day |
Opiosko: Ok, thanks sire, we are all learning.Yeah we all are. Hv a nice day bro |
Tonjeola1: thank uAnytime my guy. |
Opiosko: Your point was that Access does not require a token like Gtb, by that you were implying that d 'token' is a liability instead of an added advantage for online transaction security. As for acceptance, it's only sites like ebay, clickbank ...etc that does not do business with Nigerians that declines it. #PeaceBro, u got a point about the token stuff security wise but if you've read through season 1 and 2 of "Do it yourself Importation thread" you'd see complains of some peeps there about the said card, not to talk of UBA africard. So far, there has been no negative comment about the Access Visa(like I said b4, that doesn't mean it is the best), that's why I'm going for it and for d fact dat my Africard suck. U too much 4 ur explanation, thumbs up. |
Opiosko: Thanks man. You're welcome my guy |

Good evening. Went for the Access bank account today and noticed something. There are quite a number of Visa cards in the application form, about 3 of dem. (1) Visa debit card (2) Visa prepaid card, and (3) Visa credit card Was thinking of ticking the Visa debit card but wasn't too sure of it and the customer care lady said she isn't conversant with the one that works better in terms of online purchases. Pls which of 'em should I tick? |
Tonjeola1:

I think it's different strokes for different folks. All the cards have one complain or the other, none is the best. Stick to what works for you |
biafranqueen: Yes you are absolutely right and I will use your idea about using two of the companies in the US to spy. My biggest goal is to procure what importers need beyond the websites like we do the car parts. I am waiting on rates for bulk shipments to FED EX and DSL and also Delta Airlines Air Cargo. Like you mentioned I have to really figure out my niche and research well. This is a whole different thing from Ocean Cargo.Just a lil more research/spying and you won't regret you did. Wish ya success |
