I'd say you got a nice plan but from your post, it seems you've not decided on what to do yet. There are quite a number of companies and individuals doing this business, I think you should spy on their services, modify it and start yours. As per the payment method, you have to choose the one that would be convenient for u, the one you could get a quick access to. Paypal is off the line(I stand to be corrected).

Paying into a Nigerian bank account is the most common means of payment here when using a third party. Mastercards/Visa cards of any Nigerian bank is also a good means of payment.

Like I said before, nice idea u got but u still have to do more research on this line of biz so as for your services to be a reliable one. No one would like to see his/her money/goods hanging for too long, as Time is of great essence when doing business. Hope this helps

Nice thread you got here, thanks to Dr Isa and some other peeps that contributed immensely to this thread. I'm an agric graduate, a Fishery Society of Nigeria(FISON) member and in the course of my study, I had working experiences in my skool farm and some other Federal govt. Established research centres around the country.

National institute for freshwater fisheries research(N.I.F.F.R), new bussa, Niger state. We had concise practicals on rearing of somespecies of fresh water fishes and ofcourse, spawning.

National institute for Oceanography and marine research (N.I.O.M.R), Victoria Island Lagos. We learnt how to rear shrimps amd lobsters.

Finally; Africa Regional Aquaculture centre (A.R.A.C), Aluu, Port harcourt. Did another concise practicals on fisheries, heliculture, pigery, pineapple farming and some others.

Sorry for the long write up but I'm trying to make some points. Sometimes you really don't need ebooks for some animals, what Dr Isa and someothers have dropped here is enough for you to start something on your own with the exemption on fisheries, don't jump into fisheries without a practical knowledge on it cos you'd be so disappointed.

Rabbit rearing, snailry, poultry farming, grasscutter, goats, ram, pigery and other livestocks could be managed by someone that got little knowledge about them.

Personally, I've reared rabbits on my own,on a small scale, without no knowledge about it, even b4 I got an admission into the uni. Bought just a male and 2 females and as a novice, I kept them 2gether. After sometime, one of the female got pregnant and gave birth. Common sense told me to separate d other two from the one that gave birth and I did just that. It worked perfectly. From there I started having experiences on my own, on how to handle them, the food they love most and some other lil stuff.

I went into poultry, bought some day old cockerels, broilers, layers and turkey(not day old). Reared them on different cages. To cut d long story short, I got some experiences in that line also. Got to understand that turkey tends to be more vulnerable to illness and as a novice,I poured tetracycline capsule(red n yellow capsule) in their drinkin water(laughing) and they got fine. Whenevr it happens, that what I do and it works fine even wit broilers but cockerel and layers, tend to be stronger (my experience, yours may be different)

My point, try somethings yourself, don't wait for someone to do everything 4 u, do some research yourself, everyone started as a novice. Some people's experiences might be different from yours and don't go into Agriculture just because a friend of yours ventures into it or because you heard there's cash in it. Do it because you love it.

Currently, for now I'm not into agric cos I'm workin wit a company, need to sort for capital to venture into it again but dis time, on a large scale kind of cos I've gotten d experience and I've read some articles to add up to my knowledge. I'd go into poultry farming, rabbits, grasscutters (though in a small scale cos I need to have experience on that also), snail, fisheries(integrated culture system) and by God's grace, with time, I'd expand to goats, ram, cow and pigs

Advice: for starters, pls if you don't have another means of income, don't venture into fisheries nor poultry farming. You could rear grasscutters, rabbit, snails goats and rams with little or no capital in feeding them. Elephant grass is everywhere,wasted cabbage peels is in the market, go collect dem and free foods that they like. So on so on so on

As for those that would love to go into fisheries, for fingerling production in order to rear or for sales. I'd post how to go about it here pretty soon. It's called induced spawning/propagation.

As for those goin into snailry, covering your hutch with net and maybe wood wouldn't protect your snails from some predators. Snails have quite a number of enemies, ants, centipede, milipede and some other insects. I'd drop what you can do here to check those predators from entering into your hutches. Net could prevent centipede and milipede but not ants. Would drop how to prevent ants later

For jewelries, free shipping isn't a bad idea. As for other ways, there's DHL, EMS, UPS, fedex and some others but they're quite on the high side cos they're fast. You can go for any of them if u culd afford their services.

I'd like to say something about those above links. Could see that those jewelries are Gold plated and I don't advice anyone to go for such cos that's the lowest level of gold. When worn, within a short time frame, it tends to tarnish, wash, rob off and it turns colour which would eventually turn the skin green. I'd advice you to go for gold filled jewelries cos they're second to solid gold itself by far more better than gold plated. Well, I'd write a lil more on Solid gold, gold filled and gold plated tomorrow, it's quite late. If you could shop on aliexpress, doing same at alibaba won't be an itch. They got almost thesame functions but alibaba is mostly for manufacturers, while aliexpress is for sellers though some manufacturers in alibaba also list their products for sale on aliexpress. Escrow payment is also applicable on alibaba, so guy no cause for alarm. If the seller does not meet up with his own side of the bargain, your money will be refunded to you. Chat with the maufacturer/supplier to make sure they give you exactly what you demanded for. Hope this helps

I imported some memory cards(8 n 16gb micro sd) and some hair accessories for my babe from aliexpress and received them here in Warri.pretty soon, I'd go into importation of tablets of different sizes and some other stuffs. I've already chatted with some tab manufacturers on alibaba and we've come to an agreement of price, told 'em to chill that when I'm ready, I'd hail dem and they said aiit. It's really not as difficult as it seem, if only you follow the guidelines and precedures. (1) view d sellers feedbacks. 95% is fair enough for me, to be on a safer side but it doesn't mean that 50, 60, 70 or 80% wouldn't work for you. All the sellers on aliex and alibaba started from somewhere. (2) check if he's a gold supplier and for how long has he been on the business. To me 3-5yrs isn't a bad at all. One year could also work for u(3) I make sure I look for a supplier that uses Escrow mode of payment. All dose their western union and T/T mode of payment nor b my biz (4) be sure 2 read d product details well and more importantly, chat wit d supplier so as to know the exact product you're buying. Tell him dat if d product doesn't meet your requirement or if it happened that what you guys agreed on is not what he sent, you'd return it or you'd drop him a very bad feed back. No seller wants to hear that. He/she would do evry to satisfy you. Those guidelines worked for me and I believe they'd also work for you. Moreso, try to do some research yourself, sign up on aliexpress or alibaba and search for your desired products, try to chat with the supplier, if it doesn't meet your requirement or maybe your power nor reach the price, move ahead. There are thousands of suppliers/sellers you could contact and they'd drop info for u. There are other sites you could buy from but let's deal with alibaba and aliexpress first for new bees like me to learn more **wink**.
