Men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested a herbalist identified as Samson Ogundele, a resident of Referefu area of Oja odan, for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of a young girl (name withheld) who came to his house on consultation. 

The suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Oja odan divisional headquarters by the victim, who reported that she is a hairdressing apprentice and that a sum of one thousand naira got missing in their shop which made all the nine apprentices in the shop consult the herbalist to know who stole the money amongst them.

On getting to the herbalist, he started calling them into a room one after the other after collecting N700 from them. 

The complainant stated further that the first and second persons entered and came out, and when it was her turn, she entered and the herbalist tried to rape her. 

Upon her complaint, the DPO Oja odan division, CSP Gabriel Ikechukwu, detailed his detectives to go after the suspect and he was arrested. 

It was while interrogating him that one of the girls who is 17 years old confessed that the herbalist had already had carnal knowledge of her when she met him at the consulting room. She stated further that the herbalist threatened that she will died if she inform anybody. 

The victim was immediately taken to General Hospital Oja Odan where the Doctor on duty confirmed that the girl has been defiled. 

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the herbalist himself has confessed to the commission of the crime. 

He added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has directed that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and diligent prosecution.

A Nigerian Army Staff Sergeant, Bulama Salish from 232 Battalion, attached to 23 Brigade SP BN in the Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State, has been arrested for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl (name withheld).

The victim is said to be the daughter of Mallam Abubakar who resides in the state.

According to a report, it was disclosed in a memo on the situation report on a rape case.

The Staff Sergeant, Bulama Salish with 97NA/45/7383 is said to have been apprehended and locked up in 23 Brigade SP BN custody for further action.

The memo reads, “SPECIAL SITREP. SITREP AS OF 181800A JULY 2022. RAPE CASE,97NA/45/7383 SSGT BULAMA SALISU FRM 232BN ATTACHED TO 23BDE SP BN MAIHA, RAPED ONE (NAME WITHHELD) 4YRS OLD, DAUTHER TO ONE MALLAM ABUBAKAR.

“SNCO HAS BEEN APPREHENDED ND LOCKED UP IN 23BDE SP BN CUSTODY FR FURTHER ACTION, PLS ACK//”

A soldier, Corporal Aliyu Yakubu was dismissed from the Nigerian Army and sentenced to five years imprisonment for rape and assault by a court martial in Maiduguri in 2020.

He was tried by the Nigerian Army 7 Division Court Martial, Operation Lafiya Dole, for raping a minor (a 15-year-old girl) at an uncompleted building behind a prison yard in Bama, Borno State, on July 1, 2018.

The soldier was serving with 202 Tank Battalion in the counter-insurgency operations in the Northeast.

A middle-aged man, identified as Onyedika Ezennaya has been forced to kiss and eat raw meat of a dead sheep in Anambra State, after having allegedly committed bestiality (had a sexual intercourse) with another sheep.

According to a video trending on the social media, the incident happened in Okpo Village in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of the state. The video also shows the villagers forcing the suspect to kiss the dead sheep right inside the bush where he allegedly committed the act.

It was gathered from a masculine voice in the background of the video, that the suspect, Mr. Ezennaya, had enjoyed a hot marathon sex with a sheep (an ewe) in the bush, after which he strangulated and fractured a lamb (the younger one) of that sheep and spared the mother.

“He raped a mother sheep, and after that, he killed her lamb and fractured her bones. What a wickedness and abominable act!” the voice said.

The villagers, while condemning the act as a spiteful taboo in the land, were also seen beating the suspect as they forced him to eat the raw meat of the murdered sheep.

When contacted for his reaction, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu advised the people to take the suspect to the nearest police station, as jungle justice is never the best option whenever a suspect is apprehended.

An anaesthetist who allegedly raped a pregnant woman during a C-section may have carried out attacks on two more mothers on the same day.

Giovanni Quintella Bezerra, 32, was arrested on suspicion of rape after he was allegedly secretly filmed orally raping a woman after he heavily sedated her at the Hospital da Mulher in São João de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro.
The woman's husband was told to leave the room without being able to see his newborn baby, and only found out about what had happened to his wife when he recognised the doctor on television after his arrest.

'I've never seen anything like it,' said delegate Barbara Lomba, who is in charge of investigating the case.

The woman told family she thought she was having an hallucination at the time of the attack.

Mr Bezerra only completed his medical training in anaesthesia two months ago.

Hospital staff were reportedly worried about the amount of drugs he was giving to his patients so fitted a secret camera to see what he was up to.

They were horrified to see him sexually assaulting the woman as other doctors performed the C-section on her less than a yard away behind a surgical curtain.

He reportedly assaulted her for almost ten minutes.

But staff members who recorded the rape said the doctor had already carried out two similar procedures that day, with police investigating whether those two women were also victims of attack.

In the second operation on Sunday, employees said Giovanni 'wore an open cloak on himself, widening his silhouette, and positioned himself in a way that also prevented anyone from seeing the patient from the neck up.'

In most C-sections the woman is not fully sedated during the procedure, but the women who went under the knife earlier in the day said they were fully unconscious during the procedure.

'The only thing I remember from the surgery is his voice. He kept talking softly in my ear, it bothered me,' said one of the patients. 'He asked if I was okay.'

Two other people who said they were also Bezerra's patients have arrived at the police station in Brazil since the accusations came to light.
'Giovanni, still positioned towards the patient's neck and head, started, with his left arm bent, slow movements back and forth ,' said the witness, according to G1 Rio de Janeiro.

'From the movement and the curvature of the arm, it looked like he was holding the patient’s head towards his pelvic region.'

Staff members became suspicious as the doctor would use so much anaesthetic that the mothers would be unable to hold their babies after delivering.

Clovis Bersot Munhoz, president of Cremerj Clovis Bersot Munhoz said the alleged attack was 'absurd'.

The Health Foundation of the State of Rio de Janeiro and the Secretary of State for Health said: 'We inform you that an internal investigation will be opened to take administrative measures.

'The Hospital da Mulher team is providing full support to the victim and her family.

'This behaviour constitutes a crime, which must be punished in accordance with the legislation in force.'

Police praised hospital workers for taking action and recording the crime.

The custody hearing of the doctor was held on Tuesday. He was earlier transferred to the prison of Benfica.

He is facing charges of rape with a prison sentence ranging from 8 to 15 years in Brazil.

A Lady Reportedly dropped the child she shares with her ex-boyfriend in an offering bowl during his church wedding to another woman in Akwa Ibom State, Reports.

Facebook User, Ofonime Honest said this occurred during the wedding ceremony of Mr and Mrs Sampson Etim Usanga at Nkari in Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

He also identified the groom's ex-girlfriend as Comfort Solomon. He Wrote;

Angry Mob on Monday, July 4, set two suspected ritualists ablaze for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl to death in Ede-Oballa, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

A Source from the community told NewsMen that the girl, who was the daughter of one late Philip Ugwu of Umuidu, went missing few days ago and was later found dead in a nearby bush with her eyes, breast and private parts removed.

"The girl who was about 10 years old was initially declared missing and the next day she was found dead with her body badly mutilated," the Source Narrated.

“Her eyes was plugged out, her private parts were cut off and taken away by the suspected ritualists.

"Angered by the development, the elders and youths in the community went out of their way in search of what happened to the little girl.

"Along the line it was discovered that some members of the community has hand in the killing of the little girl, two person was arrested by the member of the neighborhood watch, but the angry mob overpowered them from handing them over to the police and set the ablaze,"

The Source identified the suspects simply as Ifeanyi, a Native Doctor and Chidera noted that they are both from the community, stressing that they might have killed the girl and removed her body parts for money ritual.

“They Confessed to the crime and pleaded for forgiveness but these any mob were adamant,” he added.

Another Eyewitness from the community told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the incident had thrown the community into sorrow.

"The natives of the town have been worried that ritualists have entered the community. Only ritualists will rape a girl to death and remove her vital organs for their evil acts," the witness narrated.

"That was why when residents heard that the perpetrators of the dastardly act had been arrested by the Neighbourhood Watch, everybody rushed to its office. The crowd overpowered the security men and grabbed the two ritualists that killed the girl and set them on fire and watched them burn to death.

“It was the intention of the security men to take the suspects to the police but they were overpowered by the mob,” the eyewitness said.

The President-General and Councillor representing the community, Messrs Val Omeje and Hyginus Ogbu, respectively, confirmed the incident.

They also confirmed that the suspects hailed from the community.

Meanwhile, Graphic Videos of the mob action and that of the confession made by one of the suspects before he was set ablaze are making the round on Facebook.

The Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command has arrested three members of the Eiye confraternity for raping and forcefully initiating a young girl into their cult group.

The spokesman for the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement on Sunday.

He explained that the trio of Daniel Njoku a.k.a Agege, Damilare Ogundiran, and Adebayo Olamilekan, who were arrested last Thursday initiated the victim into the group and then gang-raped her.

Their arrest, Oyeyemi stated, following a report lodged at the Ajuwon Divisional Police Headquarters by the victim's mother.

“She sent her 15-year-old daughter on an errand at Akute Odo area but (she) was waylaid on the road by Daniel Njoku, who forcefully took her to his gang at their hideout where the young girl was gang-raped, beaten, and forcefully initiated into Eiye cult group,” he stated.

“The complainant further explained that her daughter was threatened by the suspects that she would be killed if she dares to inform anybody about the incident. Upon the report, the DPO Ajuwon Division, SP Andrew Akinseye, detailed his detectives to go after the hoodlums.”

According to the command’s spokesman, the team, acting on credible intelligence located the hideout of the group in the Akute Odo area, stormed the place, and succeeded in arresting three members of the gang.

“The suspects have confessed to committing the crime,” he added. “They informed the police that they were desperately looking for more members to join their group, especially female members and that was what prompted them to do what they did.”

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Lanre Bankole, who condemned the incident ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Anti-Cultism Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
