The other day, the former minister of transport, Madueke of 3rd term, told us that the solution to our transportation problem in Nigeria is for everyone to own a bicycle . Imagine in this jet-age. The clown actually started by riding a bicycle to his office in Aso Rock as a way of leading by example. Nobody told him to jettison the idea after he fell off the bicycle on 2 or so occasion.
Seun, I can bet my 13th month salary that a lot of nigerians will commit crimes just to a room in any privately built prisons and also get a job at the same time.

If they want to create private universities, it should be done well, the envirionment should be no to any other universities (ie u shld allow kids to be kids) not saying its good for a child to smoke, but will u have a child smoke at 18 and then get rid of it in their 20s or would u marry a wife who smokes because she did not experiment in school.

I also would say, all facilities shld be provided, so if its computers ( i mean up to date softwares and machinery enough for the students) a possible ratio of 3:1 student and not 100:1.

Ok, let me get this straight. Last year, new notes were introduced to replace old ones. The notes were supposed to be polymer notes, but because the polymer notes were too expensive, we ended up with the same kind of notes we had before - just a different design - and we were forced to switch to the new, uglier paper notes.

Now, those same billions of notes that were almost too expensive to produce are going to be thrown away in a re-denomination exercise that has no effect on the value of the naira. Companies will have to spend trillions of naira updating their accounting systems and previous accounting statements to be compatible with this currency.

And for what reason? In order to convert former millionaires into ten-thousand-aires, change the price of pure water from 5 naira to 5 kobo, and change the salary of an average graduate from 40,000 naira to 400 naira. Ahem.

All the people who supported this idiotic government decision should be rounded up shipped to Ghana. My worst fears about Professor Charles Soludo have been confirmed. He is not qualified to be called an economist.
