av been trying to reach my contact in FIRS HQ ABUJA lately but hv been hitting a brick wall. most top staff who are concerned with recruitment exercise have decided to keep mum about it. only God knows if it will take anoda six weeks before names will be shortlisted. my advice is, ignore any thing u hear for now....the truth is that NOBODY KNOWS wats goin on. we are only speculating.......I hv a close relation with one of the human resource personnel but d truth is am not getting any info from her. they (firs staff) hav all sworn to secrecy. they wnt tell u anytin u want to hear. SO LETS ALL STAY FOCUS,
STOP FAKE NEWS, AND PRAY.

Nigerians and rumor. Information reaching from where? So you don't know that Tax Officer I and II are higher positions than Assistant Tax Manager.

Tax Officer II is Salary Grade Level 10

Tax Officer I is Salary Grade Level 09

Assistant Tax Manager is Salary Grade Level 08

Or you don't know what Salary Grade Level Means. Better go and take a look at the advert again.

am very sure wit dis your idea you hv already shortlisted your self out by applying for the wrong post.

for tax officers position....25-30 is the age bracket

information reaching now says that if you are 30years n above n u applied for tax officer i or ii........u might not be shortlisted.....as firs seeks ever means possible to cut down d numbers....for those who applied for managerial position.....35years is the maximum age limit.

from the info i gathered the cbt will be based on quantitative, verbal reasoning, english and maths......also a lil knowledge on tax would be of help too.

Why say that? I personally, met the requirements and even applied very early but still got the "unsuccessful application" mail.

dis becoming scary. was it sent to your email? try logging into the portal with ur username n password to be double sure. i just checked mine now, no such thing.
secondly was is your course of discipline? apart from the specified course in their advert they still consider other discipline that will be relevant to their work nature. so pls what did you study in sch?

yea! thats one part of it.

i guess they hv seen that the number of applicants are way too much so they decide to use any means possible to reduce this population........if not I dont see any other logical explanation to this.

The unsuccessful application mail is not limited to those who applied after the deadline. someone who applied on the first day and completed his application, got the mail and the reason given was" it was due to incomplete documentation".

hmmmm! thats wired...........when d person applied and submit did it not say "application successful"? was the person not given a referral number?
how come its now the person is getting such message?
hmmmm....that why I take it upon my self to LOG into their site every day to check my application status.

From my source, a human resource personnel in abuja: its been confirmed. it is 100% computer based assessment/test..........compilation list of successful candidate commences fully next week.....while invitation for CBT follows next(maybe that still same nxt week:not so sure abt dat).......words has it dat by NOVEMBER everything don set.

hmmmm! naija i hail una. every body just de hear one thing or the other from unreliable source for sure! you guys should all pray, think positive n stay focus. if the job is yours it is yours whether na 1000 or just two persons dem wan recruit.
