Yeah. I traded it with stock market mentality and got burnt.

Anyway since some people decide to hoard information, let me continue.

I remember in 2007 with marketiva, my first trade was with usdjpy. I bought it, it kept falling. I thought that buying even lower would mean more profits and so I kept buying as it went down and that was the first margin call I received. I kept adjusting my stoploss to avoid taking a loss and my account was blown.

Did you use a stoploss then? What made you buy it then, gut feeling or you analyzed it well?

In November 2021 - January 2022, it did from 1.9050 to 2.04xx

In February 2022 - March 2022, it did from 2.04xx to 1.89xx

In April 2022 - possibly June 2022, it's expected to do from 1.9000 to 2.04xx or atleast 2.02xx

The pair in question is GbpNzd.

It's expected to yield 2500 - 3500 plus pips in 2 months time.

Buying it next week.

I believe the swap should not take up to 200pips profits even at that.

That is why I want to research more to get the best pairs and setup.

There are some sweet swing trading opportunities I just discovered on some currency pairs. I will investigate it further before sharing. Stay tuned.

By swing opportunity I mean leaving it for 2 weeks to 2 months.

Stoploss could be 250 pips

Target 700 - 1000 pips thereabout.

Very true. We need to remind ourselves of this everyday not that we don't know already.

I increased my lotsize arbitrarily this week, something I knew never to do. Although I still ended up making profits but it took a good size of that profits so I stayed my hands for this week.

Next week I continue.
My primary goal is to preserve my capital, profits come second.

You have XauUsd (GoldDollar).

They are inversely proportional which means if Dollar is weak, Gold is Strong (Buy) but if Dollar is strong, Gold is Weak ( Sell).
