@fynestboi, shouldn't there be times for the judges to asses the debaters' responses to answers? I have noticed that, a times questions comes after the result is out.

This stage was meant to be just essay submission no question, nothing, but if the judges wish to engage the participant no problem. But the next stage is where the real debate will start. Don't miss it.

Bravo brother for meeting up, but your qualification is not strong yet, as a sole representation is not accepted, and such leads to disqualification, team with one representative so far, had their other rep disqualified for late timing, e. G Uniben and FUTMINNA, which I believe they will work more on that in the next stage, however you have the chance to provide atleast two rep for AAUA or........

Comment.

The debaters still haven't mastered the art of referencing, almost all the references used are online, those who quoted the Nigerian constitution, should reference/mention the section they quoted from, E.G. The 1999 Constitution Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria (as amended) Section 4, Subsection 2a and b.

Also, those who quoted books should have added the year and the date the book was publish as well as the publisher of the book. This gives credence to the author and publisher of the book. E.G. Appadorai. A (1975), The Substance Of Politics, Oxford University Press, Page 15. This include the Oxford Advance learners Dictionary, journals and other literary works.

Debaters did not paragraph their essays accordingly, essay writing follow a particular format, that is: introduction of the essay ( what you're writing) body of the essay ( your points) and conclusion ( the summing up and rounding up of your points) note that every point made is suppose to begin with a new paragraph, this will help the reader or marker articulate your points better and score you accordingly.

The use of punctuation marks was widely misuse by many of the debaters, as long you quote a person or any literary work, the work and the person you quoted is suppose to be in quotation mark, that is " ".

Well done to the debaters. You've made a believer of me.
