Thank you, CBN has one policy, if anyone reports that you collected money, either borrow or loan with proof and you defaulted they can sack you for that. That is why a man with 3m cash will prefer to borrow a CBN staff who is looking for 3m than someone else who's only looking for 1m.

Funny enough same policy applies in firs too, anybody can come and doubt. And then it is also an offense to lend someone money with interest too as a staff if it escalates ur job is on the line.

I hope u know there’s difference between taking loans to SURVIVE and taking a loan for investment. Moh99 is right when he said if u know where u are coming from u don’t need loans to SURVIVE as a member of firs staff. Emphasis on survival sir.

People not in the system will argue your salary with you as if they are the ones paying your salary.

At least 50% of public servants live on loans (including their almighty FIRS, NIMASA and even NUPRC). People take loans for different reasons; augment cost of living, property/automobile purchase, sponsoring wards abroad, financing a new business etc. Why do you think there are more finance companies springing up by the minute? You think they are there to service only Grade C and D federal employees?

People's lifestyle are determined by their level of income and a lot of us like to live a little bit beyond our means. Coupled with the current devaluation of our currency and rising inflation/cost of living, even 500k monthly is not enough income for anyone to boast they are not on loan.

While a National Gallery of Art staff may be managing public transport, a typical FIRS staff might think that it is unbefitting to be jumping public transport and will therefore take a car loan just to fit in to the lifestyle that supposedly "befits" a FIRS staff. An unemployed person will see the FIRS staff and presume they are doing far better.

A NIPOST staff may typically live on loan to survive the rising cost of living and other sundry expenses. A NUPRC staff may take loans to finance expensive private school tuition fee (that befits their wards), make down payment for several properties, start a lucrative business, etc. Because sometimes, the fact that you are well paid does not mean that you have cash to finance all your wants at the same time. The lifestyle/living cost of an NNPC staff will definitely differ from that of someone with NTA. The higher your income, the bigger your needs/wants/responsibilities.

In summary, loans are not a yardstick to determine the welfare structure of any organisation. However, FIRS staff are also not earning well enough to claim that a lot of their staff are not on loans. NIA pays far better than FIRS and I know a staff who is on loan.

Again, Mohisah, don't waste your energy trying to educate people who don't know how the system works. What percentage of FIRS staff can afford to rent a 2 bedroom in Guzape?

That formula has a shortcoming because if
New salary= old salary*1.33
And u were earning 52632 on lelev 6, your new salary will be 52632*1.33=70000.
So na u and the least worker in ur office go de collect the same salary now

How to calculate the new minimum wage

E.g If you're receiving N60k

To calculate the new salary based on the new minimum wage increase:

1. Find the percentage increase in the minimum wage:
(New minimum wage - Old minimum wage) / Old minimum wage = (N70,000 - N30,000) / N30,000 = 133.33% (or 1.3333 as a decimal)

2. Apply the percentage increase to your current salary:
Current salary x Percentage increase = N60,000 x 1.3333 = N80,000

Since your current salary (N60,000) is higher than the old minimum wage (N30,000), your new salary will be higher than the new minimum wage (N70,000). Therefore, your new salary would be N80,000.

However, if your current salary was below the old minimum wage, your new salary would be the new minimum wage (N70,000).

It doesn't work that way sir, be patient the govt will soon tell u the consequential adjustments based on GRADE LEVEL

Fire service announce yesterday that they will conclude their recruitment by August they already have their list the most painful thing is that they will shortlist people that doesn't have godfather to write CBT exam and shortlist them to travel on a long distance for physical screening after that they will call their people for appointment letter which Dy did last year recruitment into immigration and civil defence

Most people here have not heard about "safety engineering" and how lucrative it is here and especially abroad. Only a myopic engineering or science graduate will pick immigration over fire service because he or she heard there is bribe in immigration service. Fact is fire service has the best career prospect of all the agencies under interior for those with science background.

u should stop thinking is per annum sir. 150k-200k per annum means #12500-#16666 per month. The current minimum wage is #30000 per month. Obviously they are not meeting to reduce the minimum wage from 30k to 12.5-16.6k. Greetings brotherly.
