This is a welcome development, the Yorubas should be effectively and perpetually marginalized and schemed out, because they deserve worst things also. What did they achieve for their rotten Yoruba states during wasted years of the baboon called Obasanjorijohuhhuh Useless and woe tribe. They should step up the complaint, GEJ will as usual and as always mess them up. They forgot that Tinubo sold them out for a pot of 'ewodu', the same way their foolish leaders sold out abioala to the almajiris to be slaughtered.
What a great comment from a nonentity. I hope your father has stopped wailing now. I thought you are your father can single handedly return Jonathan na. But not, you have been on wailing spree since 2015 grin

I read this from page 1. What a wonderful thread. I saw envy and hatred of igbos towards yorubas in the first stage and I saw how the table turned on them on the same thread. Kudos to yorubas for leaving them to have their laugh at the beginning but end up wailing and gnashing teeth when the table turned. Igbos are hateful people. That why even among them, they segregate themselves as OSU and freeborn. Where Osus cannot eat, dine, marry or move with the freeborn. They can't even be friends to the freeborn. If they can do that to fellow igbos(osus), what can now makes it difficult for them not to do it for other tribes. They are slaves in the country.

Their land is landlocked. They are angry people.

They attached so much to others, eg SS and Israel.

They are not proud of themselves and who they are, they want to be recognized by Israel by force.

What a lovely thread.

River Niger ? Which one are you actually debating cos you are getting it all mixed up.

Anyway Igbo land has many access to the sea. Hope you know that igbo slaves that later found themselves in America did not move through that picture you posted.

------------------------------------------------------------
FACTS ON GROUND BY Vincent Erondu
'Without Ikwerre the hinterland Igbos have many access to the sea. Port Harcourt came to prominence as from 1913 because of the development of the sea port and the Eastern Railway line. During the oil Rivers trade and the slave trade era Port Harcourt was not a factor in those trades. The trade route was through Azumini River through Ohambele via Opobo to Bonny (Ubani). At Bonny commodities were loaded and shipped overseas. Another route in fact the ealier route was through Cross River Aro chukwu to Calabar. Aboh, Onitsha and Ugwuta were also important sea routes to Atlantic ocean. Ikwerre is not wanted by the Igbo for any specific thing or need. The issue is matter of historical distortion and revisionism.
Yeah, they moved through heaven. You people are just making unaself happy here on nairaland whereas, the fact is on ground. Your land is landlocked. Deal with the fact.

PoliticsRe: It’s A Lie: Igboland Is Not Landlocked By Aloy Ejimakor by Gabkosh: 9:27am On May 19, 2020
gwafaeziokwu:
Lesotho is bordered on all sides by land. Orange river pass through it upnorth into other south African cities. The orange river did not connect Lesotho directly to the ocean. I do not also want to talk about the distance because it is really outrageous. That is why it is called an enclave.

In our case, the Imo River, which originates from Umuaku in Isuochi of Umunneochi Local Government Area meandered its way up to Obeaku-Ndoki, from where it emptied itself into the Atlantic Ocean. It is very strategic to mention that the distance between Obeaku-Ndoki and the Atlantic Ocean, which commences not far from Igwenga in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State, is only twenty-five nautical miles. For the avoidance of doubt, any zone that enjoys a proximity of even thirty nautical miles to a maritime endowment such as the Atlantic Ocean, should not in any way categorize itself as being land-locked. For the benefit of those who do not know, Port-Harcourt wharf is about forty nautical miles to the Atlantic Ocean. It was dredged and scooped during the Premiership of Dr. M.I. Okpara during the defunct Eastern Region for ships to berth therein. If Port-Harcourt wharf could be made accessible to ships despite its fourty-nautical-mile distance to the Atlantic Ocean, it justifiably stands to reason that Obeaku-Ndoki Wharf, which is only twenty-five nautical miles to the Atlantic Ocean, could be more readily and profitably accessed by ships.
The bolded is laughable, can you show us here any where south east region have border with the ocean or sea like lagos, ondo and ogun state. Checking from North, south, east, west.

So this one is saying imo river did not pass through other cities before getting into the ocean. You people are trying o kikikiki
PoliticsRe: It’s A Lie: Igboland Is Not Landlocked By Aloy Ejimakor by Gabkosh: 9:17am On May 19, 2020
Unbiased1:
Question 1: Is the South-east geopolitical zone of Nigeria Landlocked?
Answer: Based on the definition of Landlock, then YES, the Southeast is Landlocked

Question 2: Does the Southeast have access to the ocean for import and export activities?
Answer: Yes

With Google maps, you can see that the smallest width of the river that links the Onitsha port to the Ocean through Bayelsa state does not go below 200 meters. The largest Container Ships available have a width/beam hovering between 55meters and 60 meters while the largest tankers have a width hovering between 60 meters and 70 meters. This means that 2 ships can sail side by side from the Atlantic Ocean, through Bayelsa state, to the Onitsha port. What is needed there is dredging of the waterway.

With google maps again, you can see that the smallest width within the Azumini river which connects Abia state to the Ocean is not smaller than 100 meters in width. In fact, if a seaport is to be built at the very tip the river enters Abia, that area has a width of over 250 meters. This Azumini river is also very close to the Ocean, even closer to the Ocean than the ports at Onne and Port Harcourt.

This analysis is just to point out that whether or not the South east is Landlocked due to not having a coastal line, the region surely has access to the sea through two rivers which can be dredged to enable medium sized ships sail into the region. The issue surrounding the sail of cargo to the east is that the water way passes through the South south region. The SE can actually get away with it by having an agreement with the SS people or with Nigeria ( if the SS remains part of Nigeria ) to enable ships pass through the waterway without hindrance.
You are patriotic. You are a truthful man. If Nigeria divides today. And the north central also go. They too will use the River Niger to get to the Sea. That is what we have been telling the dunderheads from Landlocked region of the Osu tasteless nsalarians o. But they are shouting and showing map of rivers connected to the sea as if we don't know before grin

Blackking98:
Landlocked means having no direct access to the sea without passing through rivers or other nations or states. So yes the SE or igbos are landlocked as they can't reach the Atlantic without using a river that passes through Akwa Ibom and Rivers (ogoni and ibibio) territories. With the right negotiations with the SS or Niger Delta republic they can make use of the river to do business.
That is what they don't want to accept o.
