We didnt want 5th columnists like Mulikat Akande

We also reject any Greek gift from Jonathan

The same Jonathan APC has won his Senatorial district.

I have never seen a more clueless president

Seems all former PDP presidents now have APC senators ruling their districts

See them.

You didn't want the post, you rather help your Gambari master( Tambuwal) have it, and left GEJ with egg on his face.
And you wonder why Igbos are angry that your elders came out crying for marginalization few years later, rather than hold Tinubu and ACN responsible?

Non of those positions are higher than the speaker of the house that PDP zoned to SW.

So the question is: Why did Tinubu and SW house members conspire to humiliate PDP and GEJ chosen candidate Mulikat, just to spite GEJ and Spin the story of marginalization later on?
If Tinubu could convince Tambuwal to dump PDP for APC, what made it impossible to convince Mulikat to do same, after they must have helped her become the Speaker first and foremost, and then help her decamp to APC fold?

If it's not because Tinubu and SW house members were eager to create an avenue with which they could justify their later campaign of mariginalization against GEJ?

Here.

Lol! You would like to link all your woes to Ndiigbo. It didn't start today, Akintola was same way, releasing public inciting audio messages where narratives are spinned and twisted on their heads to make Ndiigbo the villain.

Tinubu worked and moved quickly to destroy SW PDP and you lots all backed him.
Tinubu was willing to sacrifice a high ranked and influential post as the speaker of the house, just to kill SW PDP.
Yet you all supported and clapped for him.

But somehow, you still want to blame GEJ and Ndiigbo for Yoruba not handling Top position in GEJ government.

You want to eat your cake and have it.

As much as Ndiigbo hates APC, we are already hoping that APC zone the Senate presidency to SE ( OUK or Rochas, yes we know they are first timers), and also that it House of representatives speaker be zoned to SE( Nkiruka Onyejeocha), Incase the Senate presidency didn't materialize .
We are PDP zone, but we will never work against the emergence of those Igbo reps, just so that we could spite Buhari and start shouting marginalization later on.

What Tinubu and SW ACN did to SW by denying the region it's right to speaker position as zoned by PDP is unpardonable, it's betrayal of the region, yet you lots don't want to see it that way, you chose to see what you want to see, and blame everyone else for your it.

Yorubas are funny lots. They do something and they rush to blame and accuse Ndiigbo for it, and even try to whip up sentiment against us.

Look at this one. Who's mulikat? Considering the political heavy weight men in SW, only non popular mulikat could suffice for the SW bah? You're mad and you have none to tell you that.

See! They rejected Mulikat, chose their Arewa master Tambuwal who was a PDP rebel then who was working against GEJ PDP controlled faction.
Only to turn back and start crying foul that no Yoruba was a member of top 6 posts in the country, and they would rather blame GEJ and not their ACN lord, Tinubu for it.

But it was you lots that started the game of insults. You threw the first shot with your drunken fisherman stone . And you lots were relentless in using all sorts of derogatory names for a sitting president, why then were you ruffled with your alleged Arthur Eze reply to you lots? Or you can dish it out, but can't take it, right?

GEJ called Igbos the pillar of his government, so? He was speaking to an Igbo audience and it's only normal to try to win them over with sweet words, why are you people this petty and Igbo hating? GEJ said alot of things about Ndiigbo that he never fulfilled. Saying Ndiigbo were the pillars of government to an Igbo audience means nothing, except to a mind plaqued with innate Igbo hate, because pillars are not the only component of a house.
If Igbos were his pillars, then other groups were his foundation,, others his roof, others his lintel, paint, etc.
No part of the house is more important than the other, lest the building collapse. But you lots were being eaten inside out because of mere campaign word a politician used to address an Igbo audience. Tell me if you lots are okay.
I don't even know how you can compare GEJ pillar sentence to Buhar 5% discriminatory statement.
Available records shows that GEJ never showed preference to SE in distribution of key infrastructures in Nigeria during his era. SW even got more attention than SE.

This is the summation of all Yoruba anger against GEJ. These people can't stand or stomach anyone saying anything good about Ndiigbo.
GEJ called us his Pillar, and these dark hearted lots were in severe pains. They couldn't bear the man anymore, how dare him say something good about Ndiigbo.
Buhari called us 5percent, and there was Euphoria from Oshogbo to Shaku, to Ogbomosho, to Ikale. It was a national happiness. Bubu won a place in their hearts.
Such is the life of these people.

Your problem is that you thrive on lies and falsehood.

The thread is about people that went to Jonathan.

They went to Jonathan to complain about APPOINTMENTS under the Executive arm which is in his purview.

The Speaker is an elective role and not under Jonathan's control so stop mixing apples and oranges.

Jonathan as president is head of the executive and he did not see fit to appoint any Yoruba person to any worthwhile position that he had power to appoint.

Did Buhari appoint Saraki or Dogara

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan met with a delegation of the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), led by Major-General Adeyinka Adebayo (retd), in the State House, on Thursday, as the leaders complained about being left out in the top six posts in the country.[b]

Now, like I keep saying, Yorubas must come to understand that the era they distorted narratives out of their innate hateful hearts against Ndiigbo and go Scot free is gone. Social media is the worst thing that ever happened to the Lagos-Ibadan media of Igbo hate and lies.

This was me exposing his lying ass.

The elders visited GEJ because of Yoruba absence from top 6 positions.
See it above from the news.
But these people who thrive in falsehood and wiping up emotions and opinions against Ndiigbo were already trying to spin the narrative right before our eyes.

Ofcourse, no Yoruba falsehood can go past my eagle eyes, they have been honed for 24 years and counting now, to Zero in on and burst Yoruba lies.

Bottoline is that this thread have been tackled and dealt with.
With Yorubas exposed for who they are.

You were zoned speaker position by PDP , despite your region being mostly an ACN controlled zone.

Yoruba ACN members teamed up with PDP rebels and overturned Mulikat, GEJ anointed candidate, allowing Tambuwal to emerge, because Tinubu and Yoruba ACN were more interested in clipping GEJ wings to smoothen things for themselves and APC in the future.

They sacrificed Mulikat and supported Tambuwal.

Then years later, their elders rather than go to Tinubu and cry about lack of Yoruba presence in top six positions, they came to GEJ crying.

News came to NL, and some Igbos here told them to go to Tinubu and ACN and ask for their speaker position.
In this context, how did Ndiigbo do wrong? How did we support Yoruba marginalization because we told them the truth.
Why exactly are Yorubas trying to emotionally spin this and present Igbos/GEJ and not Tinubu and ACN Yorubas, as villians.

What sort of evil manipulation of narratives is this?

Re: Yoruba Marginalization: Elders Met Jonathan To Complain - SMH by Igboid: 12:33pm On May 19, 2020
As much as Ndiigbo hated APC, we were still supporting OUK in APC for senate presidency and Nkiruka Onyejocha(APC) for speaker, much to the anger of Yorubas here, who in their wicked minds believed SE should be totally marginalized from those posts. Because our region is a PDP zone. But no Igbo cried when Mulikat almost the only PDP senator in ACN controlled SW was chosen for speaker by PDP hierarchy.

If APC hierarchy chose Nkiruka Onyejocha for speaker, only for Igbo PDP members to liase with a rebel APC house member to scuttle Nkiru, with Igbos support just to spite Buhari and run around with Igbo marginalization agenda.

Then I don't think it would be unfair for Yorubas to ask Ndiigbo to go to PDP and ask them for our own posts, if we later come to Buhari crying about being left out of key posts.

Context matters. Words and actions lose meaning if not placed in proper context.

What Yorubas have done with this thread was to strip it of its context and thereafter, manipulate narratives in pure Yoruba fashion, to present Ndiigbo in bad light, to justify their own innate Igbophobia.

I read this from page 1. What a wonderful thread. I saw envy and hatred of igbos towards yorubas in the first stage and I saw how the table turned on them on the same thread. Kudos to yorubas for leaving them to have their laugh at the beginning but end up wailing and gnashing teeth when the table turned. Igbos are hateful people. That why even among them, they segregate themselves as OSU and freeborn. Where Osus cannot eat, dine, marry or move with the freeborn. They can't even be friends to the freeborn. If they can do that to fellow igbos(osus), what can now makes it difficult for them not to do it for other tribes. They are slaves in the country.

Their land is landlocked. They are angry people.

They attached so much to others, eg SS and Israel.

They are not proud of themselves and who they are, they want to be recognized by Israel by force.

What a lovely thread.

This is a welcome development, the Yorubas should be effectively and perpetually marginalized and schemed out, because they deserve worst things also. What did they achieve for their rotten Yoruba states during wasted years of the baboon called Obasanjorijo Useless and woe tribe. They should step up the complaint, GEJ will as usual and as always mess them up. They forgot that Tinubo sold them out for a pot of 'ewodu', the same way their foolish leaders sold out abioala to the almajiris to be slaughtered.
What a great comment from a nonentity. I hope your father has stopped wailing now. I thought you are your father can single handedly return Jonathan na. But not, you have been on wailing spree since 2015 grin

It is quite amusing to find out that a topic about 'Yoruba Elders' complaining to Jonathan is drawing so much bile from most of the ibo posters on this topic. I hope that the hatred for the Yorubas shown here does not mirror the hatred shown towards Yorubas by Ibos on the streets of Lagos. If this bile is already being expressed on the streets of Lagos, I can safely assert that the grounds of the 60s Kano pogroms against the ibo that led to the civil war has been prepared, only waiting for a trigger or match to light up a conflagration.  With the rate at which ibo teenagers are looking for trouble here we might have a repetition of history coming up, probably triggered by something as silly as a bloody quarrel between a Yoruba man and an ibo man on the street Lagos and people capitalizing on that to release their pent up frustrations against the ibos. The only difference I can foresee between the impending history and that of the 60s is that we do not have strong regions today as we had then and there is no Ojukwu or Awolowo figure today. Coming conflicts (if it happens) might not lead to an all out civil war. It will only lead to a regime change with the 'military hawks' blaming the growing insecurity for the need to strike and restore order. Thereafter we'll start an endless repetition of our most recent history.

Flesh and blood didn't reveal this to you..... Everything you predicted is already manifesting, the impending outburst against the Igbos due to their glaring irredeemable hate against the Yoruba is a gun powder waiting to be explode. The recent electoral violent during the last year election in Lagos is an eye opener.

And in 2015 Jonathan still got over 40% in the South West, how? Obasanjo had to stab the Hausa-fulani in back for Jonathan to emerge the president, and those ignorant souls in the first page just claimed his victory for Igbo people. What kind of greed is that?

Why cant Igbo people move on from their loss in the war. See how Nigerian they were in 2011 when they were "oppressing" Yoruba people. We should not allow Igbo people blackmail us for 2023 presidency! If they want it, they should work for it like every other person and we don't mind another Northerner ruling us in 2023 or this country breaks up.

They never will and the real danger for Yorubas, who they hate the most, is that they will quickly move to use every position of power to severe their 'pound of flesh' they will always remain devoted to cutting from us. Just ask Stella Oduah.

Long and short is that the North, far more cynical and distrusting than the SW, cannot trust Igbos and will never support them to be President anytime soon. Igbos should go and work on their relationships with the North who they love insulting 24/7 and leave Yorubas out of their 'betrayal' revisionism.

Yorubas are not the main group who do not want the Igbos to lead Nigeria. IPOBians should focus on that reality and accept it is the consequences of their behaviour towards others.

abusaheed (25)in #nepotism • 3 years ago
NEPOTISM... A normal trend for every heterogeneous society!
In 2012, the Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Stella Oduah, sacked eight general managers at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), six of whom were Yoruba.
Shortly after that, Stella Oduah from the South East employed 75 workers, 40 of whom were from the Southeast, her geo-political zone.
At the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), another agency under the minister, she recruited about 107 workers, with 68 per cent hailing from the Southeast.
Stella Oduah minister sacked the Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Captain Adebayo Araba and replaced him with Captain Chinyere Kalu from the Southeast.
===
When all these were going on, under Goodluck Azikwe Jonathan, the Yoruba did not call Igbo "cows" and "animals". I don't remember anyone organizing a Radio to call for the dissolution of Nigeria during that time. Of course, IPOB was silent, Ben Akabueze, Emeka Anyaoku, Pat Utomi and other Igbo leaders of thought did not remember "Igbo marginalization" during that period.
This is just to remind us all that, marginalization is only a song for the elites.
They beat the drum louder when they are no longer part of the main "chop-chop" cabinet.
Go to every state and even LG, you will hear that word NEPOTISM and Marginalization especially from those who lost out in the power game or members of the conqueror who failed to get appointment!!!

It was not lack of respect that led Stella Oduah to move malevolently and with blinding speed against the Yorubas. It is hate they pass on, through powerful and non-stop brainwashing, to even children in the womb.

That makes perfect sense. Suddenly the hateful Igbo man advocating political winner-takes-all policy , when he thought his ethnic group was the winner, is no longer so keen on same when the APC that Igbos soundly crejected took power at the centre.

His thoughtless, myopic and hateful suggestion would mean the APC would be perfectly justified shunning Igbo States under the mantra he was a fan of in 2011.

This thread is simply another display of how Igbos are wicked and predisposed to committing atrocities against others only to play victim when they have lost out.

This thread is simply another display of how Igbos are wicked and predisposed to committing atrocities against others only to play victim when they have lost out.

PentiumPro:

Your comment was very clear when you made it back then, and you never think the table could turn this way. To you, Yorubas did not vote for PDP but voted for a different party and since PDP won the national elections, Yorubas should not make demand from PDP.

It was after this exchange that he deleted it

Mynd44:

I hope you people will not deviate from your words now....
Should we say it is okay for Buhari and APC to be unjust to the SS and SE states?

Afam4eva:

My statement should not be taken out of context. I want to believe that when I made the statement, it appeared that the Yoruba's were demanding what belonged to PDP at the time. I'm not sure. I have to go over the thread again.
