I don't work there. I am only concerned about the generalization & lack of objectivity in the way some members of the public have interacted with is issue. The NPF is far from perfect but it does not give us the fiat to demonize every single operative of the unit. Alas it's the Nigerian way, same thought processes that thinks all fulani's are killer headsmen & all south easterners are drug barons. SuperS1Panther: If this is true, I apologise for my comment about these guys.

gaby: Then why the selfie if they truly know and understand what undercover truly means. They could as well be undercovering for some nefariousness.
I must salute the honest and hardworking officers amongst the forces though. Picture was taken at F-SARS Base Ikeja by a third party & uploaded. |

Recently (today 17/07/2018) , Social Media was agog with the pictures of F-SARS operatives (in official NPF F-SARS kit) in a casual photo (see attached photo).
Commentaries from citizens casting aspersions & insults followed same. In the midst of all these it is important to not loose sight of the following under listed facts:-
- operatives in that photo were part of the team that was involved in the capture of billionaire kidnapper "Evans"
- The operatives as recent as few months ago where involved in the release of an octogenarian relative of mine who was kidnapped on his way to Delta state from Lagos.
While Nigerian's may be pissed with regards to thier "looks" it is important to note that 70% of their work profile involves serious undercover work in tough & very hostile environment & they should not be expected to look like Idris Elba on the cover of Vogue Magazine.
Try & imagine how security in Lagos State would be if F-SARS is not working for just 12 hours. Trust me it would be a MAD MAX kind of apocalypse.
Give our policemen the support they deserve & push your elected representives to allocate more funding to the NPF.
Shalom

A distant 2nd of the major ills that will continue to limit Nigeria's growth after Corruption is Ethnic Bigotry. Also ignorance is a very big problem for a huge percentage of our almost 200M population. Basic education (Primary & Secondary) standard's have been shit for almost 30 years. When people say present administration caused our present problems I weep. We have been preparing our present situation for decades. Do you know that as a principal officer of NASS he is entitled by a FGN gazette to both an NPF & DSS detail? The reality though is more than 15 personnel of both DSS & NPF to both himself & family.. Please someone should please tell me how the marriage act supersedes the Constitution. Ayo25: Adelani Adepegba The Federal Government has faulted claims by the Lagos State Government that a Federal High Court has shut down the Ikoyi Marriage Registry , insisting that the report is false. The Ministry of Interior said that the court presided over by Justice Chuka Obiozor simply upheld the judgment of a Federal High Court delivered in 2002 which was not appealed. It explained that the case, Suit No : FHC/L /CS /1760/16- Egor Local Government Area of Edo State & three others Vs. Ministry of Interior & others, cited by the Lagos State government was actually struck out by Justice Obiozor in his judgment delivered on April 30, 2018. The Director of Legal , Ministry of Interior , Bola Odugbesan, made the clarification in a statement in Abuja on Friday, in reaction to a press statement on Thursday by the Director , Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, Bisi Olufuwa. Olufuwa had claimed that the Lagos State had secured a court injunction restraining the Ikoyi registry from conducting marriages . Dismissing the claims, Odugbesan presented a copy of the judgment by Obiozor who described the case as an abuse of court process and struck it out . Checks by our correspondent also showed that the Lagos State Government was not a party to the suit . Clarifying what transpired in the suit , Odugbesan said, “ In the case, the court was invited to interpret the provisions of the Constitution conferring on local governments, the powers to register marriages . “ The Minister of Interior, through his Counsel , Bola Odugbesan, argued that under item 61 of the Exclusive List , matters connected with marriage under the Marriage Act , issuing of marriage certificate and its registration are outside the purview of state and /or local governments.” The director further explained , “The Federal High Court in its judgment dated April 30 , 2018 , struck out the case of the Plaintiffs, ie , Egor LGA & Ors . The court held that the case is an abuse of the court process in view of the earlier judgment of the court in 2002 which upheld the sanctity of the rights of the Minister to issue licences to places of worship to conduct marriages , and the Registrar under the Marriage Act to register marriages . It is instructive to note that Lagos State was not a party in the case,” Odugbesan insisted that the Federal High Court never ordered the closure of Ikoyi Marriage Registry as claimed by Olufuwa. http://punchng.com/court-didnt-close-ikoyi-marriage-registry-fg-tells-lagos-govt/ |

And you can prove Idris helped rig Kano during the the 2015 elections toluxa1: Buhari will not remove him. He retired over 21 AIG's in other to make this commissioner an IG. He rigged election in kano in favor of Buhari when he was posted to kano to oversee 2015 election. IGP came as a reward. Why do you think he has been behaving the way he has without fear. Flouted a direct order of the President, nothing happened. Refused severally to appear with a Senate summon, nothing happened. I'm sure Buhari will want him to remain there at least until after the Elections. May God help this country. |

You are beyond redemption in you ignorance. Keep living in delusion. tomakint: Dude, Perhaps you were part of the team to build the Tucano to come up with this phantom features on what is yet to be delivered. You appeared to know more than those in the know and you keep shouting Davido and Chioma issues like i know what they do .......what type of human is this. The deal was $496 million you mind to explain the almost $600 million deal you are dangling before me? Are you sure of your defense and how come the letter headed is missing in the paper you are displaying?
While at it, kindly help us explain as one of the engineers how a Tucano that ranges from $10 million to $14 million each and with whatever features that come with it in terms of extras like training, debugging, etc should be $17.5 million each is now shooting up to $49.4 million each, lets know If you can process simple data now.
