Hi, i have read through this n must confess it is very educative. Pls, i need proper guidance on my next application to france embassy in lagos. 1. a friend n his french wife wants to do their church wedding in france and they have sent the normal wedding invitation card and the venue bronchure (a vacation and resourt centre in Vannes) to me n my family(wife and 2 kids) . i was supposed to apply for family/friend visit visa to brighten my chances. but what they sent does not meet that reqiurement, applying for tourist visa may reduce my chances of getting the visa. can i still apply family visit visa using the wedding iv,hotel booking at same venue of the wedding and adding the picture we all took the last time they both visit naija ? . pls note, i intend going wt my whole family of 4 2. bank statement of account- my wife and i both have healthy bank accounts separately. but, apart from my monthly salary going into my acct, i have other sources of money lodgement from third party regularly because i hold power of anthoney over my sister's house (rent payment by tenants) and i ship in cars for clients once in a while. pls, what can i do so that they will not see this 3rd party payments as money lodgements |

gabrieli: Thanks very much for your indept analysis, i will be going to a mechanic in a couple of days, i will report back to the house so that others can pick one or two things from itThank you guys for your useful advice ( especially auto tec). Since my former mechanic could not resolve the problems after about 3 visit to his workshop, i made up mind to use another one, good enough, the new one was quick to discover that the cause of the problem was the wrong size of the hub fixed by the previous mechanic. The hub was subsequently replaced again and allignment done, the problem of the steering not returning disappeared. The car speed has improved greatly, and i will monitor the fuel consumption for the next 2 weeks to know the effect. Though, i do feel a slight vibration from the car/engine when accelerating, but it will stop once i reach top speed. The new mechanic said it was due to a bad shaft cup, he will work on this immediatly i have the time. Thanks you guys for your concern and efforts. |

Up super eagles, trully , they will not stop disappointing we Nigerians. 1. In the first game against B/Faso, we expected a convincing victory, alas, it was a draw, that was DISAPPONTMENT NUMBER 1 2. In the 2nd game against Zambia, though Zambia was the defending champions, we still expect eagles to manage to win, all we got was also a score draw, that is DISAPPOINTMENT NUMBER 2 3. Against Ethiopia in the last game , we were expecting complete white wash of Ethiopia that has lost their best player to injury in their previous game, and also, they don`t have much to play for, but Nigerian were hoping for wide margine victory so that we can top the group and avoid CIV at Q/F stage, at the end, we manage to win through penalties. DISAPPOINTMENT NUMBER 3 4. FINALLY, with the lack lustre performances that eagles have put up in their first 3 games, most Nigerians did not expect them to defeat CIV, but, here we are today, Super eagles have defeated CIV to reach the semi finals of the on going AFCON Championships. DISAPPOINTMENT NUMBER 4. The next game against MALI,i expect eagles to win, i pray that they don`t disppoint ooooooo |
Hello. Wheel balancing will not fix this problem. Since your the vehicle was first functioning fine before replacing the wheel hubs and tie rods, get a qualified mechanic to remove the wheel hubs and check the bearing. This vehicle uses a removable one piece (permanent) bearing that should always be removed and installed by a hub press rather than a hammer. Failure to do so may deform the wheel hub unit. At the same time have the old original (faulty I assume) wheel hubs present to confirm they are identical to the replacement ones. I assume your mechanic has fixed fairly used wheel hubs. Even a slight difference in hub position will throw off the alignment measurement because if the mounting hole on the steering knuckle where the tie rod tightens is pushed forward or backward (positive or negative caster) the factory designed tie rod cannot fit, it will seem to be the wrong length. There may be a possibility your mechanic may have used a different length tie rod to compensate. All this will amount to abnormal tire wear you are complaining of. Incorrect wheel hubs will change the positive caster (alignment measurement) setting to negative. This in the will not allow the steering wheel to return to its position by default once the steering is released. All vehicles suspensions systems on today's roads have a positive caster setting applied from factory. This is the reason why the steering wheel returns without guidance. Since you do not have any engine performance issues I am not in a position to say what exactly your mechanic did, but it sounds to me that there may be a possibility of binding causing drag (wheel bearing, incorrect hub). This places more load on the engine; hence the excess fuel consumption issue. Try any amount of wheel alignment it will not solve your issue. The geometry of your suspension is out of manufacturer's specification. Get a good tech to tear down the front wheel hub/knuckle assembly, check all components replaced, including all the ball joints. Do have all your old components replaced present for comparison. Once checked and rectified, perform another wheel alignment and balance. Keep your tire pressure (cold) at 32 psi. All your issues will be resolved. It should be relatively straight forward to diagnose and rectify! Hope this helps! Good luck!
Thanks very much for your indept analysis, i will be going to a mechanic in a couple of days, i will report back to the house so that others can pick one or two things from it |

Docjay487: good luck sha, cause that same thing made me lose my yahoo account. Advice you sign up for gmail next time you're ready for a new free mailbox. Dear all, I have a big challenge with my 99 model camry, this is a car i have been using for 4 years without major issues until recently. The front passenger tyre has been going bad too often lately(deformed). Initially, i thought it was because the replacement has always been tokunboh tyre. But recently i replaced it with a new tyre and still discovered it went bad within 2 months, i also observed the following: 1. when i make a deep right turning on motion, the steering does not return to normal position unless i guided it back, and i also noticed that the tyre tend to slip on the road during the right turning. 2. The car accelerating speed has reduced which has now lead to increase fuel consumption because it seems the car is moving with some hinderance I started noticing the problems stated under point 1 & 2 above after i replaced my tye rods and the hubs sometimes ago, i have changed the rods again thinking that wrong sizes were used. Also i have done alignment about 3 times with no improvement. Now both the mechanic and alignment guys keep pushing me back and forth. I have made up my mind to visit another mechanic for re- assessment. Guys, please, i just need your advice to guide me with the new mechanic i am going to complain to. Those who might have experieced such could also enlighten me on what to do. |
Like the biblical Moses, Victor moses saved the day and took Super eagles to the Q/finals |
Obviously, i dont think Super eagles can score against Ethiopia with this aimless performance they have displayed so far in this last match. Therefore, i have changed my channel to B/faso vs Zambia match because if Zambia is beaten and eagles maintain their winless streak, Naija will qualify. Guys what do you think? |
stagger: Can you in your infinite wisdom, tell us here how much it costs to clear this vehicle at Onne port in Rivers State? Custom duty is fixed and the rates are known, but who fixes prices of clearing? And besides, can you fault the price of the vehicle if purchased from the US at the mileage I put up above and the shipping rates?Bros, Buying good cars in US does not come cheap again, i bought and brought in 2005 corolla for my wife in 2010 at a landing cost of N1,55M, that same grade of corolla, i just brought it in for a friend at N1.62M. Though are both perfectly clean and strong. if i am to sell the last one with my profit margin, i will place it at N1.8M and i am sure NLander will shout about overpricing. very good cars cost fortune this days. but the one of my wife have never developed any fault since 2010, we do the usual servicing only. |
Na wa oh, it is time for Naija to test some of her newly acquired war jets. We dont pray for war, and thank God for not given them opportunity to use them Nigeria |
For my little girl of 3.5 years old, my wife will pack noodle with boiled egg or fish/chips with fried egg/boiled yam with fried egg/rice with fish or boiled egg. others are caprizone or bobo or hollandia milk drink, biscuit and water in her water bottle. though, she is not the eating type, i have to beg her teacher to help take interest in feeding her. It is their world, so i can`t complain, in my own time i go to school with garri and palm kernel seed , not even ground nut. |
phecs: Cooked interview!dis dude cnt speak english fluently!Bros, the guy try ooo, there was a time he could not make a simple sentence in english language correctly. Though, one can still pick some grammatical errors in this interview. On the average, he has improved greatly. |
yoged: ode and mumu.THANKS, i guess that makes u happi. |
nija80: well, its not about GEJ because i am not one of his fans. This is what nigerians wanted,i have my fact, most petrol station owners still buys product at the official price except some very few.but majority sells above the official dispensing price, when govt talks about full deregulation, the marketers and their sponsors took to the street, now who is fooling who. Most of them smiles to the Bank with excess profit every day, that is Nija for you,This subsidy will criple this country one day.For your info my brother, its not only in osun state is the whole country over.Onlyy NNPC Mega and some majors sells at the official price.I think, it is not about subsidy, it is about GEJ stamping his feet to wipe out corruption. Even, if landing cost is N300 /L, the corrupt marketers /Govt officials will still take pump price to N500/L |
nawao even though i be 3rd, i will not jubilate because it is childish |
Not only in OSUN, it is thesame in the entire southwest except some city part of Lagos. I bought at N115.00K per Litre at virtually all the fill stations i visited during my my last trip to Ekiti early december 2012. |
Bad alternator symptoms December 5, 2012 - sourced from Today`s Punch Newspaper, Punch Newspaper sourced from buzzle.com HAPPY READING ---- An alternator is a very important part of the electrical power system of a car. Here is a listing of bad alternator symptoms, which will provide you with an advance warning of alternator failure. -How does an alternator work? Have you ever wondered where does the electrical power for driving the car radio, the driving lights and other accessories come from? Yes, it comes from the car battery, but you do not charge the car battery daily. How does the car manage to keep the battery charged and keep all the electrical devices operational day in and day out? The way it achieves this, is through a device called the alternator, which charges the battery when the car is moving. An ‘Alternator’ is the short form for ‘Alternating Current Generator’. An alternator is basically a dynamo that converts the mechanical energy of the crankshaft into electrical energy, which is stored in the car battery. All the vital systems of the car, like the ignition systems are totally dependent on the power output from the car battery, which in turn is dependent on the alternator. -Symptoms of a bad alternator All car problems are best solved by a qualified mechanic, but you should also know the warning signs of impending device malfunction in the car. Any malfunctioning car part or device gives you indirect indications of its problems. Some devices have indicators which show their condition, while the only way to check the condition of some car devices is to check out for yourself. There are various symptoms which will give you an advance notice of impending problems. -Watch the dashboard indicator/service light There is a dashboard indicator or service light, which indicates the condition of the alternator. If it flickers or is switched off, it could mean two things. Either the service light LED is gone or the alternator is not working. Check both cases as soon as possible with a mechanic or do it yourself, with a dc voltmeter. -Battery voltage output drop The best and sure-fire way, in which you could know the condition of your alternator, is to arm yourself with a digital multimeter or dc voltmeter and check the voltage output of the battery. If it is consistently low (less than 13 V) and diminishing, then chances are, that either alternator is partially or fully failing or there is a problem with the car battery itself. Either way, it’s best to get it checked from a car mechanic. -Noise Many experienced car mechanics can tell what is wrong with a car, by just listening to it! Years of experience have trained them to know what is wrong just by identifying peculiar sounds made by malfunctioning parts. We mortals cannot be expected to understand that yet, but noise is an indicator of something going wrong. A clanging or rattling sound might be an indicator of something that has gone wrong with the alternator belt or its other parts. -Diminished accessory performance One of the indirect symptoms is diminished performance of various electrical accessories in the car. This indicates, low charging level of the battery, which could be a result of the alternator not performing well. In this case, an immediate check-up from a mechanic is recommended or else, you will observe the gradual shutdown of all electrically operated accessories of the car. Every component of a car is crucial in its overall working. The alternator being the core power generator system, is especially more important. Car repair is a costly endeavour and being alert and seeing early signs of car device malfunction is the only way of saving some money.
