2010/2011 ACADEMIC SESSION BEGINS JANUARY 17TH, 2011

The 2010/2011 Acedmic session has been approved to commence on january 17th, 2011 by the senate of the university.
December 24,2010 to January 2, 2011 as been declared as the end of the year break while on-line registration for the new session starts on December 27,2010.

Freshmen online registration for accomodation has been slated for January 15,2011 and the orientation for freshmen would span between January 17th and 21st, 2011

Returning undergraduates and postgraduates are to come into residence from January 23rd, 2011 while the Harmattan Semester Lectures begin on the 24th of January, 2011.

@ omolola, if i liked it, i won't be here asking 4 peepz' opinion. Maybe i'll try snubbing those i can and reduce my xposure to gals.

Over time, i've always felt uncomfortable with the alarming attention i get from girls. At first, i thought the reverse should be the case but later, i had to accept that they have emotions too. Each time i do any favour to any girl, they always want to pay back with starting a cordial relationship . They often begin with mere greetings and make it deeper with frequent communication. As much as i'm not a ladies man, i find it difficult to resist. Virtually everywhere i go, i usually get entwined into 1 or the other. While in ICAN class, i answer questions well and they won't just let me be. I think my strength is brilliancy and good looking too. Very recently, in church, a sis had been too close and just last week, she began like, 'why don't u check on me at home tomorrow, i'll be alone'. At first, i was speechless but i had to show my disapproval. Some peepz may see this as been childish but to me, it makes me uncomfortable . The point is, i'm not a misogynist but too much attention from the female folks destabilizes me. I need ur candid opinion on how to cope with this ASAP.

@ yeah, the fact is, delayed hope makes the heart weary n that's y those pple behave funny atimes. Sometimes, not even the VC can be trusted with news bcuz somthn can occur to change some events. I can remember vividly in 2007 when oau senate was in an uproar,rancour and so much tumult as to how the admissn shd go, each faction argue to favour its candidates. All that is over now, all exams finishes this week. Oau computer centre has been working on the list since last week and by next week all things being equal, the list shall be uploaded to the site. Waiting for 1 week shouldn't be a problem.

@pls beware of hungry opportunist who may want to take advantage of naive and unsuspecting u in the name of securing admission 4 u. He only cares about ur money. Hope to see u all in oau comes next session.

Late now coz Admission stuff is closed now and the list is ready to be released, uploaded and published. Pray that ur name should be there. @where has faith been? She's owing us some news about her contact the admission officer.

Oau is set to release all list after the meeting of the members of the senate. This was confirmed by the school's admission officer this morning. The list comprises DE, Jamb and pre- degree candidates. Hence, both the merit and the supplementary list will be pasted in school and the school's portal in their website. The list will also be published in Nigerian Tribune newspaper by December and the resumption for freshers shall be Jan. while stalite shall resume February. Prospective students are there4 adviced to assess the school's website for the requirements for their registration for hitch-free reg . Keep ur fingers CROSSED. Mind u, this is as true as thd gospel.

Mine was in 2001. Then, quite a number of my friends already had e-mail but i chose to learn it myself. The 1st day, i paid #80 for 30 mins in a cyber café. I never knew what to do, i was just clicking every icon till the time lapse. It went on like that till i learnt it perfectly.

Ican is neither simple nor hard, it depends on ur disposition. If u want to xcel in ICAN, u'll have to attend 1 of the best tutorials, study past questions and most importantly create more time to cover the syllabus and get the best of it. It is VERY DEMANDING.

U Guys had bn patience all this while and waiting 4 3 wks will not be too much. Oau senate will be meeting over the list b4 its release after nextweek. Just a lil patience will help.

@codzy, it's still easy but u'll av 2 act FAST. Get in touch with d oau's admission officer, xplain it 2 him. Since u didn't write aocoed's exam, the skul can reject ur admission and it'll be done, that's if u're keen 2 be in Oau anyway. Mind u, it's with no cost.

@guy, nice meeting u. It's v. true that jamb wont allow double admission but i will av 2 ask u, av u bn admitted in2 uniabuja already? If yes, it's still possible coz u can get a transfer to oau in ur 2nd year. If no, go and sleep ur name is on OAU's supplementary list.

@Tunsbobo, there'll be 2 weeks 4 reg b4 lectures but most pple won't finish their reg in 2 weeks till lectures begin. Most things u'll need aside ur credentials and jamb results will be done after resumption like payment of fees, obtaining couse forms etc.

Oau pastes some lists in various faculties in school.  It is a merit list for only, others to follow soon.
