A Tribute to Myles and Ruth Munroe Myles and I called ourselves ‘twin brothers’ Myles, my twin brother is gone up to glory Ruth, his partner in life and death has gone to eternal rest Faith and I miss you both! Our moments together on this side of the Jordan were most memorable. We stayed together on several occasions under the same roof We lodged in same hotels time and again; we shared the platform together preaching the good news of the Kingdom over the years. Our friendship of over 24 years was a most enriching and adventurous one, Our partnership in ministry was also a most profitable and rejuvenating one. Myles, my twin brother A bundle of inspiration A man of spiritual depth and insight A leader of leaders and teacher of teachers Ruth, a bundle of joy and divine radiance Your smiles were ever contagious, You exhumed gentleness, love and care like a fountain You were indeed a priceless jewel! The two of you were swifter than eagles You literally traversed the globe As you taught nations the principles of the Kingdom You were both as strong as the unicorn, Energetic, untiring, never relenting, purposeful and focused I could still remember, Myles and I took all the inaugural induction lectures for the pioneer Faculty and Staff of Covenant University in August 2002. All of Myles’ meetings on our church platform were ever inspiring and impactful. The Living Faith Church Worldwide really misses you! Good night Myles, my twin brother! Good night Ruth, his partner in life and in death Bishop David & Faith Oyedepo President & Founder LFCW a.k.a Winners’ Chapel International & Chancellor, Covenant University, Canaanland Ota-Lagos, Nigeria.

specialguest: When you catch the bouquet at a wedding everyone starts saying "congratulations you are next" and that got me wondering is it like handing over the baton to the next in line during a marathon race or its purely a goodluck charm? It worked for me. I caught a bouquet in September 2011 at a wedding in PH, and I got married 5 months later in February 2012. So.....to him/her that believeth all things are possible.... #Believe# |
Na wa o. 120k? Its a pity o.during my encounter with them,I was as MUTE as a deaf and dumb, even when they asked for my opinion I kept quiet! No reply,I didn't say a word and that was wat really saved me that day. Saraha1: how I wish I had opportunity to nairaland as at when I came accross this people. All what you narrated was extactly what I was told ,which I fell for it and gave them 120,000k . |
Never had such experince until that day, when I eventually left the taxi, cold shivers, goose pimples took over my body,I couldnt shout or talk to anybody around me..... Was so scared ehh. I really thank God because if not that I kept mute,it would have been a different story. |
I Pity you @guykhana |
I was coming home 2day and entered a cab which already had 2 ladies at the back and a guy at d front making plus d driver and claimed to be going to my direction.d mistake I made was telling them my route without allowing them to say d route they were plying.as we moved small, one of d ladies with me at d back wanted to drop and gave the driver money and asked him to come and open his boot for her to carry her ghana must go,d driver asked her what d content of d bag is and she said it is clothes but d driver became angry with her and told her that he opened d bag that it is not clothes that he saw but plenty of money that she's lying and that road safety has warned them not to carry any passenger with a load that he will hand her over to the police when we get to my destination for her to explain.d lady started forming crying without tears in her eyes that she was a prostitute and one niger man met her and told her to quit prostitution that he would marry her which she accepted and quitted.that she has aborted seven pregnancies for d man and d man is not doing anytn abt her,so d man went out and she went to a room in d house and saw plenty of dollars which she decided to carry to settle herself from d man that she entered 911 from jos to abuja with d money that was y police men didn't catch her that d driver should not take her to d police. But d driver persisted on taking her to d police which the other lady with us at d back supported him and d guy at d front was pleading to d driver not to do that that nigeria police will kill d lady and take d 1million dollars instead d lady should settle him and he will allow her go.so d driver changed his mind and said d woman should settle all of us in d car and not only him.so d woman accepted to give us 2000 dollars each but d driver refused and told her to share d money into two and gv us one part to share while she takes d other part which she accepted.so they were askind my opinion dis one am not saying anytn that she's a lady like me,did I support that d driver takes her to d police but I didn't say anytn.d next issue became where to share d money and dey asked me if they shld tk d money to my house and share but I kept quiet and didn't say anytn,so d driver concluded to enter one hidden place and open his bonnet and do as if his car is spoilt while we share d money,d other lady that showed interest b4 later declined and say she was no longer interested in d money dat dey shld stop her b4 going to share d money.so dey asked me if am also not interested in d money dis one am not saying anytn and I shook my head,so dey stopped for myself and d lady to cm down,so I came down and dey speeded off without d other lady coming down again.this was how God saved me by closing my mouth not talk cos had it been I talked,I would have fallen a victim while they go and waste...... |
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi says a place in the quarter-final should take precedence over his record as the first African to lead an African team to the second round at the FIFA World Cup. Last year he became the first black African coach to have won the Africa Cup of Nations in 21 years, and last Wednesday he helped Nigeria secure a place in the round of 16 at Brazil 2014. The former Nigeria captain said. “For me, my team and country come before any personal glory. “That we made the second round and are able to achieve this against all odds is all that matters.” There have been suggestions in some quarters that Keshi’s achievement in winning the Nations Cup and taking his team to the knock-out stages has not been given the value it should by the international media. “What is important is to focus on what lies ahead – not Stephen Keshi and his record,” Keshi said. Nigeria will face France for only the second time at senior level on Monday in Brasilia. In their previous clash, the Super Eagles beat France 1-0 in a friendly in Saint Etienne in June 2009, but Keshi says it will be a different ball game against the French as Nigeria aim to equal Africa’s all time best. Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana have all reached the quarterfinals in 1990, 2002 and 2010 respectively. “We are not bothered about the past but only interested in this present day,” Keshi added. “My boys know what I expect and our opponents will not make life easy for them. “The Super Eagles have never made it to the quarterfinals so they can make history of their own. “There’s no motivation bigger than that.” Keshi is one of only two men who has won the Nations Cup as a player and a coach – the other being Egypt’s Mahmoud El-Gohary. In 1994 Keshi captained the Super Eagles to their second continental success in Tunisia and 19 years later he was in charge of the side as they won the trophy for the third time in their history in South Africa. He also led Togo to their first – and to date only – appearance at the World Cup finals, but was sacked a few months before Germany 2006. He is the only African coach to have qualified two nations to the World Cup tournament....Source: http://ow.ly/2Jg3DV |
