Well Said! But.......It is well o
revolt:
I adressed a general societal phenomenon. you know pregnant wives seriously blackmail their husband's cos they know the stakes are high. All I'm saying Is whether they're one body, the husband remains the head of the home, and in unison the wife should be the prime minister of the home and not opposition member. Even the sweetest of men can become a beast when his ego is trampled. Every woman must understand this If she wants ti get married. same way eery man should understand a woman's jealousy can make her pluck out a kids eyes. If you understand.

5minsmadness:
Two punches.
One to the eye.
The other to the lip.
The lip got cut and bled with the blood staining her dress.
?multiple bruises to the right arm.
Most injuries are unilateral to the right.
Means her husband is left handed.
And we all know how deadly left handed people are.
Ass: Assault/ Domestic violence.
Plan:
Ask woman if she'd like to press charges. If yes, take photograph. Get a complete history of what happened.

Get a police report.

Bring charges up against husband.

Court case.

Resolution and restitution. Not necessarily divorce in all cases.
However husband now has a criminal record which will hang over him for life.
Bitterness and anger ensues. Separation, divorce.

Nigerian way:
Refuse to press charges. It's a family affair.
Take pictures informally.
Show pictures to your parents.
Show pictures to his parents and siblings.
Show pictures to his pastor/priest/imam/mentor.

Husband is summoned, called to order and shamed by one or all of the above.

Warned not to repeat such or else there will be consequences (take back their wife, loss of respect and favour from mentor/pastor/Imam, punishment by superior office if in the police force etc)

Wife called aside privately and admonished not to push husband to the wall

Wife given speed dial number to mentor/pastor etc in case of any wahala.

C'est finis.
well said my brother! You are not far from the truth....its so painful

even a good man can become a beast if married to a disrespectful abusive unsubmissive woman. Even in the animal kingdom lioness and lions exist with each knowing it's place. The day a lioness tries to assume the role of a lion it'd probably be killed. The idea of always demonizing the man in a fight between a couple solves no issues. why would a woman go challenging someone that's bigger, stronger more deadly etc I think it's stupidity. now I'm not saying all spouse beaters r right but common sense should prevail.

You insult your husband, disrespect him, and always think his opinion must be countered and u expect a loving man. Im beginning to understand why some people's don't support women education, cos knowledge is power? and most women simply can't control that power. they lose the very reason men find them attractive and become pseudo men. Ironically these feminists at the sound of a gunshot jump behind the men for protection. You'd wonder in such situations like wars, and matters requiring physical agility they concede n willingly submit to their men............you're more likely to get hurt by a man when you battle his decisions and abuse him.
well said! But do u know dat husband and wife are now one body? And d lady in question is Pregnant.
FamilyHeart Of A Beast! See What A Man Did To His Pregnant Wife! by GalaxyBlends(op): 8:15am On Jul 09, 2016
STOP BEATING YOUR WIFE! Just imagine what this Man turned this pretty woman into?
please ladies, use your power of choice well.
Marry a good man.
The truth is that most of times, the signs are there for you, but you ignore them.
Make your own money and stop being moved by money and gifts.
These things are not proofs that a Man loves you.
Do you know that just one day beating can purge you of all the good things he got You.
Some of You have good men around you, who are willing to worship you. Instead of marrying such men, you allow greed and desperation to put you into the wrong hands.
Marriage is not a do-or-die affair.
Take your time and observe a Man.
Don't just look at his actions, pay attention to his mindset. As a man thinketh, so is he.
Watch his relationship with other females.
Get his angry intentionally and watch his reaction.
Sometimes push him to the wall.
This is very important.
This woman is lucky to even be alive.
Imagine a man beating up a woman during pregnancy.
Such a bastard.
If you die, the man will get another woman.
So you lose on both sides.
I didn't know that dinosaurs are still in existence
Marry a Man not a boy.
There are good men everywhere
Don't be deceived.
It's just that most of them come in seed form.
You have to discover them.
This journey of marriage is a loooooong one.
What is the benefit of rushing into marriage, only to rush out again.
When you find a good man, stick to him.
Abundance of wealth is good, but it won't guarantee you much happiness.
Avoid men that see women as slaves.
If possible build with your man.
Especially a good man.
ITS MY OPINION THO!
You reserve the exclusive right to make your choice, I hope you make the right choice.

Olutola88:
Dear GalaxyBlends, If I had my way, I would advise you not to accept such offer. One thing I'll just say is that you make sure you don't relax & get comfortable with the role.

Truth be told, 25K is a decent pay for that role. Compared to what some Teachers earn & what is ascribed to certain “Graduate” positions, 25K is a handsome pay for a Fuel Pump Attendant. If the Location is Lagos, your monthly income will be around 40K since you will be making 20naira, 50 naira or 100 naira(as the case may be) from sales to customers filling Jerrycans.

YES! This could carry you away and make you forget that is not your place. Please, always remember this.

Make sure you don't leave the job search community; keep applying, keep up with latest trends in the Search community & in d the Labour market.

Try and build a good relationship with your Supervisor & Manager as this will make it easy for you to honour job tests & interviews & still retain your attendant job.

No one knows how long you will stay in the filling station, but make sure you're doing something by the side( even if it's only once a week you'll have time for it). This is needed when an interview question pops up: “what have you been doing since you finished NYSC?”. It might not sound too good for you to tell a potential employer (during an interview) that you've been ONLY a Fuel Pump Attendant. This might be a better response: “I've been managing a small Baking Business & a few other engagements”. Within you, you know that the attendant job is what you are referring to as other engagements.

Like someone said earlier, you can get a solid network on the job.

Cheers
thank u very much. God bless u real good

@OP, I would advice you take the job but always put your eyes on the job market. In all fairness #25k for such job is very decent compared to what other attendants are paid. I know someone who pays just #8k to attendants monthly. How sad!
One question for you:Are you going to work the full day or you share duty for half the day?
thank you

The salary varies as it depends soley on the owner of the station. I've managed a filling station before. I paid cashier 30k, supervisor 40k and my salary was 50k.

So the owner decides what he pays as the salaries aren't fixed. Sadly, our pump attendants were paid 10k. I tried so hard to change it but my MD wouldn't let me...he said I could increase their salary from my own salary.
10k? Are u serious? Na wa o

My little advice... Take it... Always go to work with your CV and cover letter... Then try giving it out among the wealthy ones that come to refill in your station... You never can tell what you could get from there...
On a side note, dressing smart and doing things a little diff frm the normal SSCE attendant might indirectly push you ahead... Goodluck...
Thank u very much. God bless u real good.

HealthWrong Use Of X-ray Harmful To Unborn Child- Experts by GalaxyBlends(op): 4:17pm On Nov 17, 2014
Abuja –  A radiographer, Mr Uchenna Dike, on Monday said wrong use of X-ray could be harmful to an unborn child.
Dike made this disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
He said noted that though X-ray could be used as a diagnostic facility, it could be harmful to humans if not properly administered.
Dike identified some of the harmful effects on patient, including the unborn child to include stunted growth, deformity, abnormal brain function or cancer, among others.
NAN reports that a radiographer assists in the diagnostic and theuraphetic aspects of medicine, thereby ensuring that physicians diagnose correctly to adequately treat their patients.
The radiographer demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to patient, self and other members of the healthcare team during X-ray procedures.
Dike said registered radiographers were expected to always weigh the benefits of X-ray on a patient, as against the hazard.
In reference to a pregnant woman undergoing X-ray session, he said that the radiographer would consider the health condition of such a patient before administration, to avoid endangering the life of the unborn child.
“Imaging scientists or radiographers are authorised by law to dispense ionizing radiation to help, if the benefits outweigh the risks.
“This is done within approved dose limits and optimised exposure factors to reduce the risk of cancer and other radiation diseases.
“Radiation exposure before birth can increase a person’s risk of getting cancer later in life.
“Unborn babies are especially sensitive to the cancer causing effects of radiation.
“The increase in the risk depend on the amount of radiation to which the baby and patient are exposed and the amount of time that it was exposed,’’ Dike said. (NAN). Source...Vanguardnews.
