Chukwueze leaving Villarreal could backfire...he has been on right trajectory of growth....building up match experiences and camaraderie with teammates...he should not break the momentum...it would be like taking a child FORCEFULLY away from the mother s breast...ieven if he goes to PSG can he earn more than Neymar? Villarreal should do well to retain him...he has been their best player for sometime now. Cheers and happy new month and year

Enough of all these their trials and fails. They should just come back and develop themselves from the local league. They are still young and have a whole world of opportunities ahead. Good they are even part of the current U20 and so let them go show their stuff.
Do you blame them? When their manager will be rushing them to take his own cut of the transfer fee....they do not really have any say....thats the contract they signed...but good that they are back to join under 20....adding more value to that team....this 2019 is our year to win under21 ooo

Simmy can go Juventus.... undecided

Seeing that he is a Nigerian player and has donned our colors for the world cup, we wish the best for him. His goal crazy stint at Crotone attests to the talents that he possesses. We hope that this move can unlock the potential he has so he can deliver for his club and potentially for country again.
True but look at the way Porto has frustrated our talents...Mikel Agu,Awaziem,Nwakali[?],Yahaya,Irhene,Chidera Eze...this is my fear about that move...will they bench Marega,Aboubakar etc for Onuachu....? When Porto sends them on loan...they play first team and better football...they come back to Porto to be sent to B team or another loan or bench...mbanu...Awaziem is a case study

True but when i see the array of Nigerian talents Porto is wasting....i am alarmed really on that yet to be confirmed move to Porto....Portugal is higher than Denmark but Porto...mbanu...i do not know whose policy there is to buy Nigerian players then frustrate them....Agu,Awaziem,Chidera Eze,Irhene,Yahaya,Nwakali....there was even another new entrant...i have forgotten his name sef....Porto buys them and sends them on loan where they perform well bar Nwakali.....then brings them back to be benched....you understand my fear about that Porto move?

in other news Senegal beat our u20 2-0 and from reports am hearing
they totally outplayed us
am not confident about this under 20 team to be honest
Why did they TOTALLY out-play us? The coach was frustrated with release of the players he wanted to use to prosecute the championship...MOST of his first team players were not there. However i blame him for NOT HAVING A LARGE POOL OF LOCAL PLAYERS he can can call in a snap....I prefer that he goes round all the academies in Nigeria searching for players instead of this crazy search for FB....he should learn from Siasia...

My problem with this Nigerian under 20 is the sheer number of old men in the team. These guys will not last long in the game.
I pity the South Africans...they are so young but not really talented....just playing football....our old men will just out-muscle...out-smart..out-run them so fast

The EPl or Scottish whatever does really suite latin American players.... few who are physical can survive it...unlike Italian and Spanish league where they thrive best...i think Sadiq Umar falls into their class...he is not kpim-kpim-kpim grin grin type of footballer....he succeeded in Holland and even Italy to an extend....his football is more at ease with less show of physicality

Alata means pepper seller in Yoruba. Some of the earliest traders to the southern part of Ghana are ogbomoso traders who traded a lot in pepper. When the Ghanaian govt sent Nigerians out of Ghana a lot of these traders who have been established for decades there were affected, their properties forfeited, this was before our own retaliatory "ghana must go" ejection. So the term Alata has been used to describe Nigerians for a very long time in Ghana.
Thank you so much...i was wondering if those arguing about Liverpool,Barcelona etc were answering the question sef

Godwin Obaje moves to Plateau United. They already picked up Bernard Ovoke, Sikiru Olatunbosun and Gabriel Wassa. Next season is going to be very tough if it ever gets on the way.
Plateau played fine football last two years....the way they crashed out surprised me....but all these guys you mentioned...they have been here for long...is this not recycling? I think we need fresh legs and faces....Plateau should have an u17 team to nurture them into main team

The hype is not coming from us here in naija, it is coming from Spain. We didn't name him Samu they did. We didn't call him one of the brightest talents in La Liga, they did. So if u have a problem with that take it up with the folks at the best league in the world. I would think they know a thing or two about talent over there.
Send the message to AFOBEAR...what is written on his jersey is CHUKWUEZE...but they prefer to call him SAMU...just like they preferred to call Okocha JAY JAY....It is their press that is hyping the guy simple

How old is mbappe? 19yrs

How old is chukwueze? 19yrs

Did Chukwueze score or assist against Barca? No

Would Mbappe have scored if he played against Barca Yesterday? Most likely (90%)

Who just won best young player in the World football? Mbappe did

Moral of the Story.....let's start holding our boys to higher standards so that chukwueze's career doesn't go the same direction same way KC's career is currently going. That was how we hyped KC when\ he scored a lone goal in 7 matches and started comparing him to Mbappe (greatest football sin this year).

Chukwueze is trying and has been quite impressive considering his background but I know he can do ,uch better
So age has become one of the basis for comparing the duo? An Mbappe that won a world cup, played for Monaco, playing for PSG haba etc...with an upstart like Chukwueze? Look at Chukwueze s team mates at Chile 2015..thats where you should begin the comparison biko?

Our joy is that we have not had a player like him....left foot attacking from the right....so young...playing for a Spanish team...top team not minding their position...we are just excited...mbok....we know he is still a greenhorn...allow us to enjoy what we are watching....No one is comparing him with anybody...Samu....Barcelona was a big test for him and they gave him 7/10..
