Icon4s: Hmm.. Eyimba stadium. You have a point though. But I have not really seen good pictures of the current state of the facility to conclude.
The only other 2 stadiums with natural grass are the UJ Esuene stadium, Calabar and the Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna. But mehn...those stadiums are for the 20th century. Serious renovation need to be done to bring them to today's standards in less then 10months.
Plus the current administration is currently too focused on winning the next year's election to take hosting of the AFCON serious.
An option could be if Nigeria can co-host with Cameroun. It is even easier since we are neighbors. Each side will produce 3 stadiums each
CAF should have considered the poor state of facilities across Africa before expanding the AFCON to 24 nations. The bolded was a secret campaign promise to some regional federatins to vote in Ahmad Ahmad as president..to make it easier for them qualify through expansion of teams... |

hyness: Jimoh's management style is similar to Jegede's. He acquired some well managed businesses during OBJ govt, those businesses now are nothing to write home about - Nicon Insurance, Nicon Luxury Hotel formerly Le Meridien hotel Abuja ( that had even better standard than Abuja Sheraton be4) etc. I wonder why he is heading to another country where he may not be well known to source for fund through IPO for his Bank. These were solid assets that could have grown and gone global and benefit four generations following....why is it difficult for Nigeria businesses to outlast two generations? Ekene Dili Chukwu is struggling....Concord[Abiola],etc |

But currently and presently Solanke is wanted by a plethora of clubs in both the championship and EPL and still an England international albeit on the fringe.

godspeed: The qualification format for u 17 Africa championship (andultimately the world cup ) is so unfair to west Africa the traditional powerhouse at this level. It has been regionalized meaning countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Mali and Burkina Faso now have to fight for just one ticket.
This is really a coup on West Africa by CAF. Nna eee the thing pained me so much...how could WAFU allow such? West of African is always powerhouse in age football in Africa and the world..doing Africa proud each time...all the age group world cups won by Africa is from West Africa bar Cameroon olympic team...anyway we wait for the results... |

edi287: Tactical, not most entertaining or technical. Besides the Seria A last season was quite entertaining. Teams like Inter seem to be back on track with good signings. Roma are signing talented players and Napoli just got Ancelotti. It'll be even more exciting than last season Tactical meaning a lot brain work and re-strategesing non-stop...Tammy is all hit and run....kpum...gwooo....thats all....roughshod...brute movement....no craft nor guile...no bench in Italy is for him. We wait till they hit the same number of matches...opportunity matters...Look at Steven Gerrard..already a coach..but Sol Cambell still languishing despite having better coaching certificate...Scottish Premiership may be equivalent to English Championship...lets watch... |

I think that if Sadiq was allowed given the same opportunity as Tammy,he would have excelled more. At Roma-Serie A is the most tactical league in the world- those who know,know....there Sadiq was already scoring until a new coach arrived who preferred experience over youth...Dzeko over Sadiq..Tammy cannot even be on bench in Italy because of style of play..by the way how many english players have excelled in Serie A...Bar Gazza and Ince..very minuscle |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by gamaliel9: 7:50am On Jul 30, 2018 |
tbaba1234: Possibly but i do not think, it is that clear cut.
Sadiq Umar is terribly awkward to deal with. I feel he poses more of a danger when service is lacking because the boy will run at any defence. He creates danger. Tammy is a better finisher, i believe. If Sadiq received the same coaching like Tammy,he would be miles ahead of him....watching Sadiq you can he is like an unpolished precious metal..that accounts for his awkwardness and clumsiness...Give me a good coach...then between Tammy and Sadiq...i will choose the latter... |

Clementoke: You are well done sir. Still monitoring Umar sha before I make up my mind Thank you say.. I have taken interest i Rangers matches..only when he plays ooo... My submissions: He falls as usual..there was a case he fell inside the the 18..fans roared for a penalty....it could turn out good one day...positive aspect of his falls ;...His runs of the ball were quite good but it seemed some of his midfielders were not interested...his first touch was good..passes good..when he gets the ball,it seems something creative is about to happen...however that clumsiness is still there...we need to see more of him...this was just a friendly...we wait for a match situation to asses him more...but we have a talent here...Success,Awoniyi,Kayode...the battle is set |
