tbaba1234: They put in effort but our organization was very good. We just lacked attacking bite.
Yes,we were more organised than Argentina...they did not score us from open play...they were just careful with us..not giving us a space to counter-attack
TheSuperNerd: John Ogu vs Algeria in Algiers/Oran.
Also, not in the WCQs though but in Rohr's first official game. The last of our failed Afcon Qualifying games... Iheanacho vs Tanzania in Uyo.
These guys shoot very well in their clubs....why is it difficult in Super Eagles?...Serbia,Russia,Portugal,Brasil etc have all scored from outside the box
Odunayaw: Preach it! Preach it! Shoot! Shoot! Damn the crosses for now!
In all our world cup qualifiers, was their any goal we scored from outside the box? In our friendlies,Iheanacho scored a free-kick...no such now...we lacked so many things in our game against Croatia.....Ndidi,Balogun,Ekong,Iheanacho,VicMo,Etebo....they all can pull the trigger from outside the boss....But to do it in Croatia match...for where? We hope they start shooting..I remember someone posted them here having a shooting practice and we were even commmending Eze[pre selection] for HIS POWER AND POSTURE when we did not even see the shot oooooo
ChrisKels: That's a lie bro. About six out of the 11players that started for Senegal yesterday haven't spent up to seven months with the team. Guys like Wague, Sarr, Ndiaye, Niang, Sabaly etc are all new comers and I doubt they have had more than 7caps each for Senegal before that worldcup opener
Good..what i am driving at is, WE NEED MORE PLAYERS TO BE TESTED BEFORE ANY WORLD CUP
This Senegalese team has been on for more that four years now....our 1994 team was from 1990 up to 1998....This team is just about two years...Germany started rebuilding after 2014..they are still on it....what i am driving at is even if we crash out.... Rohr has done a good job....four year is ok for a coach to build a winning team...i am not excusing him for lacklustre performance against Croatia nor the players...but i am looking at long term....our player turnover for national team these days is today....Westerhof used more than 120 players before he arrived at 1994 world cup ticket.
Where did our speed go? When i watch other matches....there is so much intensity, pace and speed...we had these in abundance in the qualifiers and friendlies....what happened?
Anybody beating El-rufai in KADUNA will have to be a no nosense fellow...lacking in human feeling...and sense of justice and civility....this senator is too gentle to beat El-Rufai.
frowland: This guy good or bad is appealing to the REAL voters on election day with Rice and #500. This set of local people are not on SR, NL, PT Linda Ikeji. You can nag here all you care, the guy will still win elections be it in PDP or APC. Although, I think OP is being tricky. This looks like Salah Rice to me.
We lost a battle not a war....The match was beyond Shehu....i continue to say it....Musa has no business in the national...he should continue with club football. Our play plan did not work....I did not see the eagles i saw against Poland,Serbia and England...what happened?
We had no business playing high balls....they were taller and huger....I hope we play like NIGERIA in our next match....fast and determined....
The greatest threat to the growth of an African-Blacks too- is lack of self-confidence....The "i can do spirit it" is less than zero...but some are slowly crawling out it....i do not want to blame slave trade...i do not want to blame our leaders...it begins with the individual...with me...with you.If watched that APOCALYPTO film...the father told his son "do not bring it into our village" FEAR...IT CRAWLS INTO YOUR SOUL.....
safarigirl: is there anything Africa is ready for? We are in the 21st century and Africa is not ready for independence, for democracy, for ANYTHING. So, what should happen? They should wipe the continent off the world map?
Nobody is saying Africa will win the world cup, but this defeatist mentality most of you have grown with is sickening and is the reason why Africa will never be ready for anything. A continent filled with cowards that give up and run away at the first sign of struggle will never achieve a thing
Some of you call it realism. I call it cowardice. Failure never killed anyone, but anticipating failure will kill before the failure. This lack of faith in your teams will kill them more than whatever the opposition want to do
Everybody that has already been defeated before the end of this stage is undeserving to be African. Your forefathers would sneer at you all, the cradle of human civilization has been reduced to withering cowards. Losers.
Now jungle has matured... The atmosphere is right... The cameras are set... The world is watching including terrorists.... Bring on Croatia and the elements....
Somehow i feel he should not go u21....They invited him for their last qualifier...club football stopped him..He is a bomb....he also scores MESSI NEQUE goals.....one thing that marvels me is his is left footer but attacks from the right....Messi...Sallah...Robben...Kanshelskis...Damain Duff...are his template...
AIG07: A good performance from our boys will go a long way in complimenting the work of our football federation in branding our football and selling it to the world.
With the raves and reviews our clothing has generated in the last two months. It can spell a boom for our fashion industry. If our local clubs can see in to the market and flow with the tide, I see a revolution in our approach to our teams. E Don tey people get interest for Nigerian jersey. But today, the demands is not only within Nigeria or by Nigerians - it is worldwide.
I never knew people will like to associate themselves with Nigeria of today. We are presently the talk of the whole world. But this time around on a positive side. Thanks to FASHION. I hope the likes of Enyimba, Kano Pillars, MFM, Rangers and others will do the same.
Football is business today. You are on point. However,we need to back this up with a STRONG PERFORMANCE. So that our jersey and performance will permanently be in the world consciousness. Our marketing strategy has caught on...just like nollywood...but we need to reach that semi-final...give that pig one carton of Viagra
ChrisKels: After the World Cup, the NFF should look to bring in young goalkeepers to back up Uzoho. We cant have two men who have passed their prime as back ups to our young first choice.
Rohr should look to drill, Okoye, Alampasu, CJ Ejimadu, Olorunleke, Osigwe and Akpan to select the best and most ready as back up to Uzoho.
Ezenwa and Akpeyi are not the future neither are they the present since neither of them can dislodge Uzoho
Odogwu nwoke ka i bu...our future in goalkeeping is in the bag..Alampasu,Olorunleke,we know...if we continue with Rohr or a like-minded coach,be assured that they all will be invited if they play in second division in Europe. That Ejimadu is already grown but not like Uzoho
In the same context, the Cabinet adopted a decision to grant people overstaying their visa a chance to leave the country voluntarily without a "no entry" passport stamp. A new 6-month visa will be introduced for job seekers who overstayed their visa but wish to work in the country. The temporary visa enhances the UAE’s position as a land of opportunities and a destination for talents and professionals. As for Individuals who entered the UAE illegally, they will have the chance to leave voluntarily with a "no entry" stamp for two years given that they provide a valid return ticket. Equally, in a step aimed at simplifying the process and easing the financial burden on individuals wishing to adjust or renew their visa, they can now do so for a fee without having to leave and re-enter the country.
It is getting better...They have realised that immigration is part of development...not just coming to spend your money and go...Look at what Italians and Jews have done in US ..But why are niggas on this forum not writing anything on QATAR?
The first time we qualified for the world cup with a game to spare....the first time no iota of controversy whatsoever....firsttime we as many as 12 players are ready to play other positions other than their traditional position without complaints....no cabal...no prima donna....no enfant terrible....no coach`s players backed by agents....we will go far...
