Please, just take your time and watch it.

Your problem is that you take text out of context. Read it like how Isaiah wrote it. You will not see one minute idea of Jesus there. There server is Israel and so many places in Isaiah, God said that his servant is Israel/Jacob. Why will it change in chapter 53?

Please watch the video let Rabii Tovia Singer explain it well for you.
My problem with you is that you're confused. You switch to context which I explained for you yet you keep on running around. You got your explanation of the chapter from the Rabbi and left the scriptures again. Just stand on one spot.

For Isaiah to use we, our and us, he's referring to humanity including himself.
Let's say Israel was the Him being punished, he would have referred to the other party as "they" not we, our or us.

The scripture didn't mention God was punishing His servant Israel but punishing a man on behalf of Israel and humanity of which Isaiah was among.

Tell your Rabbi to come read this not just refering me to his video

You people always think that foreknowledge only happens on one side whereas there is also foreknowledge that this people could have done His Will.

Eg do you not already foreknow that your child can fall exams? But on the other hand do you not already also know that that same child can and will pass it?

And in all of this people's activities do you not see them deciding to do as they have willed and purposed?

Like in David did you not hear him say "I set my heart to know thy Law?" That is he chose to set his heart..

Please stop letting all those predestination shi be logs in your eyes
I explained this in detail later. Predestined or not, human decisions have a role to play

sonmvayina:
Ok, simple question,

In your opinion, who do you think was talking in Isaiah 53? From verse 1.
Who is the "we " and what did they hear?
What
Isaiah was a prophet who foretold the life of Christ and he started from verse 1. Isaiah started the narration from verse 1. Check from 3-7, he interchanged "we" with "our" and "us". So the "we" is same with "our" and "us" which refers to mankind. "He" or "Him" is Christ Jesus. This is English nah just like "We" went to visit "our" old teacher who gifted "us" a goat.

‭Isaiah 53:6 NIV‬
[6] We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

https://bible.com/bible/111/isa.53.6.NIV

‭Isaiah 53:10 NIV‬
[10] Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.

https://bible.com/bible/111/isa.53.10.NIV

I just highlighted some places for you to check. The Lord himself allowed Him Christ to suffer or afflicted Him because He bore the sins of mankind not just Israel. The judgement of the Lord that was to be on man was unleashed on Him as He was the substitute. It wasn't a mistake in any way and it was fulfilled exactly in the new testament when Christ died. Do you remember He wished the cup of suffering be taken away from Him at a time but had to submit to it. Isaiah's prophecy was fulfilled exactly. Go and read about the events that lead to His death.
You countered yourself when you said the Lord afflicted Israel and later found out it was a mistake. The He is Jesus Christ not Israel. The affliction was not a mistake. Since He accepted to act as substitute for mankind in bearing their iniquities, He must be the one to experience the full wrath of judgement intended for mankind. It was a bitter sacrifice which will give Him glory as prophesied by Isaiah and was later fulfilled. Read Philippians for more insight

This makes sense

Though every bad gift is just the opposite of the good. Like a coin with two sides. Tree of knowledge of good and bad kind of.
You're correct just that I'll point out that what you call bad gifts are good gifts used negatively. A gift in its real version is good and meant to be used positively. It becomes bad when it's corrupted for bad

God to have you here Gammarays

I'm responding to items 3 and 4

3. This is the ALMIGHTY that holds times and realities in himself so I would think he knows every future since he designed them. It's not like this is our averege futures forecaster or something. He knows the end from the beginning, ya know? You can't be implying God's decisions are reactionary like him sending Jesus to die for sin was an emergency rescue mission initiated in response to the fall.

4. Talking about abilities, we both agree that God made man and gave man abilities and qualities. What stops one from saying the qualities of being dishonourable and to lack discipline are Esau's gifts, as divinely ordained, and that the events of his life were his divine future as made, known, and ordained by the ALMIGHTY?
No 3: If plan A fails, Plan B will be put in place just like we humans do. Jesus Christ redeemed mankind because Adam plan A failed

No 4: I never said lack of discipline or dishonour was a divine gift given to Esau. God doesn't give bad gifts. You earlier pointed out man has a freewill. Esau had the will to either be disciplined or honest and that would have changed the future outcome. There are instances where men through decisions changed outcomes.

As for the case of Judas, he was labelled as a thief even before he betrayed the master. So the enemy saw him a fertile ground to use to actualise a decree. Whatever decrees made in the spirit realm must be accomplished on earth not just because it's a decree but by decisions of human good or bad.

For God's decree of redeeming Israel from Egypt, Moses was the man suited for the purpose and made himself available so he was utilized. If he had refused, the task would have been passed on to the next individual till it's accomplished. Same scenario with David, Jacob, Judas, Esau and co that's why I said good or bad.

I have taken the liberty to paste the direct translation from Hebrew to English. This is what it says.
"5 But he was pained because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his wound we were healed."

Like I said before, Isaiah 53 is a soliloquy. It is what the kings of the earth will say when they witness the salvation of Israel. They thought it was God that was punishing Israel through them. They were healed(satisfied )when they saw that they were inflicting pain on Israel for nothing and God was with them all along.
All these will happen as they know and hear now that Israel was innocent of all the crimes they had labelled against them.
Verse 1. Who has believed what we have heard(the salvation of Israel).

Do you get it now?

Context is key.
You're still creating confusion for yourself. In the context is "Him" or "He" which is an entity.
He was punished for our transgressions means an entity was punished for other people's sins. How can you now interpret it as them punishing Israel on behalf of God?

By His stripes or wound we were made whole or healed. Between the afflicted and the punisher according to your explanation, who should be made whole or healed? This shows you lack understanding.
According to the context, there's an entity "Him" and a group of people "we". What occurred is an exchange where the "He" took upon himself the transgressions, afflictions, sins, sickness of the "we".

First you acknowledged Israel sinned or so they thought. How come you concluded Israel was innocent? So they punished Israel by mistake 😂
According to history it was correct that Israel sinned and was punished by God. How can you conclude they were wrongly punished by those kings and you even said they were acting on behalf of God. They knew God's counsel of Judgement for them to embark on that task of punishment. How come you conclude by saying they now realise it was a mistake? Where did the error come from? God was with Israel yet the same God was punishing same Israel through them?
A victor or oppressor now needs healing or satisfaction instead of the conquered or oppressed?
Confusion at it's peak 😯

True. Very deep. And it's a conversation worth getting into. Appreciate your perspective.

Before David got anointed by Samuel, we have no record of him having done anything that showed he was obedient and his brothers weren't. Well, maybe from his faith-filled testimony about killing a lion and bear with his bare hands showing he'd had a close walk with God.

Now your opinion lends itself to my friend's argument about preordination. Since God sees all, knows all, and made all, then why does he yet judge anyone (if at all he does) for coming short?

Also, we know he gave us freewill and the power of choice and as we saw in Deutronomy 30:19 that good and bad, life and death are all laid bare before us and we're implored to make informed choices about them. Do choices not play any part in the outcome of the events of life or is any event and choice divinely preset?

David for instance, even if he was faithful and found obedience to God's will easy, who is to say if the reason he was able to do so wasn't because God put that ability as part of the constituents of his making?

In other words, since God made all, did he give some abilities unavailable to others, why yet judge all equally, and will that be fair? Why not just bestow the same ability to do his will on all and be had with it?
1. David had a good background as a shepherd that prepared him for the kingship role

2. God is Merciful and Just. The freewill given to Man doesn't mean he should live his life anyhow. Any Man who breaks even societal laws will face the consequences even though Man is free in quote. There's freedom and there's law and order.

3. If you know what is to happen in future and can make choices, you'll take decisions that'll favour you. God knows the future of every human ahead of time and takes His decisions accordingly. He's not unfair just as you're not unfair by taking a good decision that'll affect your future.

4. When God created Man and other creatures, He gave them different abilities. David had leadership qualities which he lived his life for. His brothers had theirs but didn't utilise them per say. The issue we have is we're bothered about what is not ours or doing what is not ours. Man can only fulfill his maximum potential if he follows his divine path. A bird will do a better flying job than an elephant 🐘.
If we focus and pay the sacrifice for our own personal callings, we'll be champions in them. God is wise!

This is my own little understanding
God is a Spirit in fact the Head of Spirits so sees ahead of time. He knows what will happen and plans ahead of it.
Esau, Reuben, Judas will be bad options to handle those important roles. Also they contributed to whatever happened to them.
It's a deep discussion if we're to go further.
God values obedience to him than positions so will allocate roles to whomever will play by His books. He can elevate a nobody that values Him over anyone that's so called fit. Example David and his brothers.

Exactly. When you think about it, TECNO is no longer just an ‘affordable option’ but they're now delivering flagship features like the AMOLED display and the likes in their latest phones. The good part is that they’re doing this without crossing into absurd price points. That’s what makes them a serious contender. Samsung will always be a giant but TECNO is becoming the people’s choice for good reason.
You mean same Amoled used by Samsung since 2010 is what you're boasting of an achievement in 2025? 😕
