Nigeria's electoral commission chairman says the oil-rich country's National Assembly election has been postponed until Monday over polling problems.Attahiru Jega made the announcement Saturday as the nation should have been voting. The announcement led to a breakout of violence in the southern part of the state capital where police used tear gas to disperse the crowd and arrested one suspect.Polls in Abuja, the seat of Nigeria's government, were cancelled due to a shortage of ballot papers — a worrying sign for the rest of the country.And in the central Nigerian state of Kwara, a shortage of ballot papers led to an indefinite cancellation.Saturday's election will decide who should occupy seats in the country's National Assembly, positions worth more than $1 million in salaries and perks. That doesn't include the lawmakers' true power — the ability to direct where billions of dollars in oil revenues get spent annually with little or no oversight.Nigeria, which became a democracy in 1999 after years of coups and military rulers, has a history of flawed elections. Police stopped all vehicles moving around in cities, though Nigeria's sprawling countryside likely remains lightly guarded. A crowd of youths marched through one poor neighborhood in Ibadan, a city about 90 miles (150 kilometers) inland from Nigeria's commercial capital of Lagos.One youth shouted in the local Yoruba language: "If anyone plays around, I will kill them." Further up the road, a group of soldiers had gathered around a mounted machine gun set up in a traffic roundabout.

hello all, i really need to know how true this is,
some friends of mine told me etisalat has reduced the price of the monthly BIS to 2000 naira.
I have checked everywhere online but all to no avail, the friends claim they saw it in the guardian newspaper.

@ezebinagwu the nokia n900 is not a symbian phone, so there is absolutely no need for signing apps, it doesnt make use of the archaic .sis and .sisx files.
@poster the n900 is extremely open source, you can toy with it all you want.

@poster The nokia N900 is not a phone, it is a mobile computer wit smartphone functions, **No Pun intended** but dis device wasn't made for the regular joe, if u avin problems wit getting apps,games and the lot on the device, then you probably don't deserve to own an N900,give it 2 sum1 who can maximise the power that the beast of a device yields.
By the way I own an N900 and a blackberry(crappiest O.S by d way, tnk God 4 BIS), The N900 is 1 of the best things that has happend 2 me, m crazi about it, #Pronto

I am a guy in my early twenties, of late i discovered that my hair in front has started thinning not receding,
normally i make use of a brush on my hair but something prompted me to use a comb, the moment i ran the comb through my hair i couldn't believe the amount of hair that came off and got stuck to the comb.

I am the proud owner of a nokia n900(wonderfull phone by the way) of which i make use of a mtn sim to browse the internet thats the 1000k/100mb/month plan,but right now i want to update my phone but the update size is about 115mb,and the download/update cant be paused once I begin,and using a computer is out of the question because,
1) my laptop is as good as a desktop because of bad battery.
2) no stable&fast internet access.
Pls i need to come up with a solution fast.
