Buried under the cascade of serious national news Wednesday was the alarming story that Gov. Ralph Northam of Virginia had declared a state of emergency through next Tuesday evening in Richmond, the state capital. The declaration includes a ban on firearms and other weapons near Capitol Square, where the Democratic-led state legislature meets. Monday is a scheduled "lobbying day" for the Virginia Citizens Defense League, a far right pro-gun group, and Northam's office announced that law enforcement has "identified credible threats of violence surrounding the event, along with white nationalist rhetoric and plans by out-of-state militia groups to attend."

This announcement, if anything, downplays the severity of the situation on the ground in Richmond. In recent weeks, right-wing extremists, furious that Democrats have finally won control of Virginia's state house and plan to pass a series of rather minor gun control laws, have whipped themselves into a frenzy online, spreading outrageous rumors — such as claims that all self-defense training, even in martial arts, will become a felony — in an effort to stoke mass hysteria. There are real concerns that this could turn into another situation like the one that unfolded not far away in Charlottesville in the summer of 2017, when a white supremacist rally descended into a riot, resulting in multiple injuries and one murder.

Thousands of pro-gun fanatics are expected to descend on the Virginia state capital on Martin Luther King Day, and, until Northam's declaration of a state of emergency, clearly had expected to brandish weapons and look as menacing as possible to lawmakers who want to reform the state's gun laws. Many have taken to social media, saying they are showing up armed anyway and promising a "boogaloo," which is far-right code for an armed insurrection against the government.

...There are new records made public on Wednesday which include voicemails, photographs, videos and messages that shed further light on the activities Giuliani undertook in Ukraine that ultimately led to the impeachment inquiry in Congress – including efforts to have Yovanovitch dismissed...of course not many people will believe that these documents existed...it is now 24 hours...neither Trump, Pence, Guillaini nor the WH have released any statement about the documents almost 400 pages...

WASHINGTON — New impeachment evidence released by House Democrats on Tuesday included texts sent between Connecticut congressional candidate Robert Hyde and Soviet-born businessman Lev Parnas in 2019.
It appears Hyde worked with Parnas to monitor the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch’s movements in Ukraine, as a campaign unfolded to remove her from her post. The text suggest that Hyde worked with a Ukrainian team to track Yovanovitch, possibly with the goal of interfering with her in some fashion.
“If you want her out, they need to make contact with security forces,” Hyde wrote to Parnas on March 26, 2019.

“They are willing to help if we/you would like a price,” Hyde wrote in one chilling message. “Guess you can do anything in the Ukraine with money... what I was told.” Hyde did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday.

Attorney General Bill Barr was "part of the team," and closely involved in Ukraine matters, Parnas said he had surmised, although he did not provide direct evidence. Parnas insisted that it would be impossible to imagine that Barr was not aware of the administration's plotting.

Frankly I don't care about the whole drama going on at the Royal Family in the UK. The only thing that makes me ponder is the fact that Meghan wants to return to Hollywood to LA but at the expense of Harry (In my humble opinion). What does Harry stand to gain by going to LA? The only person that benefits here is Meghan. In d future Harry may become a sitting duck only waiting to be served d Divorce papers. I feel for Harry though, but he allowed himself to be in dis awkward situation. I don't blame the British media for lashing out at Meghan; that's because these folks already know the end game and how everything is going to play out. Meghan is d selfish one here and Harry (who presently appears to playing along nicely like a lamb led to the slaughter) will soon get the rude awakening in due time.
