Former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is making efforts to prevent Labour Party figure, Peter Obi, from participating in the 2027 presidential election.

Tambuwal claimed that the ruling party is wary of Obi’s growing influence and political strength ahead of the polls.

“APC is afraid of Peter Obi and is determined to keep him off the 2027 ballot. But despite their efforts, he will overcome them,” he said.

The reality is that some people who are supposed to be positively impacted by Obi's candidacy are the ones celebrating the conspiracy against his emergence. Mr Peter Obi is not a poor man for goodness sake. Some people borrow for their political campaigns and to succeed politically. But Obi uses his own money and can never borrow for politics. Nigeriasns are supposed to be the ones begging him to contest and not the other way round. That's why some people say that Nigeria and Nigerians deserve what they are receiving.
