Christianity EtcRamadan 2024: Let Us Demonstrate The Best Qualities Of Islam- Dr Olayinka Alausa by gazzy01(op): 5:12pm On Mar 10, 2024
DR. OLAYINKA ALAUSA WISHES MUSLIMS HAPPY RAMADAN

Reported by Olumide Adebayo (McAnelka)

Dr. Olayinka Alausa extends warm greetings and well wishes to Muslims who have begun the month-long observance of Ramadan. He emphasizes the importance of demonstrating the best qualities of Islam through personal actions rather than mere words.

In his message to mark the start of the holy month, Dr. Olayinka encourages individuals to apply the teachings of Islam in their daily lives, particularly by showing kindness and love towards others. He emphasizes the need for deep reflection, a heightened sense of God-consciousness, and the avoidance of all actions that harm humanity.

Dr. Olayinka highlights that Ramadan involves abstaining from food and drink from dawn to dusk, fostering solidarity between the rich and the poor who experience hunger together. This period strengthens the bonds between different socio-economic groups.

As the founder of the Omo Alausa Foundation, Dr. Olayinka emphasizes that Ramadan goes beyond refraining from eating and drinking; it serves as a reminder to abstain from all forms of evil and transgressions that negatively impact humanity.

Furthermore, Dr. Olayinka expresses concern over the activities of traders who exploit the beginning of Ramadan by artificially increasing prices, including those of essential goods. He emphasizes that such exploitation goes against the spirit of Ramadan and the principles of Islam.

In conclusion, Dr. Olayinka urges individuals to not only observe the spiritual aspects of Ramadan but also to share their blessings with the less fortunate. By doing so, they will be rewarded by Allah for their acts of kindness and generosity.

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is a sexually transmitted infection that threatens the reproductive and general health of the female gender.

HPV doesn't present any symptoms and thus can wreck its havoc for years without discriminating between old and young women, but the "good news" is that HPV can be prevented!

Yes! Although there is no treatment for the virus itself, it can be prevented through vaccination. it is to this end that the Lagos State Government under the leadership of our empathic and amiable governor- Babajide Sanwo-Olu has advocated that every girl-child between the ages of 9years to 14years be vaccinated so as to prevent the 'ills' of HPV which are genital warts and cervical cancer.

You are hereby enjoined to visit the nearest Primary Health Center for a free vaccination today!

Parents and guardians are also advised to seize this opportunity to vaccinate their female child(ren) to ensure a cancer-free future!

PoliticsTinubu Is Trying His Best–founder, Omo Alausa Foundation by gazzy01(op): 9:59am On Jul 07, 2023
The founder of Omo Alausa Foundation, Dr. Olayinka Rasheed Alausa has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is really trying his best and it is evident in some of the key things he has done in his first few weeks in office which has shown that, "there's a lot that can be achieved if we come together".

He said this during an interview with Citizen News Hub at the after Eid party he organized for the 57 coordinators and excos of Omo Alausa Foundation.

According to him, the party was organized to serve as a breather for them after the travels to their hometown for the celebrations.

On the hike in fuel and other economic challenges, he encouraged the citizens to stay calm as,

"There's always challenges in every country. Even countries that are years into democracy still face challenges. And for us that are 23 years into it, it is expected that be there'd be a lot of challenges. But there's a lot of recognizable difference in year 2000 and year 2023. A lot of development has happened and it will continue like that. We may not reach El dorado in our lifetime but our generation would benefit from it".

He further advised to government not go shy away from the fact that the development of everyone in a country is dependent on individual prosperity.

"If the majority are poor, then the country is poor. Rather than some people earning unmerited millions, a token of 20,000 naira to the vulnerable ones in the country can help them live better life".

"The citizens should be upright as they are the best reflection to who a Nigerian should be. If we all are bad people, the country would be bad to us. If you want to receive goodness, be good to people and you'll get it back in multiple folds", he urged the citizenry.

CultureYoruba Youths Of Ogun State Calls On Government For Security And Development by gazzy01(op): 1:32am On Jan 01, 2021
*Official Press Release*
*(For immediate release)*

*1st of January, 2021*

*AMIDST NEW YEAR (2021) FESTIVITIES: YORUBA YOUTHS OF OGUN STATE CALLS ON GOVERNMENT FOR SECURITY, DEVELOPMENT AND PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE AMONGST CITIZENS FOR A BETTER NIGERIA*

It's a known and undeniable fact that the state of our beloved fatherland (Nigeria) is so worrisome, and it calls for all possible attentions, clamours and prayers to get it back on its feet economically, morally, academically, socially as the Giant of Africa that we are.

Hence, while addressing the press, the No. 1 Omoluabi Ọdọ Oodua of Ogun State who happens to be the Chairman of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW) speaking on behalf of the entire Yoruba Youths extends his New Year felicitation to the good people of the Gateway State and Nigeria at large.

He further used this medium to call on the attention of the Government at all levels to call for more security for lives and properties of our people, as a matter of fact Nigeria is becoming a country where incessant killings is now becoming a matter of normalcy, we hear and see bad news everyday now in our country and it is getting to a point we are all getting used to it; he said.

We therefore call on all our country political leaders, elites and traditional rulers to get up on their feet and do something as a matter of urgency before the future of our country gets shortened in the hands of terrorists, kidnappers, untrained/careless officers (both Military and Paramilitary).

And to our fellow youths, colleagues, and the general public, let's shun all acts of indecency and embrace peace, because good behavior (Iwa Omoluabi) is a key as our elders in yoruba in their wise words will always say "Iwa rere lẹsọ eniyan, ka bi eyan ko tún ara ẹ bi ni iyi Omoluabi". We must all have at the back of our minds that if we have a peaceful, loving and united coexistence amongst ourselves irrespective of our religious beliefs or ethnic differences, there's no way our country would not be a safe place for all.

However, we must also remind us all once again that the second wave of the global pandemic known as Covid-19 is still very much rampant and even worse than the first wave, so we must all try as much as possible to strictly adhere to the laid down rules and guidelines the our Presidential Task Force (PTF) on covid-19 and the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), in the battle to curb the spread of the virus. Remember health is wealth and when there's life there's always hope for a better future.

To this end, on behalf of all the entire body of executives, members and stakeholders of Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide, Ogun State Council, we wish both the government and citizens of our beloved Gateway state under the led administration of the youths friendly and listening Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun (M.F.R), a prosperous, war-free and virus-free New Year ahead. Compliments of the season!

Politics774 000 Jobs: Youth Body Berates Keyamo Committee Over Non-inclusion Of SSA Yout by gazzy01(op): 2:01pm On May 07, 2020
774 000 Jobs: Youth Body berates Keyamo committee over Non-Inclusion of SSA Youth and Students to Mr. President, Others.

The Nigerian Youth Congress have for the purpose of transparency, accountability and inclusiveness berated the Honourable Minister of State for Labour, Mr Festus Keyamo SAN over his deliberate exclusion of the Office of the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs and the Nigerian Youth Congress Representatives in the Inter-Ministerial Committee his Ministry earlier set up for the Recruitment of the 774,000 youths that President Muhammadu Buhari led administration directed to be carried out by their Ministry.

In a statement jointly signed and made available to the media by the Chairman Governing Board, Dr Mallam Yakubu Shendam and President of the Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu, the NYC insisted that the Inter-Ministerial Committee set up by Festus Keyamo SAN does not reflect the wishes and aspirations of the Youth in the country.

It is a statement of fact that youths make up a large percentage of the population of the nation and there are those who interface with students daily. It is inappropriate and unfortunate that The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs, Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, the Youth body is sufficiently excluded which is not proper for the transparency earlier stated by the Honourable Minister.

He said, how can a committee be set up to recruit youth and the Office of the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs and the Representatives of the Youth Body is not carried along. We want to believe that this is an oversight which needed to be looked into immediately.

In his words "How can you recruit Youths without the input of the Ministry in charge of Youth Development in the Country, without the input of the person in charge of youth for Mr President which is the Office of the SSA to the President on Youth and Students Affairs and the Representatives of the Youth Body. It is like trying to recruit Doctors and Nurses without the input of the Ministry of Health and the Representatives of the Nigeria Medical Association or trying to recruit a Lawyer without the input of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Nigeria Bar Association."

We strongly call on the Honourable Minister of Labour in the person of Dr. Chris Ngige to immediately intervene in this issue and incorporate the Youth Structure, Office of the SSA to the President on Youth and Students Affairs and Office of the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development for proper synergy. Any attempt to do otherwise will make the Nigeria Youths believe such action is inappropriate, and not transparent.

We also call on Mr. President to call Keyamo and his Inter-Ministerial Committee to order before the Youth of this Country will Mobilize against the Committee.

Reacting in the same direction the Board Chairman said; “Our people are not happy and we strongly believe that proper incorporation of the Youth Structure in the Country will bring sanity to the Process and make the Youths believe that they truly want to recruit and not the deceit of the past”.

To cap it all, the President of the Nigerian Youth Congress said that the youths await a positive response on this matter.

The National President of APC Youth League - Comrade Solomon Farean Atir has canvassed the entire youths of the State of Osun to vote for the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the September 22 governorship election, Alhaji (Comrade) Gboyega Oyetola.

Comr Atir who spoke from Abuja via telephone conversation to the State of Osun Coordinator of the League Comr Muyiwa Oye and other officers on ground early hours of Friday before the rally, expressed certainty that the people should expect greater dividends of democracy, prompt payment of salaries, infrastructure, youth empowerment and socio-economic development when Oyetola emerged as the governor of the state.

PoliticsPress Statement On Current Fuel Situation In Nigeria by gazzy01(op): 6:02pm On May 11, 2016
11 May 2016 | PRESS STATEMENT ON CURRENT FUEL SITUATION IN NIGERIA
We have just finished a meeting of various stakeholders presided over by His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The meeting had in attendance the Leadership of the Senate, House of Representatives, Governors Forum, and Labour Unions (NLC, TUC, NUPENG, and PENGASSAN).
The meeting reviewed:
1. The current fuel scarcity and supply difficulties in the country.
2. The exorbitant prices being paid by Nigerians for the product. These prices range on the average from N150 to N250 per litre currently.
3. The meeting also noted that the main reason for the current problem is the inability of importers of petroleum products to source foreign exchange at the official rate due to the massive decline of foreign exchange earnings of the federal government. As a result, private marketers have been unable to meet their approximate 50% portion of total national supply of PMS.
Following a detailed presentation by the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, it has now become obvious that the only option and course of action now open to the government is to take the following decisions:
1. In order to increase and stabilise the supply of the product, any Nigerian entity is now free to import the product, subject to existing quality specifications and other guidelines issued by Regulatory Agencies.
2. All Oil Marketers will be allowed to import PMS on the basis of FOREX procured from secondary sources and accordingly PPPRA template will reflect this in the pricing of the product.
Pursuant to this, PPPRA has informed me that it will be announcing a new price band effective today, 11th May, 2016 and that the new price for PMS will not be above N145 per litre.
We expect that this new policy will lead to improved supply and competition and eventually drive down pump prices, as we have experienced with diesel. In addition, this will also lead to increased product availability and encourage investments in refineries and other parts of the downstream sector. It will also prevent diversion of petroleum products and set a stable environment for the downstream sector in Nigeria.
We share the pains of Nigerians but, as we have constantly said, the inherited difficulties of the past and the challenges of the current times imply that we must take difficult decisions on these sorts of critical national issues. Along with this decision, the federal government has in the 2016 budget made an unprecedented social protection provision to cushion the current challenges.
We believe in the long term, that improved supply and competition will drive down prices.
The DPR and PPPRA have been mandated to ensure strict regulatory compliance including dealing decisively with anyone involved in hoarding petroleum products.
Thank you.

PoliticsOgun State Assembly Approves New Logo To Commemorate The 40th Anniversary Of The by gazzy01(op): 5:56pm On Jan 15, 2016
The Ogun State House of Assembly has endorsed the new logo for the state as presented to the House by Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
The logo is to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the creation of the state.
Adeyinka Mafe, the Majority Leader, moved the motion for the ratification of the changes to the logo and this was seconded by Yetunde Shogbeyin, a member.
The majority leader, while opening debate on the motion, said the new logo came at the right time when the state was preparing for its 40th anniversary.
Mafe said the new logo showed the importance of the state and what it stood for in terms of education, adding that the state recorded many firsts in the area of education.
Mafe said the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, an indigene of the state, was the first Nigerian to introduce free education in the then Western Region.
The majority leader said the top right segment of the logo also represented the importance of commerce and industry.
According to him, Ogun State is known to be the home of industry in the country.
According to him, the logo also has a touch of agriculture, the pride of the state, and an indication that state is blessed with vast land for agriculture.
Wale Alausa, the Minority Leader, said the changes to the state logo were timely, noting that there was the need for the state to move with time.
Alausa said the logo indicated that the state was home of education and that all the nooks and crannies of it were well represented in the new logo.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the governor had on January 4 submitted a letter to the House requesting the lawmakers’ approval for the new logo.
