philip0906:That is very true sha. A school like OAU won't take Accounting for 5years, then, 150k Hell No, that will be the father of all Aluta. In my own opinion, I don't see the benefit in this though, why not just graduate in 4 years and use the service year to write Skills and Professional instead of paying more money, stay one more year in school and still have Professional to write. Afterall, spending 5years studying Accounting is not a basis for passing ICAN exam in one sitting. |
Tammy Abraham scored his first goal of pre-season as Chelsea produced an impressive showing to beat Barcelona 2-1 in Japan. The Blues should have already been ahead by the time Abraham opened the scoring 11 minutes before the break, but he had skied a sitter moments earlier. However, he made no mistake second time around when Jorginho robbed Sergio Busquets and, from his pass, the forward rounded Marc-Andre ter Stegen and slotted in. An entirely rotated Barcelona side showed more after half time but rarely forced Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga into a meaningful save, and instead the Blues added a late second when Ross Barkley smacked the ball inside Neto's near post with nine minutes remaining. Barcelona did have something to smile about in added time when substitute Ivan Rakitic received the ball 20 yards out, and after taking a single touch fired in a powerful effort into the top corner beyond a helpless Arrizabalaga. How Chelsea saw off Barca Chelsea narrowly avoided conceding a second-minute opener when Oriol Busquets nodded over unmarked from a corner but once they got their bearings, they controlled the first half against a strong Barca side - albeit playing their first game of pre-season - as the Spaniards struggled to deal with a high press and compact defence. The Blues should have led when Emerson found Christian Pulisic inside the box, and his shot was turned away straight into Abraham's path. The striker had an open goal to aim at - but lifted his first-time effort over the bar. Abraham made no mistake second time around when Chelsea's press worked to perfection, as Jorginho caught Sergio Busquets in possession and played Abraham through, and he calmly rounded Ter Stegen and fired in the opener. The first half provided little attacking opportunity for Barca after that early header, with debutant Antoine Griezmann frustrated by the Blues' stout defence, but straight from the restart they began to probe more intensely, and Malcom fired wide of the near post within two minutes, before Carles Perez and Carles Alena both wasted good positions. But late on Chelsea added a second of the game, when Barkley received the ball from Marcos Alonso and rattled the ball inside Neto's near post, with the goalkeeper unsighted by Jean-Clair Todibo. There was finally something for Barcelona when Rakitic took aim when given too much space 20 yards out a minute into injury time, and he duly beat Arrizabalaga with a rising drive into the top corner. I hope gorilla will not swallow the money from the Glass House. They always have a record of missing money from time immemorial |
Lukaku will be a strong force and Man Utd will regret selling him. Utd will suffer for it if they decide to go on with inconsistent Rashford. I am almost certain that Conte will bring out the best in Lukaku. |
Kemi Olunloyo and controversies. Guess she has forgotten her Port Harcourt Maximum Prison experience so fast. |

5 REASONS WHY YOU MUST VISIT IBADAN TO ENJOY YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY 1. Ibadan is the third cheapest city to live in Nigeria According to a recent study carried out in Nigeria, it was discovered that Ibadan is the third cheapest city to live in after Ikot Ekpene and Aba. The standard of living in Ibadan is generally low and as such, people can live conveniently on a salary of N50,000. Unlike in Lagos State where people spend a lot of money commuting to work daily, the cost of transportation in Ibadan is unbelievably affordable. Commuters pay as low as N50 to get to a far destination, a situation which is not possible in Lagos and many other states. 2. Ibadan is home to very affordable luxury hotels in Nigeria The city of Ibadan has a plethora of affordable hotels ranging from luxury five star hotels to regular hotels. The room rates of hotels in Ibadan are unbelievably affordable when compared to hotels in Lagos. For instance, Premier Hotel, a five star hotel in Ibadan has room rates starting from less than NGN 20,000 where as a similar five star hotel in Lagos have room rates starting from NGN 50,000 and above. 3. Ibadan has a place in the history of Africa Historically, the city of Ibadan is a place to be reckoned with. It is notable for being the largest city in West Africa. Asides its large land mass, it also houses the first sky scrapper in the whole of Africa. Cocoa House, a building towering above a height of 100metres is the first tall urban building in the African continent. Formerly referred to as “Ile Awon Agbe” (meaning house of farmers), the modest 24 storey high-rise building is a major landmark in Ibadan. Furthermore, during the middle of the eighteenth century, Ibadan rose to prominence as the presiding military power house in southwest Nigeria. The city of Ibadan is also the site of one of the first universities in sub-Saharan Africa. The University of Ibadan is the first university in Nigeria as well. 4. The people of Ibadan are very hospitable The people of Ibadan are one of the most hospitable people in Nigeria. They are usually warm and cordial to people and they receive guests with open hands. As such, if you are looking for a new place to go on tourism in Nigeria, you will never go wrong with Ibadan. To a large extent, the Ibadan spirit of hospitality has everyone stuck there. People live harmoniously with each other with quarrels hardly ever arising. 5. Ibadan is home to the tastiest indigenous meals in Southwestern Nigeria The Ibadan people are notable for being the best at preparing “amala and ewedu”, one of the most popular Yoruba meal. Amala and Ewedu is a very important meal in southwest Nigeria. In fact, it is often described as one of the tourist attractions found in the city of Ibadan. It is a super spicy delicacy that is served in all traditional functions in the city. One of the major benefits of this meal is its very healthy nature. Nutritionists assert that the combination of Amala and Ewedu contains vitamins, minerals and fiber that will protect the body from degenerative terminal diseases. In summary, Amala and Ewedu is a “super” meal. Words are not enough to describe how amazing this meal taste. I will suggest you book the next flight or board the next bus and head to the city of Ibadan to have a feel of this super meal yourself. |

Britain’s richest man Jim Ratcliffe refused to rule out on Tuesday, an attempt to buy Premier League club Chelsea from Roman Abramovich. Ratcliffe is already involved in football after purchasing Swiss side Lausanne in 2017, while his company has also expressed an interest in French outfit Nice. The 66-year-old Manchester United fan has been linked with a bid to take over from Abramovich at Chelsea after the Russian reportedly took a more hands-off role in Stamford Bridge business this season. Speaking at the launch of cycling’s Team Ineos, the rebranded Team Sky taken over by Ratcliffe, the billionaire founder of chemicals giant Ineos said he would not shut the door on a potential approach for Chelsea. “You never say no, but I don’t know where those conversations will finish,” Ratcliffe told BBC Sport. “I think we’ve dipped our toe in the water with football. It’s a complicated sport, it’s a complicated world. “We’ve bought this club in Switzerland and it’s been really educational. We haven’t got to where we’ve got to in the chemical and business world by being impetuous or rash or stupid. “We recognise it’s a very complicated world. We’re not in a desperate hurry to get to the end game.” Chelsea are said to be valued by Abramovich at £4 billion ($5.2 billion), with Ratcliffe worth a reported £21 billion ($27 billion). Abramovich, 52, is not believed to have attended any Chelsea games since May 2018. (AFP) https://punchng.com/ratcliffe-refuses-to-rule-out-chelsea-bid/

Angry pensioners in Abia on Wednesday staged a protest at the venue of this year’s Workers Day celebration over the non-payment of 28-month pension arrears. News Agency of Nigeria reports that almost immediately the Head of Service, Mr. Onyii Wamah, who represented Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, mounted the dais to take the salute, the pensioners marched from their canopy to the centre stage, ahead of the commencement of the march past. The protesters, who were clad in all-black attires, and equipped with walking sticks and placards, stood still in front of Wamah, who later came down from the dais. The protesting senior citizens created more scene when some of them sat on bare floor, attracting sympathy from the crowd which scrambled to catch a better picture of the drama. NAN reports that inscriptions on some of the placards read: “Stop this mercy killing and gross tyranny, pay pension, gratuity;” “Pension payment is now a taboo in Abia State,” among others. The protesters stayed put for about 15 minutes, during which the programme, especially the march past, was disrupted, before they were later persuaded to relocate to their canopy. Chairman of the state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Mr. Chukwuma Udensi, said the protest was intended to draw public attention to the plight of pensioners in Abia. Udensi said: “We are being owed 19 months now, added to the nine months owed us by the past administration, which will amount to 28 months. “We call on Abia Government to pay pensioners of Abia, because most of our colleagues have died due to unpaid retirement benefits.” The state Public Relations Officer of NUP, Mr. Julius Ikpe, said, “In the present administration from November 2017 till date, no pensioner has received any payment.” State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr. Uchenna Obigwe, expressed dismay over the steadily increasing salary arrears and unpaid retirement benefits in Abia. “This situation is worrisome, particularly when the pensioners are not getting their monthly pensions regularly. “Congress still repeats her plea for the sum of N150m for gratuities monthly,” Obigwe said. Responding, the governor said he had taken note of the complaints and needs of the workers and pensioners, adding that urgent steps would be taken to address them. Ikpeazu also expressed the willingness of the government to pay the N30,000 minimum wage. “We await a circular from the Federal Government concerning the minimum wage and I assure you that we will not reduce the amount but will ensure that we pay N30,000,” the governor said. Cletus77:My brother... God help you sha! But the things you hear "some Igbos" spew here is nothing compared to what is being broadcast on Biafra Radio (All thanks to Keke and Taxi Drivers over here with their proud Isreali and Biafran flag). Anytime I hear the hate being propagated on that radio, I lose more hope for the coexistence of this nation. Both tribes are the bane of their own problems. The North keeps enjoying from the divide we ferment against each other while we seem satisfied with Vice Presidency position. Osinbajo and Obi are far brighter minds than their "Masters", yet we allow the North divide us further. How many people died in the North due to election violence compared to the South? The unholy marriage of 1914 is not helping us but I support Regionalism than Cessation cos we need each other than we think. God bless Nigeria. |
I hope it is not true!!!! |
Go to Gbagada General Hospital instead. They have better facility and the cost might be cheaper for the test there. |
Actually, the candidate ID popped out after every one of us completed the application. But like every other recruitment portal, it is usually included in the mail that shows completion of application or accessible when you login back to the portal. Didn't save mine too because I was expecting I will get it with the confirmation mail.It is well. I have also used the 3890 which is the job ID number though, but no mail yet. |
Moonrules:Result will be out today. But that will be later this afternoon |
Good Job! Also arrest police vans that do same especially the majority in Port Harcourt. Infact, I have learnt to check both sides even on dualised roads before crossing cos Police van might be coming anti-traffic and the always drive at full speed. |

Africa needs to learn alot from Nigeria's Relentless Entrepreneurial Spirit - Dr Patrick Lumumba Kenyan activist and iconic public speaker, Professor Patrick Lumumba has said that the African continent looks to Nigeria for direction and inspiration especially as regards the relentless fighting spirit of the average Nigerian to succeed. Dr Lumumba was speaking at events marking this year's Face of Okija Cultural Festival in Anambra state. He said the likes of Dr Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi who has built a conglomerate of companies from scratch employing thousands of people in various fields need to be celebrated rather than the public penchant to glorify politicians that actually contribute little to the society. Dr Lumumba said the companies like Nestoil, Neconde, White Dove, B&Q and the other companies that make up the Obijackson Group could not have been in existence if a man like Dr Ernest Azudialu-obiejesi did not dare to dream despite daunting challenges. Dr Lumumba who was once the Chairman of Kenya's anti corruption commission said the key to Africa's growth lies in the sustainable support for entrepreneurs through creation of enabling environment for private enterprise to thrive throughout the continent. On democracy he said Africa will get it right the day Nigeria gets it right. He said Nigeria stands in a very unique position in Africa and for all African countries, and that many believe Nigeria holds the key to the problems of the African continent. He also urged Africa to focus on the things that matter; the things that build and grow the continent, things that impact the people. “By February 2019, Nigerians will go to the polls to elect their leaders. And I must state that the day Nigeria gets it right, Africa gets it right.” He continued: “Young people in Nigeria and across Africa must identify what is in their best interest and actively participate in the electoral process. They must understand the significance and power of their votes. What are the policies on the table? Are we voting people for what they have done, for what they can do or for the hand-outs they offer before the elections?"
