Last year, Ugandan authorities had issued an
arrest warrant for Nigerian pop star Wizkid,
who cancelled a planned concert due to
health reasons.
Due to his inability to perform and wow his
Ugandan fans, the Daddy Yo crooner, Wizkid
has announced that he would be holding free
shows in Uganda this year.
Via his twitter handle, Wizkid said it would be
a 2 day show to make up for last year.
However, the Starboy Worldwide lead act is
yet to announce dates to the event.
He tweeted saying; I’m doing free shows in
Uganda this year! 2days free to make up for
last time!

Singer 9ice sat down for an interview with
veteran TV personality Funmi Iyanda and they
got to discuss 9ice's broken marriage
specifically and marriages in general.
Iyanda recalled the last time she saw him was
at his house when he was still married to his
first wife. She said she was sad that his
marriage hit the rocks and asked if he was
married again as the papers report. This he
denied.
When Funmi asked him to clear the air on his
status, the Gongo Aso singer launched into an
explanation on the problem with modern day
marriages.
"I'm single but I'm not searching because it's
not part of my priority right now. I've dealt with
this topic so many times and people just tend
to take the negative side of it but it's like they
don't understand what I'm saying because
they're not in my shoe."
He continued: "Marriage is not for this
generation... I have my reasons(for saying that)
because, as a Nigerian, as a Yoruba man, there
are some culture and tradition that you're being
taught when you're being brought up as a man.
You want the same thing from your wife (but)
you're not going to get it from today's woman.
because then we have exposure. They are the
ones that sent us to school. And I still want my
woman to serve me food and kneel down. Ejo
Aunty, who's going to do that for me now?"
He added: "but you're not going to get that as
a man, so we today's men, we need to get that
into our thick skull that you're not going to get
the same thing your mom is giving to your dad.
You are going to get something different
because who you're getting married to is quite
different from your mom. But we are not ready.
That's why you see that this generation are
losing marriages, six months and it's dissolved.
He went on to advise people to marry for the
right reasons and not out of societal pressures
and asked that people are certain beyond all
reasonable doubt before going into marriage. He
warned couples not to go through with
marriages if they become uncertain before
walking down the aisle. Citing his wedding as
an example, the father-of- four revealed that he
had a moment of doubt before he tied the knot
but had to go through with it for fear of what
people will say.
"Before you go to the altar, like five to ten
minutes, your mind will be telling you that this
thing is not going to work," he said and when
Iyanda asked if that happened to him, he
replied, "It happened to me, but I felt it because
I was like 'come on, I have so many things to
lose more than what I'm going to gain'.
Because if I do that, it's like I'm against the
rest of the world."
He advised: "So we should hundred percent get
married for what will make you happy.
Regardless of the culture, regardless of your
parents, get married because you want to get
married. Get married because it will make you
happy. Don't get married because Tinuke got
married."

Looks like Hushpuppi has a penchant for
trouble! Over the weekend, the Malaysia
based ‘businessman’ took a photo of stacks of
dollars while aboard a plane and shared it on
Snapchat.
He made sure his passport was showing in
the photo and later explained why. According
to him, this was to deter people from stealing
the photos, just like “uncle bla bla and auntie
bla bla.”
Nigerians of course decoded who he was
taking about – singer, Kcee and actress, Oge
Okoye.
Weeks ago, Kcee was called out for stealing a
photo of someone’s stack of dollars and
passing it off as his own on Instagram, while
Oge Okoye was also slammed out for sharing
a photo of dogs that were not hers, even

days back. While many are happy for him, there
is a particular lady, Ayomide Labinjo, who could
not care less about the new addition to his
family.
The young lady had accused the singer of
impregnating her about three years ago and
abandoning his responsibility as a father. Even
though Davido has publicly denied the child,
Labinjo had since dared him to come out for
another DNA test but the singer has refused.
In a chat with Saturday Beats, Ayomide said
that she is not happy for the singer. She
queried why he would take care of his other
two children and be a doting father to them but
refused to do the same to their alleged child,
Mitchell, whom she claims to be his first child.
Our lawyer has sent a letter to Davido’s father
since April 20, 2017, we have not got any
response till now. I am not happy about this
whole situation. Why would I be happy for
Davido? He should be taking care of Mitchell
the same way he is taking care of Imade and I
know how he is going to take good care of this
one. What is my own offence?” she queried.
When asked if she does not feel that the way
he treats them could be a possible sign that the
kid probably does not belong to the singer, she
challenged him to have another DNA test.
“What do you mean please? Then why isn’t he
coming out for the DNA since he is denying the
little girl? Why has his father refused to get
back to the lawyer? David is the father of my
daughter, at least I was not r*ped. I know who
impregnated me! Besides, if he doesn’t want to
go for the DNA, he has siblings. Let them come

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo wants
both states and the Federal Government to
collaborate with farmers in a bid to end
hunger in the country by year 2025.
The former President made the call at his
residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, when
members of the Egba Cluster Farming
Initiative paid him a courtesy visit.

Obasanjo stated that as the chairman of Zero
Hunger farmers’ organisation in Nigeria, it was
the resolve of the group to achieve this feat
through increased food production, thereby
creating “a situation where no Nigerian goes
to bed or walk about hungry again”.

He said if given support and encouragement,
farmers could make food available and
affordable to Nigerians, thereby creating food
sufficiency in the country.

According to Obasanjo, “Governments can
help the nation’s farmers meet the objective
through policy and creation of a conducive
environment that will encourage food
production.”

The former President urged the delegation to
first start the cluster farming with fish,
poultry, cassava and rice farms that “are less
demanding of facilities before venturing into
tree crops that have long gestation period
before harvest.”

Daughter to the Emir of Kano, Muhammad
Sanusi, Shahida Sanusi, on Friday said her
father will gladly give up the throne if it
stands in the way of truth.

Shehida made the remark while representing
her father at the first annual Chibok Girls
lecture in Abuja.

Stressing that the monarch had dedicated his
life to the truth, Shehida disclosed that Sanusi
had always wanted to be the emir, but he
believes in the truth and will always stand by
the truth.

She said, “My father is not afraid of giving up
his throne if it stands in the way of speaking
the truth. Those who think that my father
would keep quiet because he wants to hold on

Afrobeat singer, Wizkid is making waves in the music world and across the globe.
The release of his latest single ‘Come Closer’ featuring American hip -hop act Drake landed him an interview on Channel 4 which aired last night. He talked about his love for music and how music is a global language. He also talked about using his genre to show the rest of the world the beautiful part of Africa they don’t get to see.

As part of events to mark his 40th birthday,
AbdulRasheed Bello who is popularly known
as JJC Skillz, and his wife, Funke Akindele-
Bello, have launched a record label, SOP
Records.

Already, some artistes – Mo Eazy, Gemstones,
Sonorous and Martinfeelz – have been signed
to SOP Records, which is owned by the
couple, and have performed the soundtrack of
a new TV series, Industreet, produced by
Funke Akindele-Bello.

GemStones are female twins – Awa- Agwu
Uzoma Ruby and Awa- Agwu Olanma Pearl –
who sing Afro RnB.

After graduating in 2015, they auditioned for
the MTN Project Fame Music Competition,
season 8.0 and were both selected to be in
the Reality TV show, with Pearl coming out
First Runner Up and working with Yemi Alade
and Chidinma to release songs, Whatever you
Do and Kedike remix, respectively. Pearl went
on to release her own single, KURO in 2016.
