omonnakoda: Let me tell you how to play te game it should be North versus south that way when you rig you have ALL your people ( South or North as the case may be) on board. It has been clear all along that Tinubu would be the game changer and was buuyable. He misread and miscalculated. I say all of this from the perspective of political strategy not RIGHT or WRONG OBJ carried the South along . He made Azazi COAS . He made Daukoru Minister of state petroleum Iweala Minister of Finance and Soludo CBN governor. That is the difference. Politically he tried to keep people happy.GEJ on the other hand used the I don't give a damn approach and treated the Yorubas with Contempt. Politically that is an own goal. Now who are those fighting for him? Tompolo and Asari . Even among the Ijaws who are the biggest Ijaw politicians or elders . Why did he not settle Tam David-West? He was not well advised I am no fan of OBJ ,or Buhari. I am one of those who felt bitter during the Yar'adua sickness saga. I felt ecstatic in 2010 when he was sworn in. He has let us down.Ijaws can turn the truth on its head and start insulting and threatening everyone. It will NOT work. Nansense. Yorubas alienated themselves from the start. Can you deny that Goodluck's cabinet does not have any body from the southwest? Keep decieving yourself. Lagos, Ekiti, Ondo will all go to Jonathan. Oyo and Ogun is either way. Only osun will vote Buhari but Jonathan will still get at least 30% there. The SouthSouth including Edo will go to the PDP. The southeast will vote massively for Jonathan. Plateau, Benue, Taraba and Adamawa will go to Goodluck as well. Buhari will clinch Kwara, Niger, Nassarawa and Kogi but Jonathan will still record at least 30% there. Kadunna will be dicey and will barely go to Jonathan. Same for Borno. The outcome of which will reflect in the entire voters distribution for the whole country (51 PDP and 49% APC). Why because these states are evenly Christian and Muslim and tht will reflect on the votes). Kano, Sokoto, Katsina, Yobe, ,Kebbi and Jigawa will all go to Buhari but still Goodluck will manage at least 30%. In the end Goodluck will emerge winner with a very tight margin. |

omonnakoda: For those people who want to be objective and reasonable who re not kids remember 1979 Shagai became president. He did not win a single state in SW. Not one! NPN chairman was Akinloye,AG was Akinjide. Abiola was a hieftain in the party and even though Yoruba were in opposition he treated us fairly with respect and dignity Now we are supposed to be talking about Southern Unity and solidarity WHICH I support . GEJ won every state in SW except Osun where he still got the required 25%. How did he treat the SW?? If you are from the SW will you vote in such a person ?
If others are stupid we are not. Please do not bring that anti-Hausa yarn it will NOT sell. Then you come and start making threats, don't be silly. Ask yourselves WHY should SW support you.Did you woo them or did you spit in their face? Keep Calm And Welcome the Jihadis |

It is too late for that now .In politics if you want friends you have to settle.Jona did not settle he thought we were irrelevant and treated us contemptuously. He elevated the likes of Dieziani,Tompolo and Asari. Let them save him. That is the BOTTOMLINE let us not start playing Hausa card at this hour. They will not diss us the way Jona did .Reflect on that and stop talking Jazz. Jona has not done anything for the Niger Delta and has admitted it .If he did nothing when oil was $100 is it when it is $40 he will do magic? Stop feeling like anointed king makers because you are not. Jealousy and envy is at the heart of you shameless covession with the north. waternogeteneny: Nigeria will not survive 2015 and yorubas and hausa will be to blame. Beggars that now want to dictate to the people that pay the bill. The northern cabal ensured the destruction of our railways so that they could cash in with their road haulage. They will later destroy the NNPC relay stations and depots to cash in on the road freighting of fuel. Today, if you travel on the roads you will see more fuel tankers competing with cars. This is the legacy of a corrupt selfish mediocre duo. And today, they have the audacity to shout corruption where they are the main architects and actors of corruption. The main reason they are fighting Jonathan is because he has plugged all their free money access points. Jonathan's govt has gotten rid of ghost workers from the civil service payroll with the recently adopted IPPIS system. Fertilizer subsidy scam is a thing of the past. The huge waste and corruption in the agricultural ministry has been plugged. There are several avenues too much to mention that they used to milk the system that this govt had successfully plugged. The only reason they want Jonathan out is to revert back to business as usual. Now that is the change they are preaching. |

That's why Akpabio should have hasten up the process but rather he fumbled. All waterways and coastal fronts are FG territory. Akwa Ibom can not develop these areas without the federal govt approval. This is why they( northerners and southwest) could easily prevent any development of these viable infrastructure. They did it solely out of fear and jealousy. |

There are many houseboy and girls from AK in Sagamu and elsewhere in the SW outside Lagos this is a fact. Generally you are avery backward and superstitious people held in contempt by Eboes who call you Mmongho Those days are long over. The boy boys and house girls are mainly drawn from your region, Benin republic, Togo and the middle belt. The Omaha drivers are now mainly from Niger republic and the north. Keep hating on them. Politics › Re: The Final Report On Ibom ( Nee Ibaka )sea Port In Akwa Ibom by GBTYO: 9:38am On Jan 31, 2015 |
omonnakoda: You are ignorant. For one even if another port is to be built Ibom or Bomi is not the most competitive place in Nigeria. Lagos has been a long fought over point for centuries. Even in the SW Why have they not built another port in Ogun or Ondo Not to talk of Rivers or Bayelsa. Go and study your Geography well. The West Africa Coast line from Ghana through to Badagry to Lekki is a sweet evacuation line. After that as yu approach Ijebu Waterside you start to enter mangrove or Delta waterways and that continues further east. As you go east entering the Delta it becomes more difficult for bigger vessels to berth. There are two risks in the delta Large vessels will get bogged down or robbed by pirates as they ply more INLAND waterways. Yes some will say DREDGE but it is costly, often with unpredictable environmental consequences like flooding surrounding communities and dredging is not a PERMANENT solution. It will require regular RE-. Quality work is NOT cheap
The other issue is evacuation. Even Lagos today has an evacuation problem . You need infrastructure to evacuate; roads and rail and they cost money too. In an area full of disgruntled militants you also have to factor in a security consideration there are ports in PH and Onne why are they not being used. It is easy to talk but for those of us that have actually imported we know that few if any shippers are willing to ship anywhere but Lagos. Why It is cheaper . The Nose will always be jealous of the mouth and say the body can feed through me, this is true if you use a nasogastric tube.In fact medically you can feed through the RECTUM but easiest and best is the mouth it has NO RIVAL. Lagos is what it is because its coastline is different from EVERY other place in Nigeria including Ogun state its Nearest rival oterwise the logical place for a new SW port would be Ogun not Lekki since then you would be evacuating to Sagamu or Ore and thence onto the express. But Ogun Water side will require dredging and even with that many shippers just WON'T RISK IT. Their insurers will forbid it at least until the security situation in Nigeria changes. So I reckon haters gonna be hating for a long tym Eko oo ni baje Why are you already so pained by this new development? You can't even hide your jealousy. |

I have seen kids killed by their parents because they were "witches" when the more likely reason was poverty. I know AK very very well. How does this change the fact that outside Lagos, where you are not from, Uyo is far ahead of any rural enclave in the southwest? |

Once this port is fully commissioned and operational, just watch the economic table turn from the west to Uyo and Calabar.
This is what that broom wielding fool could not conceptionslize in 8 years as governor of Rivers.
Warri and Saple ports also need to be expanded and concessioned.
By the time all these are in place, watch Lagos turn to port novo. |
