If the dampness occurs at all sections of the building, it’s most likely “raising dampness” aka capillary water movement. There is no easy quick fix. In fact the solution will cost as much as renovating the whole house. I have seen it done, mostly bungalow.
1) cut open the walls around the house at the floor level about one block height
2) Do not break the existing floor
3) pour concrete on the existing flooring.
4) lay DPM all over
5 ) pour another concrete . Then tiles.
However you are likely to face two problems
1) The water will start raising at the doors frames area, that is if you did not remove the doors.
2) Your head room will be shortened, if you did not remove the roof and increased the lintel level.

So you see, it’s not an easy fix. But it can be done. I have seen people do it.
If you have ever lived around itire/Ijesha in Surulere Lagos, this will not be new to you.

Just to learn; by DPM, do you mean german floor or the nylon that is used to cover the foundation before doing the german floor?

What if someone already completed the german floor, without using the nylon, can the nylon still be used when laying the superstructure blocks on top of the german floor as seen in these pictures?

DPM and German Floor are two separate things. DPM is the sheet/membrane which needs to be done before the German Floor.

Skydivine:
Their is no treatment for wall dampness. Only cosmetics. He did not use DPM at the foundation stage. So, the capillary water movement will keep occurring.

Sir, if you mean there's no permanent solution for dampness, then you're right.
But there's treatment for wall dampness; longevity/duration may differ which is much more better than just painting.

Pls, could anyone advise how to go about underground rising water whenever it rain heavily soaking my walls as i get embarrase whenever i am expecting a visitor

I am thinking of Tiling the wall but i dont know if its effective and wont make the interior look some how
