I have few HMs that rub me positively, Mike is one of them but neither should that make me ignore their subtle malevolence.
Unlike you, I'm objective with my perception and appreciation of all HMs regardless of their shortcomings and will say it as it is.
We've had a couple of fights in the house with Mike in full view, how many has he intervened in?
Has he ever spoken to Ella about her attitude which made almost 2/3 of the HMs nominate her including Mike?
He catalogued Ella's excesses to Biggie to justify nominating her but stopped short of calling Ella aside to express his observations.
Now he wants all the Hms that nominated Ella to simply changed their minds about her. How?
I don't believe in cosmetic sympathy when the real issue is left unattended to.
After all this is still a game and everyone is a player.

I know he nominated her and said his reason for doing so was because he had a hunch that some of her behaviours were fake and didn’t understand it but I don’t think he castigated her per se, he had to nominate someone after all. Castigate is a strong word, I would say he ‘took notice’ of something he found flawed in her instead

Plus despite feeling this way about her I don’t think he’s been a part of those acting negatively towards her, so I don’t think he’s being two faced by recognising that she’s being bullied
