I hope you know Chief of War is more like a true life story sha. Kamehameha is a strong and powerful chief who'll later unite the islands, kahekili will be defeated and all the other islands will merge under Kamehameha. He's a wise man and a warrior also.

beautiful animation but I feel like the adaptation was made for donghua readers and not for new fans.

It was very hard to follow and felt like a lore dump rather than a concise story. 4 episodes and I didn't care one bit about any of the characters since the whole thing felt like an RPG video game

I later heard the adaptation was rushed...

Can't say if it got better but the episodes I watched didn't give me hope at all...

Good animation cannot replace concise storytelling...

it actually got better as the story progressed. The second season is slated for 2027 with 30 episodes. The timeliness for the rest of the seasons is crazy, spanning until 2035.

Anyone watching Lord of the Mysteries donghua here? Interesting series if I might say.

I was almost disappointed at the fight between Gaal and The Mule , until the reveal.

Anyway, I dey ready for the four season.

I've never felt such a love love is a very powerful emotion, thats why Gaal couldn't rescue the warden from the grip of the Mule. Also, the fact that the original Mule was already on ground honeymooning with his bf speaks volumes.

If not for the fact that Gaal already tuned magnificos music, she for just love the Mule by force.

Can't wait for Season 4, it'll be very interesting, now that robots are going to be involved, and Gaal escaping by involuntary help from magnifico.

They could have save us the stress and just vnake the movie in English , worst part, they got no subtitles...

The language is an indigenous Hawaiian language, and there's encoded subtitles for every episode I've watched, if yours doesn't have subtitles, there are websites where you could download them from easily.

I prefer watching movies in their original languages rather than being dubbed in English, I feel the emotions in every word spoken and action done.

This episode 12 of The Sandman is just a masterpiece. I could rematch it over and over.

Why jump the bloody part 1-3 to give us part 4

I support the outrage about them skipping 1-3 which made us all love the GOW franchise.

But I believe the crossover to the Norse mythos in GOW4 has more deeper storyline to follow and with Atreus being a giant and all. This gives the writers something to focus on. The 1-3 na just on a mission to kill all gods, we've seen that storyline many times, even as recently as Blood of Zeus, probably they dont want to follow that trope.

All I want to see is Blades of Chaos, na that one concern me pass.

I don't like or watch procedural cop shows but when I saw Maggie Q as the lead I had to. There was also a crossover with another cop show BOSCH. I guess she had an episode or two in that other series.

While I do like her, I didn't like this show. It's almost like a feminist parade, it follows the all men are bad trope . Like 99% of all the men in the show were either depicted as assholes, inconsiderate, mean to women. From Ballard's partners not backing her up when she needed help, both past and present and even when the past one tried to apologize for it, she wasn't having it.

One of her colleagues in the cold case unit was a dude portrayed as having no empathy and a pessimist.

The only 'good' guy in the show was the dude she was sleeping with.

While the women were rays of sunshine. It was just annoying.

4/10.

It's not like they haven't changed traits of major characters in adaptations before and considering the times we are in, all bets are off the table.

You have such a high hopes for the prod team, when one of the writers openly claimed, he wasn't arsed to read the books!

Not saying you shouldn't be bubbly about one of your favourite franchises as you claim, but still open your eyes to logic and the signs of the times.

Personally I don't really give AF about their LGTV thing, as long it's a side quest and doesn't affect the story that much.

Now they've made it the centre of the story, the father is dead, so no father figure anymore, Ellie that isn't cool headed or even have sense ,is now the person that wants to raise a child. Dina is way more sensible and intelligent than Ellie, if Jesse was still around, that child would have a semblance of a home

What am I even rambling on about, show wey dem go cancel. Except they have plenty cash to burn.
